Quiet, cute, secluded carriage house on the lakefront. Relaxing and had everything we needed for our stay.
Lots of wildlife, and a great place to unwind.
This very nice lakeside carriage house provided a cozy, relaxing base for our Montana adventures. The owners were very accommodating and responsive and we felt very at home. We enjoyed our time canoeing on the lake and taking in the natural surrounding beauty.
A nice apartment detached from the owner’s home, with easy lake access and a short drive to many other options. Owners were kind and congenial without being intrusive.
Patricia and Frank were the kindest people. Their property was beautiful and the lake was amazing! Many things to do in the area. Highly recommend horseback riding at Dream Haven Guest Ranch. And only a short 1 hr 15 min drive to West Glacier. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
We used this as a home base for exploring the Flathead Valley area. It was perfect. The place was clean and well stocked. Patricia and Frank were fantastic.

So glad you had a nice vacation! Come back anytime.
This property was so peaceful! Patricia was there to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. Everything was well kept and cozy. I could enjoy the views all day! The lake was easily accessible and there was plenty of beach to enjoy! This was the perfect place for us to enjoy our time away! We recommend and will be back!
Our stay at the carriage house was such a treat. The proximity to the lake is unbeatable. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and made sure we knew the best spots to visit. Thoughtful touches like the puzzles and dvd collection made a rainy day enjoyable. A perfectly peaceful location makes for the best home base for trips into Glacier National Park. We truly enjoyed our time and would love to come back!

A peaceful retreat yet close enough to various activities, some beautiful scenery, great hiking/fishing and some very good bakeries. Patricia and Frank are amazing hosts and made us feel very welcome. The Carraige House had everything we needed and even when the weather was not cooperative, we were never short of interesting activities and some quiet time enjoying the views. Our best VRBO experience in North America and Europe.
It was an okay experience the bed was pretty uncomfy maybe I'm just picky. The place wasn't super clean stuff in drawers food items expired 10 years lots of spiders and spiderwebs about. The good was that the location was fantastic and the lake was beautiful and had neat accessories.

We’re sorry you found the bed uncomfortable; many people go out of their way to tell us how comfortable it is and that they slept better in the Carriage House than they have in ages. Maybe you’re right, and you are just picky.
We don’t supply any food in the Carriage house-just salt, pepper, cooking oil and coffee. Those are all new this season and replaced as they are used. It’s the guest’s responsibility to feed themselves.
We were incredulous at your statement about spiderwebs, upon inspection, we did find some cobwebs up high on a cabinet. You have a good eye, we got our ladder out and dusted them immediately, thank you.
We had the absolute best time staying here. The place was exactly as described and even roomier than the photos look! We couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back soon!
If you’re looking for an affordable, peaceful place away from the rat race, then this VRBO property is for you!
Very nice hosts, had it ready for me early as I was already in town. The views of the lake and mountains are serene.
Great base camp to make day trips into GNP and investigate the surrounding area. Peaceful lakeside retreat at the time we visited (post Labor Day weekend). Wi-Fi better than advertised; able to stream on laptop without hiccups.
My s/o & I needed a break from what has been a crazy two years, and decided we also wanted to be safe. The carriage house was so perfect! We took the peddle boat out each morning, and relaxed right on the shoreline of the lake. We were greeted kindly by the owners: Patricia and Frank each day and their lovely pup Molly, but left to our own devices. The house is in pristine condition, and we had everything necessary to make sure our stay went smoothly. This is treasure in Montana, and we will most definitely be back to visit!!
The place was very comfortable and included everything we could possibly need. Great location next to a lake and parks! The hosts thought of everything. Would stay here again!
My wife and I just recently spent a week at the DiStefano’s lakeside carriage house on Little Bitterroot Lake. It fit our goals and situation perfectly. The size and amenities of the carriage house were ideal for us. We loved the quietness and beauty of the lake. The property was the right distance from Kalispell to get whatever we needed. We had always wanted to see Glacier National Park - about an hour and a quarter away - and got to do that. One day we drove to Flathead Lake, had lunch in Bigfork right on the lake and went shopping in town. Did I mention huckleberries ……. pie, ice cream, candles and yes even lip gloss for our granddaughter?! In the end, probably the best part was the unique relationship we developed with the DiStefano’s. They gave us “insider” information about the area to make the most of our trip. They were gracious hosts to put it mildly. Create a window in your schedule to stay at the DiStefano’s carriage house on Little Bitterroot Lake.
