Welcome to Sandy Feet Retreat, your ultimate beach getaway nestled in the heart of North Forest Beach, Hilton Head Island, just a three-minute walk from the sand and surf. This spacious 6-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom beach house offers unparalleled comfort and convenience.

Sandy Feet Retreat is more than just a vacation home: it’s two houses in one! The main house features recent renovations, including a fully updated kitchen with a chic coffee bar, stylish new flooring, and contemporary furnishings. Each of the three bathrooms in the main house boasts beautiful walk-in showers, new vanities, and modern fixtures.

Ideal for both relaxation and entertainment, this property includes a large, private pool that can be heated for an additional fee (not available from November 1 to mid-March). The pool area is one of the largest and best on the island, with lounge chairs perfect for soaking up the sun. Please note, diving is not allowed due to pool depth.

The main house offers seamless indoor-outdoor living with a welcoming entrance, a generous dining area, and a Carolina Room that stretches the length of the home. French doors lead to the pool and a covered, screened-in porch featuring a custom-built bar, outdoor seating, and a flat-screen TV. The screened-in porch connects the main house to the two-story guest house, enhancing privacy while maintaining family connectivity.

Inside, the main house includes a cozy living area with a TV, fireplace (not for guest use), and sectional sofa, ideal for gathering with loved ones. The kitchen is fully equipped, ensuring you have everything needed to prepare meals and enjoy your coffee bar.

The guest house adds extra space and comfort, making it perfect for family gatherings, small corporate retreats, or golf groups. It’s conveniently located on the bike trail, just a four-minute walk to Coligny Plaza for shopping, dining, and entertainment, and close to the new Celebration Park.

Additional amenities include a garage stocked with bikes, a beach cart, sand toys, boogie boards, a corn hole toss game, and an extra refrigerator. Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles.

With accommodations for 13-14 guests, including 4 king beds, 2 sets of bunk beds (recommended for kids), 2 day beds, and a sofa sleeper, Sandy Feet Retreat is the perfect setting for unforgettable family vacations and will surely become a cherished retreat you’ll want to return to year after year.

Please note: Weekly rentals are from Saturday to Saturday during the summer months, with a 3-night minimum stay required during the off-season.

Great beach house for families

We had three families - 6 adults and 6 kids between 6-10. This house worked perfectly for us. We loved being able to walk to the beach, town, and having a pool. Bikes are in poor condition so don’t count on them - otherwise house and amenities were great. Outdoor shower was broken but property manager fixed within hours of our call.

This property was perfect for our family. Great walking distance to beach and Coligny Plaza, stores, shops. The teen boys loved having the guest house to themselves, the pre-teens loved the bunk room and the adults loved having king size beds for all! Clean, comfortable and spacious. We also enjoyed having so many beach toys/games/supplies.

Our family had a terrific time enjoying Southwind. The accommodations were perfect for all of us - six adults and six kids! We all felt like we were "at home" on vacation! My kids claim this vacation beat out Disney World. What could get better than that? :)

Family Week in HHI

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and will not be our last! We love how close the house is to the beach and Coligny, we can walk or bike to both. Our family ranges in baby to adult. Having the guest house is great for the family that needs a little space from everyone else. We love the updates to the guest house as well! The screen porch is perfect for gathering at night to watch movies together. This is our favorite house on HHI!

Christmas vacation was excellent

We had our family Christmas in this wonderful home that was very spacious and centrally located on the island. The house has a great layout. Everything you need is provided from the kitchen utensils to bikes to beach toys!! Even the guest house has it’s own washers/dryer, oven/stove… The accommodations are excellent and I will definitely rent it again and recommend it to friends!! Thanks!!

Great house / vacation

The house was great. The pool area had some garbage wrappers around that weren’t picked up prior to our arrival. The house wasn’t cleaned by 4 pm so we had to wait another hour or so before we could get in. The dryer didn’t dry very well I’m not sure if something is wrong with it and the oven needs to be cleaned as every time we cooked the smoke alarm went off. The master bedroom smoke alarm battery died and it kept beeping so we had to take them out. I emailed about it and never heard back from anyone. Besides these little issues the house and location were great.

Sandy Feet Retreat was the perfect house for our group of 13. When we arrived, the house was still being inspected after being cleaned, but we didn't mind. We were happy to get in the house. The bedrooms were big, bathrooms updated, kitchen was updated and a lot more spacious and user friendly than the original pictures showed when we booked. Garage had everything you need for the beach, which is right down the road. Back yard pool was bigger than expected, and the screened in porch was nice. Our week there was very hot and very humid so we did not sit outside until late in the evening. If there is one bit of advice for the owner, being more prompt on fixing things or replacing them. Some of our pool chairs were broken when we arrived. The cleaning inspector was notified and we also called the office. Nothing was done with it. There were plenty at Walmart down the road but I wasn't supplying them. There was a service guy who came to fix the outdoor fridge, but we didn't complain about that, a previous guest must have. With that being said, a great home to rent. We would absolutely stay there again when we come back.

Great time and good economy house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Newly renovated inside but issues with hot water, cable and screen porch electrical issues prevent a 5 star. We had a great time. The pool was great other than no one could tell us how to use the waterfall. Beach supplies were awesome and proximity to beach and coligny was great. This property was nice but lacked the wow factor due to simple issues. We were without cable and wifi for three days due it gfci tripping in patio and frying the cable amp. The cable guy told us their 4th trip in 2 months. Hot water would not accomodate the main house before dinner. We had 7 adults and only half had hot water. Pool would get really cloudy and my pool experience tells me that could have been mitigated with better circulation and use of waterfall. Pool guy shows up midday Wednesday and use so much chemical he told us to stay out 3 hours so we essentially lose use for an entire afternoon. Dont get me wrong, for the price and location this was a great trip but wanted to share these minor things as some people might get upset. Overall good time but no accommodation from the property manager for the issues. Not even a nominal future discount. Our family has rented for over 20 years and anytime issues like this occur, we have been offered dinner, future discounts or refunds. We never except as we know issues can happen but it is about the gesture and wanting to make it right. If these few things were properly addressed this could easily be a 4 star maybe even a 5 star for the price.

The main house is fairly clean although I wish the cleaning people would check under the beds as we found a pair of used shorts/underwear under the master bed. However, the detached house was not clean at all and was full of bugs/mosquitos despite our best efforts. It was so bad that my two girls ended up moving into the main house mid-stay and sleeping on the couch. I understand cleaners on the island are very busy, but there was a significant change in the cleanliness this year compared to our stay last year.

Batteries on our smoke detectors went off but service man came and replaced batteries very quickly. Would Definitely recommend this house.
