Our stay was absolutely beautiful! The location is breathtaking and the home itself is very beautiful. They literally thought of everything we could need and everything was clean and organized! There was so much space and little things like a play-pin and lawn chairs were all provided. We will definitely be back!

Girlfriend Getaway Weekend

This home couldn't be any better! We girls get away a weekend in December every year... coming from as far away as Florida. Everything was perfect. Home was beautiful, Views excellent. And the visits from the neighborhood deer so friendly! Highly recommend this house.

Wonderful house

Quiet and peaceful location in a wonderful community with lake and small beach close to it. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and gym facilities. The vicinity to deep creek and wisp is about 25 mins so it was perfect to avoid commercial crowds while still be able to do all the activities our group wanted. House is massive and had a lot more facilities provided by the host than other houses I have rented ! The welcome basket was met with smiles especially from kids. Thank you for the wonderful house! We enjoyed our time there!

Overall, our stay was great this past weekend. The house was very large and back deck was great for our large gathering. I think the landscaping and mowing needs more attention since very overgrown in the front. I don’t feel like the communication was great with the local rep but again the stay was a great time.

Family Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time at Alpine Lake. The home is very nice and spacious. It sits on a wooded lot within a private neighborhood. There is plenty of living space to just hang out and enjoy family time. The outdoor area is also quite nice, including a large rear deck with a table for outdoor dining. The house is equipped with a fire pit and a couple grills to further enjoy being outside. The lake is just a short walk from the house and we enjoyed hiking around it. The cabin is located in Terra Alta, WV, a small, quiet town in upstate WV that is just a short drive from Maryland and Pennsylvania. There are many neat towns and attractions you can visit from there to further enjoy your stay. I suggest visiting Morgantown and the ski villages of Canaan and Snowshoe. Also, plan on visiting Blackwater Falls State Park. This was a very nice winter trip, maybe we can make it back for summer and enjoy the lake and golf course that are on the property.

Wonderful Time at Alpine Lake

Our family had a great time at Alpine Lake. This house is spacious and nicely designed to accommodate multiple families. It’s centrally located, and the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. We loved seeing deer with fawns in the yard and lightening bugs at night. We enjoyed dinner on the deck at Alpine Lake Resort lodge, swimming at the beach, hiking around the lake and the beautiful and challenging golf course. I would definitely go to Herrington Manor State Park for some additional beach and water fun. It’s close, clean and even has amazing lunch concessions. Swallows Falls State Park is another must see in the area for hiking and waterfalls. We also rented a pontoon boat at Deep Creek Lake, which is about ½ hour away, and did some tubing. We like to bring most of what we’ll need for the week. In this case Walmart is about ½ hour away. Not undoable – just good to know. One additional thing I may have packed would be baby gates since we had little ones and there are stairs. There is a pack and play, though, which was very appreciated. The Wi-Fi at the house was fantastic. I absolutely agree with the other reviews that it is a great place and we do hope to come back again!

Who could ask for anything more!!

This is the second time we have rented this beautiful property! Our family has met for the last three years at Alpine Lake for our combination family business meeting and family reunion. We rent six properties and use the one I own at Alpine as home base for some lodging, meals and activities. We were pleasantly surprised last year when we rented your beautiful home. Everything was perfect- beautifully decorated, well stocked kitchen, dining room with ample seating and a "to die for" master suite. Actually, everyone wanted to stay in that room!! We rented it for this years meeting before we ever left Alpine last year. The only thing we used our rentals for was for sleeping and morning coffee. However, One of our group members cooked in the kitchen there and brought breakfast to our central meeting area. After making quiche for our group, she said the kitchen was efficiently organized and well stocked. The only issue we encountered was last year when all of the upstairs bedrooms were filled. We found ourselves having to use the basement bathroom when everyone was getting ready. Overall, our stay in your beautiful home was perfect!! Also, let me add that communication with the owner was excellent!! Not a single complaint!!

Weekend Getaway

The house had everything we needed for our group of friends. The rooms were good sizes and were clean. House had been remodeled with modern aesthetics and the decorations were nice. Bathrooms were large and check-in/check-out process was very smooth. I didn’t hear anything from the property manager but the owner reached out with all the information we needed. There were a couple of issues with the online listing. It says that it has a view of the lake. The view was a tiny sliver of the water from about 300 feet. You have to cross a road to get to the lake. The other thing the listing mentioned was the ability to use the community amenities. The game room is no longer in existence and the pool can only be used on Tuesdays… The mini golf course is tiny. So don’t plan on those amenities! Overall, we had a good time at the house. We were mainly at Deep Creek Lake, 35 minutes away, for the majority of our stay. The time that we were at the house, we had everything we needed. It was pretty peaceful. It would be nice if check out time was later than 10am. It’s quite early.
