The host was great and was very welcoming and accomodating (even offering breakfast) without being intrusive. Place was clean and met our needs. A little isolated but safe and not a far drive from Newburgh or the bridge.

Mornings were a little noisy but other than that everything was great. I did expect to go swimming in the pool but received a message the day of checking that the pool is closed for the season even though the weather was 80.

We stayed in Carlos’s rental studio for two nights, and we absolutely loved the apartment. It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a short two-night getaway. WIFI working perfectly.The kitchen was well equipped, the atmosphere was cozy, and the best part was the Jacuzzi (was very clean) on the porch, with beautiful romantic outdoor lights in the evening. The garden and the location surrounded by nature made the place very tranquil and relaxing.The billiard room, with its bar-like setup, was a big plus and added a lot of fun to our stay. The pool looked beautiful, although it was already closed for the season.We briefly met Carlos, who lives in the house above. He is a very nice and kind person who made us feel very welcome while also being completely respectful of our privacy. He was always reachable through VRBO messages whenever we needed anything.The location is also excellent—only about 10–15 minutes by car from Front Street along the Hudson, with plenty of nice restaurants. We especially enjoyed Captain Jake’s River View Patio and the food there. Chadwick Park is also only about five minutes away by car and is a very nice place for a stroll along the lake.Since the property is only about 90 minutes from NYC, we will definitely be coming back in the future—hopefully during the summer so we can also enjoy the beautiful pool!Thank you, Carlos, for a wonderful and relaxing stay!
