OUR HOME is a stylishly furnished, comfortable, 2 level home with polished floorboards throughout. The upstairs open plan kitchen/living/dining area has vaulted ceilings, a wood burning fireplace and sliding doors leading to the outdoor entertainment terrace, garden, lawns & pool. The laundry, 3 double bedrooms, modern bathroom & separate WC are also located on this level. Downstairs there is a large study room/4th bedroom with a desk, 2 single beds (king single and a stowaway) and a small bathroom with toilet & shower.
CHILD FRIENDLY Both the rear garden and the pool are fully fenced and adjacent to a big lawn area where the kids can play – all easily visible from the kitchen and outdoor terrace. There are plenty of kids’ movies to keep your children entertained, plus we can offer a highchair and portacot at no extra cost. The Broadwater beaches, parks & kids playgrounds are just down the street.
OUR LOCATION: We have an enviable hilltop location in a quiet residential street in Labrador (just north of Surfers Paradise), offering panoramic coastline views and balmy sea breezes. We are so handy to everything….just a short stroll down the street to the alfresco cafes, restaurants & bars along the waterfront. The Broadwater offers a wide range of outdoor recreational activities including beaches & swimming lagoon, kids playgrounds, watersports, fishing, boating, waterside parks & walking tracks.

Great communication with the host and property exactly as described. Terrific for a large family with a lovely outdoor terrace, large garden and pool. Close to beach and just a short drive to major attractions.

The 4th “bedroom” is a farce…no adequate window covering ie my daughter felt unsafe because anybody who chanced to walk by could see into her room, had to move her to another roomNo first aid box available, should be a givenNo privacy in the pool / back of house area, completely open to neighbours being able to see inOwner continued to prompt throughout the stay with unnecessary instructionWas charged a bbq cleaning bill at the end of the stay…we had to clean it when we arrivedBe careful of loose tiles around the property, a trip hazardTerrible water pressure in the showers

It is sad that none of the above perceived shortcomings were mentioned by you until AFTER you had checked out and been advised of the charge for leaving the dirty BBQ! Obviously nothing was going to please you about our home and I am sorry if you did not enjoy your stay.
Closing the blinds in the bedroom would have ensured more privacy. Cleaning the BBQ after use is common practice and this is mentioned in our house rules...a copy of which was sent to you when you made your reservation. There is also a laminated notice which is kept next to the BBQ tools, which advises guests how to clean the BBQ and reminds them of the charge.
As you will note from our many guests reviews, most of our guests enjoy our big pool and spacious back yard and relaxing terrace and I am sorry if you found the boundary hedging was not high enough to offer you the privacy you desired...somewhat difficult to achieve when we are on a slope with a neighbouring property above us.
Perhaps a smaller home with an indoor pool might suit you better for your next holiday?

Stunning location, lovley and clean & comfortable, we all had an enjoyable stay
We had a wonderful time, the house was the perfect getaway for what we needed, close to the GC Performance Centre, Harbour Town and away from the hustle of Surfers. And the host was a pleasure to deal with.
Maggie’s house was as described, it is in a great location close to shops and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of surfers. Pool was great, communication was great from accomodating our checkin to check out.The house had everything you need for a family stay would stay again.

What a delight to have stayed here for a few days. Big, clean, beautifully furnished property. Spectacular views and pool was amazing - temperature perfect. The landscaped gardens were lovely - cascading bougainvillea, yello hibiscus, traveller Pam. Owners did amazing job of making sure you want for nothing!

The house was in a lovely quiet area close to shops, restaurants and beaches. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Easy checkin process and a very obliging owner. Everyone loved the pool and had lots of fun. I highly recommend this property as a great holiday rental.
Host gave us very clear and easy directions on how to find the house. Layout really suited the family and the pool alone was a massive winner on the hot days. Views and breezes from the outdoor patio was excellent. Highly recommend.
I had a wonderful stay! The place was immaculately clean, and the highlight was definitely the fabulous pool. The refreshing dip added an extra layer of enjoyment to my overall experience. Highly recommend!

The property was amazing. The kids would not stay out of the pool. They would be in there at 7 am till 6 pm. It was a good location for us cause we away from all the chaos in surface and Broadway beach. I would recommend it to any family with children, the host was amazing.
This property was exactly what the Dr ordered. Well appointed and was everything that the online ad promised. Close to a little cafe for morning coffee and milkshakes and a less than 10 min drive to many restaurants and shopping outlets. Very convenient, if you have a car, to everything you could possibly need including the aqua park, trampoline parks and 10 pin bowling if you don't fancy spending thousands on theme parks but need some entertainment options for the kids. Maggie was such a beautiful host and was really responsive to any question that I had. I'll come back for sure
Maggie has a lovely home, you will want for nothing. A short walk to a park, a coffee shop and close to the beach ( long walk )
The property is on a hill, so the views are amazing. Only downside is the steep hill.
4 takeaways within 5 minutes walk and the coffee shop does cakes and some lunch items. it is a grewt base for a family holiday. The hiuse is huge, and there are 2 full bathrooms, so even with lots of people there are plenty of facilities.
It was very easy to get to all of the parks, outlet shopping malls and the seafront. Local restaurants are great. Minimal outside noise.
The large pool really made our stay.
The house was a bit smaller than we expected. There is a great queen bedroom with walk-in robe, and two much smaller rooms (1 dbl bed, 1 with 2 singles), and all 3 bedrooms share 1 bathroom/toilet on the main level. The 2nd shower/toilet is downstairs off a strange room that must be bedroom 4 but didn’t have a bed set up. Still, if it’d just been parents/kids then we wouldn’t have even gone down there.
I was also a bit meh about the living area as the lovely big windows have very imposing diamond security screens that made it feel very enclosed but I’m a bit claustrophobic so maybe it was just me. Lovely veranda with outside seating. The gardens are immaculate.
The kitchen really has everything you could possibly need.
I think the gutters might need a clean out, or the aircon is on the roof. There was a constant drip of water from the gutter onto the front veranda. Someone before us had moved a pot plant under but it didn’t stop it. But I didn’t mention it to the owner so I can’t really moan. It’s also quite a noisy house to walk around but that may only be because I have a 6yo with the grace of an elephant.
Still it should be said that the house was cheaper than a lot of comparable properties, nothing was a deal-breaker and we had a really good holiday.

Thank you very much for your kind review, we are pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our holiday home. Our swimming pool and back terrace area is always a winner with our guests! I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few issues in response to some of your comments about our home.
I think perhaps you may be a little confused about the size of the beds. The master bedroom has a standard Australian King size bed (L203cm x W183cm) and the 2nd bedroom has a standard Queen bed (L203cm x W153cm). There are no double beds in our home. The downstairs beds in the large study room are not made up if they are not required by the current guests.
We have wooden floorboards throughout our home, so if you live in a fully carpeted home, then yes I agree that you would find it a little noisier, especially as you point out, with young children running around the house!
The front gutter has a spitter in it…this is a specially designed overflow pipe built into the gutter and a common solution to cope with the overflow of water from the gutters during very heavy rainfall. We have of course seen some exceptionally heavy downpours in recent months and I do apologise if the noise of dripping water was annoying to you.
You were very lucky to secure such reasonable rental rates for our home! This was because you booked many months in advance and before I had time to review and adjust our rate structure for the year ahead! We do however feel that our home offers good value for money at all times, especially when compared with similar homes along the coast of comparable standard and amenities.

A great spacious house with views to the Broadwater. Very comfortable and clean and lovely outdoor entertaining area. Well maintained large pool and gardens. We enjoyed our Stay!
Maggie’s place is in a quite part of Labrador, with a number of great cafes and restaurants nearby. The house is spacious and well equipped.
The main attraction is surely the large verandah with great view of the gold coast skyline and the large pool .
It’s only a short drive to Sea World and main beach.

Hubby and I live in Sydney and are now retired. We have family living on the Gold Coast and we spend several months throughout the year, visiting our holiday home. We love relaxing on our patio, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the view! We also enjoy pottering in our garden, playing social golf (the Gold Coast has many excellent golf courses open to the public), and catching up with family. We especially love visiting during the winter months to escape the chilly weather in Sydney.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home because of its hilltop location, lovely Broadwater views and proximity to the waterfront restaurants & cafes. We really appreciate the balmy sea breezes which are especially welcoming on those warmer summer days. We also love the peace and quiet of our neighbourhood, and our morning walks along the beachfront and waterfront parklands on Marine Parade.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with our holiday home because of the north east facing aspect and the outlook and views enjoyed from the outdoor dining terrace. Our terrace overlooks a big tropical garden/lawn area and a large swimming pool and is very private and peaceful. We love eating on the terrace (breakfast, lunch & dinner!) and enjoying the wonderful views of the coastline and Broadwater. Our perfect aspect and covered patio area means that we can enjoy both sun & shade all year round.
