Other Things to Note:

1- Driveway parking is available for up to 4 cars. Please do not park on the right side marked “Reserved for Caretaker.”

2- The upstairs game room/library features a low railing. For safety, parents must supervise children at all times when using this area.

3- Pets are welcome — up to 2 pets with a $150 per pet fee (or $300 total for two).

4- Like any nature-forward waterfront retreat, you may encounter the occasional insect or small critter — keeping doors and windows closed goes a long way.

Pros: The property was clean. The architecture of the home was beautiful and there were many games, puzzles, etc. The home is near a Naval shipyard, and we got to see a lot of military crafts passing by in front of the home, including a submarine at one point. The owners are overall quiet and respectful. Other than sleep it was a positive stay.Cons: Listing this as an "entire home" for rent is somewhat misleading. The owners live in an "attached ADU" with a separate entrance, however the "ADU" is just a part of the home that is closed off. There are 2 points where this is obvious- one is a door that attaches to the primary bedroom that is sealed shut, but still has a 1" crack underneath where light and noise come through. The owners have a dog that barks, and we were often able to hear things like snoring, moving around, tools being used, etc., almost like having a roommate. If the property were listed at a lower price and it was made clear that the owners live in a part of the home that is just behind a closed door from the primary bedroom, it wouldn't be a big deal, but for the price of the rental and the fact that it is listed as renting an entire home, this was definitely a con. The bed in the primary bedroom was quite uncomfortable, saggy, and noisy, and we had to move to a different bed (the other 2 are not much better) due to back/neck pain and not sleeping. Given the price of the rental, the beds and living room furniture should be much higher quality.

The property was very relaxing, spacious with lots of amenities. The view of the sound was nothing short of amazing and tranquil. We used the rubber boots on site to go walk during low tide which was fun. So much sea life. The selection of movies was extensive. The puzzles on the walls were really cool and unique.
