We were pleasantly impressed about how comfortable we were in this cozy cabin. It was very clean, efficient layout in the kitchen and bathroom. We loved sitting on the back deck overlooking the creek. Walking distance to shops. Having a security gate to enter the property site was an added plus. We would go back in a minute!
Creekside Cottage was a delightful place to stay in Wimberley. The cottage was comfortable, cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the quiet, the beautiful scenery and the easy walking distance to town. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and hope one day to return to Wimberley and Creekside Cottage.
Overall, very comfortable stay for 4 adults. Location was perfect as able to walk into town for restaurants/ shopping. Just a couple of ‘picadillos’: would have been nice to have porch furniture clean on our arrival; very dirty and had to scrub them to be able to use them to enjoy the porch views, had to use the space under the beds to store suitcases, very dusty and lots of dust bunnies attached to suitcases, and being a family of tall people, toilet very low(good quad workout though)

Lovely retreat
Comfortable, tidy, well-appointed cottage. It was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet weekend retreat. Comfy beds, decently stocked kitchen, attractively updated bathroom, nice linens, and a perfect porch for reading for hours to the sounds of the creek below. We easily walked the distance to the main square. Would definitely return. Thanks for a great stay.
My 2 sisters and I stayed here over a weekend. Loved the setting and the location. The shops (which are fun!) are literally around the corner but with the large creek and trees , you wouldn't even know. Nice and quite and beautiful natural surroundings. I would definitely stay here again. The ONLY downer was how many fees included.
Charming cottage: Enjoyed sitting on the deck/porch and watching the deer, raccoons, squirrels and birds . The sound of the nearby stream was relaxing. Quick access to restaurants and shopping on the square. Recommendation: 1) replace the burn out light bulbs 2) replace the toaster with a small microwave
the cabin was right on the creek, deer were all around, the location was great, could have walked to town. very quiet and peaceful. Had our coffee on the back deck each morning watching the dear.
only thing it needs is a full length mirror for the ladies, and a microwave to heat up your coffee,, the king bed was super comfortable. didn't use other bed so no idea on how comfy. and plenty of nice towels!! great place!!
would rent again for sure!

Little bit of heaven
Beautiful little cabin.updated and decorated in way to bring a sense of peace. The reason for the cleanliness of the cabin was typical of most of places in tourist areas. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattresses need to be replaced because they are swayed. It was like sleeping in a hammock. There were small issues such as the towls were musty sourer smelling and the quilt smelled dirty. The couch also needs to be replaced as it was swayed from excessive use. My suggestions are merely here as suggestions to the owners to make this a hands down 5. I would stay here again. I think the towl and quilt issues are from poor laundering techniques.
It was on the Cypress Creek. The inside of the cottage was great. There was not a microwave. We showed up on Thursday and the groundskeeper came Friday there were leaves and twigs on the deck. When sitting on the deck overlooking the creek there was a fence so you would not go down that way to the creek. You could access the creek just down the way. But sitting on the deck looking at the water just past the fence is all of the leaves and dead branches that had fallen off piled just across the fence. It seemed like this was where all of the dead limbs ended up. Other than that it was ok.

Peaceful
In general, the cottage was really great, very clean, peaceful, and I felt safe with the gate access and very little foot traffic. The property was well maintained. Some of the downsides would be: no fire pit (no burn ban), patio furniture was not clean, and there were no cleaning supplies available for use. There was this smell of sulfur in the bathroom, no Internet TV streaming available (Netflix etc) if you expect that, and I could not reach management after I checked in and looked over the house. There were some maintenance issues that had not been taken care of such as lightbulbs out, no remote instructions, and the back patio fixture and hair dryer would not function. With some attention to detail and customer Response would be a perfect ten.
This was a great little cottage right on the water. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Directions to get in were great. Bring your own pillows. These were the fluffy kind that go totally flat when you lay on them. Also, there was some kind of beef or maybe pork on the tray in the toaster oven. So VERY minor things. We didn't cook but you could there was stuff. This was beautiful spot and I would come back.
Totally enjoyed the stay, the location, deer, raccoons, squirrels, and sitting by the creek.
It was well worth it. I would stay there again. The cottage was very cute and homey. The surroundings are very serene. And loved the free roaming deer. Entertainment and restaurants with in walking distance and I very pleased about that.
We were beyond pleased with our cottage and it’s location! The cottage was adorable and clean and we were greeted by deer and the pleasant sound of the creek. We went to the nearby store for a few groceries for breakfast and one dinner and everything was here that was needed. Wimberley was a sweet town and there were good shops and great food at its restaurants.
And at our ages, who knew we could canoe up and down the creek!? Such a great experience. I cannot wait to come back!
This is my second time to stay at this property. Nice location and felt safe and secure for my cousin and I. Owner needs to call for pest control service. Sugar ants are coming in around the kitchen window and there are several spider webs around porch railing and we killed a tree roach in the living room. Minor issue for us and would stay here again as this was my second time to rent this property.
Thank you so much for offering this great little house. Everything was just as described. It’s a great location close to town and sits right on the creek. We sat on our deck with our coffee each morning and enjoyed the view and the sound of the creek. It was a very relaxing getaway. We will definitely being coming back in the future!
