About the host

I want guests to enjoy our property as much as we do. The covered patio is truly a little slice of heaven. You can sit in the quiet and calm and look out to stunning views of the vineyard and hillside beyond, where every so often a herd of Charolais cattle come down to feed. The seasonal changes in the vineyard, from budding in the spring, to fruit laden vines in the fall, and after harvest a burst of reds and yellows are so stunning. There are 100+ year old oak trees on the property that provide homes and protection to over 20 varieties of birds. Some stay year round, others stop on their migration to other places. There is an abundance of wildlife that you can spot from time to time, including bobcat, fox, coyotes, wild turkeys, several species of hawks, and vultures and owls (you won't see them, but you will hear them!)

Why they chose this property

Our home is in such a great location. We are 1.5 miles to downtown Napa where there are world class eateries and many live music venues. Attend the Uptown Theatre or Blue Note for a live performance and it only takes a few minutes to drive to the venue, easily park for free during your event and you are back home in just a few minutes. No hassles, no stress! We are also only a half mile to Hwy 29 (locals call it The 29) which is the main artery to travel south to San Francisco or north to Napa Valley wine country. We are also right around the corner from Old Sonoma Road which is the main artery out of town and into the Carneros, another great grape growing region. You can continue on this road into Sonoma County's many luxurious wine country experiences.

What makes this property unique

This is a "unicorn" property. The property of nearly 2 acres, is within Napa City limits. Very private since it sits up and back from the street is exceptionally quiet. We have a beautiful vineyard to enjoy in both the front and backyard. Since moving here, we have planted over 40 deciduous and evergreen trees. Fruit trees including olive, apple, peach, pomegranate, persimmon, fig, orange, lemon, lime, clementine, and a wall of thornless blackberries dot the back and side yard. A second courtyard contains raised garden beds that produce an abundance of vegetables and herbs virtually year round. Friends and family love coming here for the quiet hum of nature that is more and more difficult to experience in our noisy and busy world.

Our home is all on one level - which is uncommon. It is so easy to navigate from inside to outside, from kitchen to bedroom, lending itself to a relaxing visit. It's beautifully appointed with care and design details that delight and pamper. Rustic yet sophisticated, it's a welcoming home meant to be enjoyed.
