Welcome to Sol Apartment, the 2nd floor private unit within East Village Apartments, a professionally managed historic brownstone in the heart of the most vibrant area of Manhattan. If you are looking for a spacious and well designed home and a centrally located apartment for your family or friends New York City vacation, look no further. Sol apartment is a modern and elegant 1,100-square-foot, convertible two-bedroom apartment in an authentic New York Townhouse and in a Historic neighborhood. Sunshine filters through the tall windows creating a warm and restful retreat. High ceilings, exposed brick walls, and oak flooring lend the space charm. From the oversized windows in the living room with exquisite Japanese sliding doors, you gaze out at the serene Zen garden below.

With ample space for two guests in the master bedroom, and one person in the second bedroom, you’ll feel right at home in this sunny newly decorated apartment in the heart of the East Village in New York. The spacious master bedroom has a large closet. The smaller bedroom has a twin bed and a beautiful window overlooking the rear garden.

The marble bathroom is equipped with a high-pressure shower, cabinets and a wall mounted hair dryer. The modern, new kitchen has stainless steel appliances — a gas cooking range, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, tea kettle and toaster. There is a washer dryer in the apartment.

Big, clean, well-stocked apartment - even better than pictured. And the location is great -- steps from so many great restaurants, easy walk to Soho shopping & galleries, and a number of subway lines within 5-10 minutes meant the rest of the city was easy see. All interactions with management/cleaning/etc. were prompt and accommodating. We especially loved that they doubled the front windows, so there was no outside noise but you could open them to get a breeze.

Peaceful, good location

Although located in the East Village, this apartment is on a relatively quiet street. The building is well maintained and the other tenants are quiet. At the same time, a subway station is two blocks away. All the restaurants, theaters, and other attractions the East Village has to offer are at your doorstep. The apartment's manager couldn't have been better. He communicated often and responded to our questions promptly, with clear, concise, and helpful information. When a repair was necessary, John, the super, came the same day and fixed it better than new. The apartment itself is meticulously clean, spacious, comfortably furnished, well stocked with kitchen supplies and appliances, including a washer/dryer. All of this contributed to a very enjoyable stay.

Great space for 5/6 people. Clean and easy to get around town. We were lucky enough to spend one night in the suite. We were glad the one night was on last day of our stay. It was very beautiful. wow. Our only probem was that the electrical box smelled badly and concern us. Thanks sudha for a beautiful place to stay.

We followed up on the guest complaint about a rubbery smell from the bedroom, and finally located a faulty outlet, which we changed immediately. Maintenance problems do surface in our 1832 brownstone, but we try to act quickly to fix problems. Guest satisfaction is our priority.

Spacious clean appartment

Nice property, very clean and spacious. Also the communication with the owner was very pleasant. The appartment is situated very centraly, close to the subway. The supermarket (wholefoods) is only two blocks away, 5 minute walk. The only one small disadvantage was the wooden floor, which made a lot of noice walking on the parts which were not covered with carpet.

great place to stay

We had a wunderfull time at app sol in July. The location in east village is perfect with all kinds of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Great supermarket 5 min walking distance. App is clean, spacious all things you need is there. Next time I'll be visiting NY I will stay at east village app. Much better than staying in a hotel!

1st Class Apartments & Ideal Location!!!!

Myself and 5 friends have just returned from a great trip in NY (12/4/10). I strongly recommend staying in East Village Apartments. Situated in an ideal location as Greenwich Village and Soho are only a few blocks away, which are full of nice restaurants / bars and are great for shopping. There's also a nice wee bar just opposite the apartment called "The Whiskey Bar". If you want to go in to central Manhattan, you can hop on the tube which is only round the corner from the apartments and the tube is only a few stops from central Manhattan. The apartments themselves were spotless and have all the requirements of a self catering apartment. Very friendly / helpful staff!!!! I would recommend this property to anyone and we will definately be back!!!! The only problem with our stay was that it wasn't long enough!!!!!!

A weekend in Apartment Sol

The East Village is a wonderful location if you want to get away from the tourist spots and be where the real New Yorkers live. The area can be very lively and therefore noisy at night, so keep windows closed and AC on, but it is very well positioned for the subway and cabs and for generally getting around the city. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We felt very safe. Perfect to soak up the atmosphere. The apartment is fitted to a very high standard. We were two couples. The second bedroom is very small but adequate. Although the rest of the apartment is quite spacious. There is only one mirror, and that is in the bathroom, but again, only a minor problem. For us it was the perfect alternative to an hotel. We loved the area and are happy to recommend it to other travellers who want to sample more than the usual tourist version of the city.

Nice area, great place to stay

Warm welcome and great tips for our stay. Not far located from public transport, so easily to discover the whole of the Big Apple. Stayed with 6 people more then comfortably, and had a wonderfull time there. Well equipped and clean appartment. Something to recommend!
