Enjoy our beautiful lakeside cottage in North Central MA. About 90 minutes from either Boston, MA or Hartford, CT. Sleeps 4 (double bed in the bedroom, two twin beds in the loft). Extra-large living room with high ceiling has a working fireplace and dining area. Huge wrap-around screened-in porch provides a beautiful view of almost the entire 35 acre Packard Pond while providing insect-free dining/entertaining area with all the fresh air you could possibly want. Cottage, with its own private beach, is 30 feet from this refreshing, deep, clean 'Massachusetts Great Pond' that allows boating, skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking, canoes, paddleboats, paddleboards, and of course swimming. We provide a paddleboat, two kayaks, and four adult life jackets. While guests may bring their own kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes if they wish, sorry, but they may not bring powerboats or motorboats. (While some property owners have motorboats, most are pontoon boats that motor about quite slowly. There is very little boat traffic on this pond.) Sorry, but outdoor fires are not permitted. Includes full kitchen with all dinnerware, stove, microwave, coffee maker, gas grill, linens, towels, cable TV, and WI-FI. You bring your food, beach towels, and your water toys. Forget something? No worries, grocery shopping, WalMart, fast food, and other necessities are less than 6 miles away! SORRY, BUT NO PETS, NO SMOKING, AND NO PARTIES. Very near to Tully Lake with its camping, picnic area, hiking, water activities, and disc golfing. Several public 18 hole golf courses within 20 miles. Don't miss out on this terrific vacation opportunity!!! PLEASE NOTE - This summer cottage has no heat source other than the fireplace. Sorry, but personal space heaters and air conditioners are NOT permitted. Our cottages are located in a quiet neighborhood. Small groups of visitors are allowed, but large groups or parties are not. Maximum overnight occupancy at this cottage is 4 persons (including all children). On rare occasions, one additional overnight guest may stay for one or two nights, but ONLY WITH PRIOR APPROVAL BY OWNER, and at an additional cost of $25 per person per night. Upon departure, Tenant must leave cottage broom clean, and as you found it (all furniture must be returned to its original location). You must be 25 years old or older to rent this cottage. Sorry, but this cottage is not appropriate for children under the age of four because it is not child-proofed, and has the hazards of multiple sets of stairs, and close proximity to water.

This is a wonderful little cottage for a week or a weekend getaway in the summer. The fireplace was cozy on the chilly mornings, and the large covered porch was a great place to laze around, read a book, and sit down to dinner. Having such immediate access to swimming and kayaking on the pond is the highlight of the place. Ray and his wife are great hosts, and are easily reachable if issues arise. Would certainly stay again.

I picked this cabin for the view and it did not disappoint! Very peaceful lake and amazing L-shaped screened in porch with such a beautiful breeze of the lake. A Slice of Heaven

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! The kitchen had everything we needed, the double doors into the dining/ living room made the inside feel part of the outside. And the porch!! It was the perfect place to sit and read, eat at the outside table,and play games - all while catching the breeze. It was a wonderful stay all around and I can’t wait to return!

What we expected, small rustic, yet close to town and warm sandy pond. Had access to kayaks and swam most of the day. Close to hiking and disc golf. Loved the wrap around porch to enjoy the sunny days without being sunburned and evening lighting storms without getting wet.

Nice place right on the water!

Ray, the owner, was a delight to work with. His house was spotless, and the neighborhood surrounding the pond was lovely. Honestly, even the beach was clean. It looked like they had raked the sand. The pond is truly a little bit of heaven, and I feel grateful we were able to spend time there.

Quiet and relaxing!!!

We had an amazing time! The cabin was beautiful and very rustic with amazing amenities as well. Had our own personal beach with kayaks, a paddleboat and a dock. It did rain for the day that we had to enjoy it, but the house was stocked with great games and a beautiful fireplace. I recommend this place to anybody! We came here as a place to stay so we could go to Soulfest which was held in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It was about 45 minutes away but so much worth the drive! We will definitely be back!

The Lakeside Waterfront Cottage was perfect for a week with our grandchildren Isabel (4) and Jonah (11 months). Everything you need is there. The children could play safe on the covered deck. They also had fun on the beach and our granddaughter loved to swim and go with the paddle boat and row boat. From the screened porch we had a great view over the lake. We had a great time and we hope to come back another time. Thanks Raymond for your hospitality.

This lovely cottage is a true waterfront!

I really enjoyed my stay at this lovely, rustic style cottage! It offers everything you need to experience the true waterfront life. My favorite feature is the spacious screened in porch, which gives the best closeup views of the water. You really are so close to the pond! The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals, and the home has plenty to keep you entertained, like tv, games, etc. The pond is clean, peaceful and so picturesque, especially in the early morning, when the fog sits atop! The neighborhood is very safe, quiet and respectable. I didn’t want to leave and I’d definitely come again!

When we began searching for cottages, we were basically looking for a mixture of fun and serenity, with some good fishing thrown in. I am so glad this property came up in the search because I can't imagine anywhere else being so perfectly suited to what we wanted. The pond was perfect for fishing, swimming, paddling, etc. and the cottage was quiet and clean. Ray and Sue were the best hosts I've ever had through this service. They were right next door when you needed them, and "a million miles away" when you wanted privacy. I honestly cannot express how positive our trip was. We stayed a week, and wanted to stay forever.

Wonderful retreat!

My boyfriend and I came here for a week in August and had a great time! The lake house has a gorgeous view that you can enjoy from the screened porch (no bugs!). The area is very quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated since we wanted to get away from all the noise in NYC. The house comes with just about everything you could need to cook, freshen u,p and relax. We especially liked being able to grill every night :) We took full advantage of the canoe and paddle boat (there's also a row boat), as well as the raft. We even got a great view of the meteor showers while we enjoyed a campfire on the shore. The community is lovely and there's plenty to do within a short distance. We went hiking on the Tully Lake Trail (about 4 miles), visited Wachusett Brewery (about a half hour drive away), went to a local antique shop/barn, and ate at some great restaurants (SS Lobster and The Old Mill). We could have easily found things to do for another week. Ray and Susan were wonderful and answered all our questions. They were on hand right next door but never invaded our privacy. They also gave us great recommendations for places to visit around town. Overall, this was a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to get away from it all.

Perfect Low-Key Vacation Spot

The property is a classic vintage New England "camp" on the water. It reminded me of the camp my parents rented on another lake in the area when we were children. The best feature is the wrap-around screened in porch: perfect for entertaining and just relaxing on the convertible sofa or in the rocking chairs and enjoying the beautiful scenery. A constant breeze keeps you cool. I paddled around the pond in one of the two kayaks provided - the owner provided PFDs for 4 people, as there is also a two-person pedal boat. Even on "busy" days - the weekends and the 4th of July the place remained relatively low-key, no excessive noise. There were a couple of power boats, but most of the boats were pontoon/party boats that move slowly. There were also kayakers and paddle boarders. There are lots of fine hiking trails in the area. Ray, the owner was very friendly and informative. He lives next door to the property. After initial introductions and a quick check-in a day or so later to ensure all is well, he is not intrusive. He took great pains to ensure the kitchen was fully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need in terms of cookware, plates, and utensils. I would definitely rent this property again.

It was much better than expected. Stayed a week with my boyfriend to get away from it all. We had a great time. Lake is nice, water almost too warm. Kayaks were a lot of fun. We also used the paddle boat and row boat. Did some fishing too. Very private. Home was clean with everything we needed. Boyfriend missed the a.c. at times, but he hates the heat. He would prefer an igloo. I was chilly at night at times, but even he was comfortable for the most part. I'm actually trying to go back with my family. I think this place is perfect for a family with kids or a couple like us that needed a vacation. My youngest is 15 and he is going to love it. The owners were great. They are next door if you need anything, but they give you all the privacy you need. Barely saw them. It's too bad they don't rent all year. We did not travel much, but did go whale watching one day. That was about a 2 hour drive. There are other things to do too if you dont mind taking a little drive. I have spent a lot more on places on these sites and have gotten a lot less. We were able to save money and still get a nice vacation. If I was to say anything negative, the only thing I could think of is maybe a bigger TV, which we barely watched anyway, and maybe a larger shower. Even the water pressure was great. No complaints here except maybe pet friendly, but I understand that too. 5 stars from us!

Rustic nostalgic and perfectly relaxing

We stayed a week here and couldn’t have been happier, the property is adorable and super quiet. This rustic camp has all the conveniences of home, the owners really make sure you have everything you need. The porch is to die for!! We sat out every night with cold beer and our Bluetooth speaker and it was completely serene. The large dining table on the porch also makes a great space for a puzzle or something to play board games. The paddle boat and kayaks were so much fun, plenty of universal fit adult life jackets, although we did buy a kids size for our 7 year old before arriving so she’d be able to go out to deeper water to swim with us, the water was warm and the dock was a blast to jump off. The bottom isn’t slimy but I still wore my water shoes, it’s a lake after all there’s always a bit of stuff at the bottom no matter where you go….This place is huge on charm, we didn’t even feel like we were only a half hour from home, it really transports you to a different time and place. There were a few days that got pretty hot so we grabbed a couple extra fans from the store but the breeze off the pond cools everything off nicely at night for sleeping . We liked that the residents around us weren’t super loud, this isn’t a party place, and most of the boats on the pond were pontoon boats of families just cruising around, we could kayak without getting blown over by the wake. Favorite thing was the porch hands down! Least favorite thing, no fire pit for smores, we could’ve used the grill but we had a monsoon the first few days so we just got ice cream at the store instead. There’s a grocery store and a Walmart just a short drive away for anything you might need or have forgotten to pack… There’s a gorgeous old fireplace in the living room but it was just too hot to fire it up during our stay. We would 100% go back for another stay, The Cloutiers are excellent hosts, you can tell they really care about the property and about guest feedback. Thanks for the great vacation!
