A private, scenic escape with gravel beach & hiking trailsWelcome to the Weiss Family Compound. This incredibly private, amazingly scenic setting contains a shared gravel beach, hiking trails and a “mountain” trail. This provides glorious views of Swains Cove and beyond to the Penobscot Bay and Camden Hills. The compound consists of two cottages, which can be rented individually or together.
Weiss Lower is a three bedroom, one bathroom cottage. This private Gambrel is situated amongst lovely granite boulders and birch and white spruce trees. The main floor of the cottage is mostly all open concept with soaring ceilings and open construction so you can see the architecture Weiss Lower enjoys views of Swains Cove and the Penobscot and has a nice trail that provides guests assess to the shared beach.
Weiss Lower has a nicely equipped kitchen with a shared dining area. The home has two comfortable seating areas with comfortable chairs and a full size couch. The home has two sliding doors that open to a nice ocean views deck. The home has a first floor bedroom and bathroom making it ideal for those that are looking for one level living. The first floor bedroom has a King bed, a quiet workspace and a laundry station as the dryer is located in the bedroom. The bathroom is located juts across the hall from the bedroom.
On the second floor of Weiss Lower there is a television room with two daybeds. Off from the lofted TV area there are two additional bedrooms. Each of these bedrooms has two twin beds and a nightstand.
The outside of the home has a great ocean view deck, ample outdoor seating, a gas grill and off the front side of the house, an outdoor shower. The home glorious secluded setting, many hiking trails and great gravel beach make this setting grand for those looking for a nature packed getaway.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
