Beautiful, rustic cabin was everything eight long-time friends needed for a weekend getaway. The host was awesome and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything.

We came for a book club retreat. This house was perfect for us! Lots of room to chat and gather in the kitchen and living room. The basement was a great spot for our karaoke night. Several of us enjoyed walking down to the lake. Plenty of beds/bedrooms for us to be comfortable. I am going to recommend this house for a family vacation with my parents and siblings too! We didn't have kids with us on this trip, but my kids would have loved it! Access to the lodge/resort was a great bonus. Lots of wildlife around (but not in) the house, which was fun!

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

What makes this property unique

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Almost Heaven in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
