The house offers 270 degree unobstructed waterfront views of Puget Sound, Mt Baker, Cascade Mt. range . A secluded setting with a large green belt on one side and a house set back from visibility on the other. Sit in the solarium and watch the eagles fly right overhead or fish in the water below or deer passing through and grazing in our garden. Enjoy drinking a morning espresso you made from our professional Italian espresso machine.

You'll enjoy unobstructed views from virtually every room in the house. Watch the ever changing activity of cruise ships, sailboats, tankers or an occasional nuclear submarine from our large deck or our cozy solarium. The natural landscaped yard is designed for the enjoyment of the wildlife, privacy and easy maintenance and features a tranquil pond and natural woodland setting. We leave plants with seeds for the wildlife to feed through the winter.

There is a trail behind the house leading down to the beach. At low tide enjoy a walk exploring over a mile of beach, dig for clams or just sit on a log and relax next to a beach fire.

We also have , 2 two-man kayaks and on single man kayak (in summer only) for guests to us. Want to do some foraging? We have crab pots and clamming tools for your enjoyment. We have Geoducks!!! Or just kick back on the large deck or in the solarium and watch the deer and racoons wander through the yard on any given day or watch the eagles soaring above fishing the waters on our beach below. Many birds stop by for a drink from our pond just outside of the solarium. There is a small patio on the south side of the house to savor the late afternoon sun and the view while lounging in our "outdoor living room patio" with a glass of wine. Cushions and pillows are stored just to the left side of the man door to the garage.

The fully equipped kitchen has a 5-burner professional gas cook top, double ovens and large side-by-side refrigerator, (We have a second full size refrigerator in the laundry room next to the pantry ( storage for your box store shopping trips.) There are beautiful granite slab countertops in the kitchen, and a view that makes cooking a real pleasure. Or you can pull up a bar stool to the eating counter and grab a quick snack. Fine dining is minutes away at several of our favorite restaurants if you aren't in the mood for cooking.

The living room has a stone wall with a gas fireplace and a 55" Samsung Smart TV. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas in front of the fireplace and enjoy great conversation, a good book or a glass of wine. Or, simply admire the beauty of the view.

The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, a king sized bed and 12' sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Lie in bed and enjoy the electric fireplace in the evening and see the cruise ships heading back to port. Or if you're an early riser, watch the sun rise over the Cascade Mts and amazing sunrises. The Master bath vanity has double sink with granite slab counter top, spa-like shower with double shower heads, and like almost everywhere in this home, incredible water and mountain views!

Bedroom 2 has queen sized bed and a garden view. (The only room in the house without ocean and mountain views.)

Bedroom 3 is very large with queen bed (and available space for our queen, double high air bed available for those groups looking for a couple more sleeping spots). Glass doors open to the deck. Relax with a cup of coffee at the bistro table with four chairs and view the marvelous water and mountain views or the turn on the electric fireplace for added enjoyment .

Bedroom 4 is in our second floor loft. It has a queen bed as well as a convertible double sofa bed.

We have a private office area in the loft with its own spectacular views equipped with a desk, ergonomic chair and office basics supplies (if you really need to do some work).

The house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated in a Nautical theme to make your stay feel extra special and comfortable.

The soft breezes from the water below make grilling and dining on the deck table a real pleasure.

Several comfortable lounge chairs are also provided on the deck. Try to spot the seals and otters on the rocks below with the telescopes and binoculars provided or just marvel at the incredible view. There is another patio with lounge chairs on south end of the yard to enjoy the afternoon sun and Happy Hour.

We spent the majority of our time in the solarium or on the wide porch. Fabulous views of the Sound with cruise ships venturing between Seattle and Alaska, pleasure sailboats, smaller craft dropping crab pots with their buoy markers. But right in the backyard we spotted hummingbirds, eagles, Steller's jays, Northern cardinals, grosbeaks, quail, goldfinches, orioles, on & on. Also there were deer, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits wandering through for a sip at the pond.Beds were comfortable. Kitchen replete with everything. Just a short drive to Port Townsend and Chimacum farmers' markets. We honestly didn't want to leave!

It was so nice we didn’t want to leave…

We loved this place so much we have already booked it again! The location is amazing, with wonderful views of the water and boats going by. The outside area is so calming and welcoming. The house itself is very nice and I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It was clean, well set up, and very comfortable. I definitely recommend staying here.

Very nice home in beautiful location with views of the shipping canal. Not many options for eating close by, but Poulsbo was close enough and had many choices. Port Gamble had 2 nice restaurants as well.

Wonderful home

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful home and everything about it was almost perfect. We spent most of our time in the sunroom and the furniture was comfy and the view was amazing. One morning we saw a group of whales go by. I took a video, but it isn’t the best. The only downsides for us, which would not be a problem for most people were the steps down into the living room. My little Scottie dog is crippled and we brought a ramp for the front outside step, but he had to be carried down the living room steps and again onto the deck. I have severe Arthritis and the toilets were so short as to be almost undoable for me. I managed, but it was very painful. The fire tv stick was missing in the far right bedroom. These were minor things and we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to everyone!

Great house, amazing views

This was a great place to stay. No hidden surprises. Everything we needed was there. Wonderful to wake up and watch the sunrise over the water from bed. Hosts were available if we needed but not overbearing. House is in a neighborhood of sorts so there are other houses around but the way things are situated there is tremendous privacy. We never saw anyone else or heard a peep. Walked down to the inn at the resort one evening and had a lovely dinner. Review written from phone hence brevity.

Wonderful setting

Had a great time with the family. Planned this little get away back in December and we were just thrilled with the property. Perfect for 3 couples and a few young ones. Everyone had a great time. The views are astounding. Only negative comment is the listing pictures don’t do it justice, this home is much nicer than even the pictures show.

Perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the PNW

We rented this house because it was so large, with wonderful outdoor spaces and a glassed in porch in case it was rainy. We wanted lots of space to distance because of covid-19 and were meeting with friends who live in Pt Townsend and no one wanted to potentially expose the others. It was perfect for that - lots of windows to open and separate sleeping areas. I think we all stayed safe and hope to return in the future!

Greatspot

We are eight senior guys, golfers from the Seattle/Tacoma area. Our annual August outing included a stay in this house. It couldn't have been better. We spent most of the morning and evening hours at the table on the waterside deck. All needing separate beds, we were very comfortable with one air mattress in the sun porch and another on the deck (though there was plenty of room for it inside). We've never enjoyed a place as much and we've been doing this for 15 years.

Idyllic Retreat on the Sound

My book club of six senior ladies has been going on an annual retreat for the past 16 years and this place is one of our all-time favorites. The solarium was so relaxing: a great place to enjoy our morning coffee while watching the birds and squirrels, as if we were part of their environment. The doe with her two fawns even came while we were there. The neighborhood is very quiet. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were spotless, and the kitchen was easy to work in, with the incredible view of the water as we cooked. One of us even used an app to identify the ships sailing by. What fun!

Would Stay Again

This is a very nice house with a beautiful view of the sound and Cascade mountains. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. If you are planning on doing a lot of cooking (we were there for Thanksgiving) note that the ovens are not full size. We cooked the turkey on the BBQ which worked out great. The beds were all very comfortable with plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. Wifi was super. The only downside was the dishwasher was broken when we arrived. The owners responded very quickly to our message and offered to get someone out as soon as possible which was very gracious but we opted to wash by hand as we had plenty of people to help out.

Returning Customers For Life!

We love to stay at this home in Port Ludlow. It's a beautiful home with unmatched views, and a large, sprawling floor plan with lots of room for our big family. The home is clean, and the owners give you all the times you'll need to stay comfortable, fed, and entertained. The only downfalls for us, personally: WIFI is very weak, and the there is limited cable. BUT! We know that's not a deterrant for most. However, we stayed here for almost a week with our extended family (several kids) so we rely on WIFI (iPads) and favorite shows for wind-down/nap times for the little ones. We definitely made it work,, but that would be the one improvement we'd like to see, if possible (sometimes due to location/reception, it's out of the homeowner's hands). Other than that, this is our favorite place to stay! We miss waking up to those stunning views each morning!

Great anniversary trip

We stayed here for our parents' 50th anniversary celebration and had a really nice time. The home was well equipped for our 9 people. There was room both for the kids to play and the adults to relax. And if kids needed to go to bed while the parents stayed up visiting, there was enough room for them to do so without us needing to worry about keeping the kids up. The views were gorgeous. We spent several mornings looking out at the water from the dayroom or deck. Our kids really bonded with their dad and grandpa as they explored the bird books and looked through the monoculars for wildlife. If you wish to sleep in, be sure to use eyewear. The bedrooms face the east with unobstructed views of the sunrise. We have some very nice pictures of the pretty colors as the sun broke the horizon each day. While at the house, we took day trips to Hurricane Ridge (with it's magnificent vistas), Poulsbo (for great pastries), and Port Townsend (for it's small town flair). The house is only a 90 minute drive from the Port Angeles ferry as well. We had come from a weekend in Victoria right before our stay in Port Ludlow, and anyone wanting to make a full day of it, could probably explore a bit of the BC city while overnighting at the house if they wanted to. In the mornings and evenings, my sisters and I shared cooking duties in the kitchen--which had plenty of appliances, cooking pans, and utensils for us to use. Overall, this home would make a great place for families wishing to relax as well as wishing to enjoy exploring the region.

WOW.... just... WOW

I'm not even sure I know where to start other than to say... WOW. An absolutely beautiful home with an unbelievable view, a virtually silent neighborhood *and* at a very good price. It was, by far, the best place we've stayed in when going on our yearly vacation with my sister-in-law and her husband. The kitchen is big enough to have numerous people helping out without bumping into each other and since it is an open floor plan, you can still interact with anyone in the dining area or living room area. Large windows are everywhere so you always have a great view of the Sound. I could have stared at it all week. Speaking of windows.... who needs curtains when the only thing looking into the window is a hummingbird? Or a duck? It was actually a great feeling to wake up with the sun streaming in (but for those who don't, the owner provides sleep masks - yay!) Our 17 year old son stayed upstairs while the rest of us were in the bedrooms downstairs, nicely spaced apart, so I have absolutely no idea when he went to sleep and I didn't hear his video games either. The shower in the jack'n'jll bathroom made me think I was in a luxury spa - two shower heads, a teak floor, and tons of natural light. Win! We'd love to go back and just hang at the house for the week and to heck with traveling around doing the tourist thing. It was so relaxing, I simply cannot say enough good things. Now, I do want to make mention of something. Port Ludlow is about an hour away from Seattle and it involves a ferry ride if you don't want to go down to Tacoma and go around. We wanted to be able to visit the city but not be close to it so Port Ludlow was definitely a selling point for us. Look at your maps and keep in mind that it will be a three hour ride to Anacortes and three hours to Mt. Rainier. Also, plan your grocery shopping accordingly. We happened to get to the house later on Saturday evening and didn't realize there is really no grocery store in town. There is a tiny market where you can get a few things but it's expensive (think gas station priced bread) and, as an aside, keep your eyes open for deer on the sides of the road!

View of Puget Sound is awesome. Cleaning service is not up to the standards this house deserves. Floors not adequately cleaned. Problems with TV in master bedroom. Contact with owners was great. Jay was very prompt in returning calls. We were not aware that the garage would be locked up, unavailable. Path to the beach was not well defined, maintained. Difficult. Overall nice house with great view but needs a few improvements for the price.

Why they chose this property

Our family owned a condo at the resort a short distance away since 1962, about a mile from the home we purchased for retirement. So the area was familiar to us. A friend designed this custom home., we were thrilled when it came on the market and snatched it right up. Living in the Seattle area makes for a quick weekend get-away or a long-term vacation spot. We love it here!

What makes this property unique

The first time we walked into the house we were captivated by the incredible views. We have complete privacy and no need for curtains or blinds to block the view. For those who do not like being woken up by a beautiful sunrise we have installed drapes. Bald Eagles nest in trees close by the house so they are constantly flying overhead or fishing in the water below. Deer wander through the yard daily and there is abundant bird life.Take the trail behind our house down to the beach and enjoy over a mile of beach combing (at lower tides). You can also take our 3 kayaks (summer only) for some excercise.
