Grandpa's Place is a beautiful original Queenslander home. It was built in the 1880's and has been relocated, renovated and modernised since then. It is clean, tidy, comfortably furnished and ready for your visit.
It has indoor and outdoor living areas and off street parking.
It is located in a lovely, quiet and leafy neighbourhood with easy access to the M1, public transport and many amenities within walking distance.
Grandpa's Place has timber floors throughout, lovely high ceilings and is elevated to catch the breeze. There is air conditioning in the main living area and fans in all bedrooms.
Three good sized bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and quality linen, 2 bathrooms with plush towels, a modern, fully equipped kitchen and ample living areas will make this your home away from home.
There is a covered back deck set in a tropical garden with undercover seating for 8, as well as a gas barbeque.
The main lounge has comfortable lounges and a new smart TV with Netflix. There is free, unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the house.
The beautiful marble dining table seats 8 in comfort.
Underneath the house is a spacious garage and a table tennis table set up.
High chair and porta cot available on request.
Beach towels are also available on request.

Great place for family!

We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay! The house is clean and not far from Surfers Paradise and the theme parks which is we spent most of our trip. Definitely recommend to stay at this place! :)

Fiona was an Absolute pleasure to deal with and the communication from her was fantastic . Property was very clean and had suited our family perfectly for the event we were in town for. Pretty central to everything on the coast and would definately recommend the place to anyone who wants that cosy ,homely feel for their next holiday stay.

Grandad’s house rocks!!

From the minute we made our enquiry and through the many queries we had, our hostess was more than accomodating. On arrival (myself, husband and another couple), were charmed by the house and all the finishing touches. Kitchen is well equipped (including a cupboard with complimentary staple items) and BBQ / outdoor area was fab. Beds were comfy and each a bathroom was near each double bedroom, with bunks in another. Place is definitely dog friendly as advertised, with full fencing and very secure. And lovely touches such as pet bowls to boot. We had a wonderful stay - thank you!

The house was clean, close to shops and theme parks.

The property owner has me thought of everything a family needs while on holidays. There were plenty of towels and beach towels available. There was a study area, seats next to the kitchen and outdoor area for enjoying the warm outdoors.

Southport is perched right on the beautiful Broadwater which is an easy 20 minute walk away. In Southport town you will find Australia Fair Shopping Centre and cinemas, Gold Coast Chinatown and Broadwater Parklands with a marvellous playground and swimming enclosure.
Right down the hill, a 10 minute walk away is Southport SES Unit, Ned Twohill Equestrian Park, Gold Coast Touch Centre and Southport Tigers Rugby League Club.
Walk in the other direction for 15 minutes and you will find the buzzing village of Chirn Park with multiple cafes and restaurants, a mini mart, post office, chemist, bakery and liquor store.
Just 500m away we have a convenience store and butcher and 2 local cafes.
A short bus ride or catch the G-Link light rail one stop to Griffith University and Gold Coast Private Hospital or 2 stops to GCU Hospital.
Getting around
An easy 15 minute walk to the Queen Street G-Link light rail stop.
Buses in the next street.
Easy access to the M1, theme parks and Brisbane via Smith Street Motorway.
