Enjoy the incredible views from this lovely custom-built high-bank waterfront home that will take your breath away. The house offers 270 degree unobstructed waterfront views of Puget Sound, Mt Baker, Cascade Mt. range . A secluded setting with a large green belt on one side and a house set back from visibility on the other. Sit in the solarium and watch the eagles fly right overhead or fish in the water below or deer passing through and grazing in our garden. Enjoy drinking a morning espresso you made from our professional Italian espresso machine.
You'll enjoy unobstructed views from virtually every room in the house. Watch the ever changing activity of cruise ships, sailboats, tankers or an occasional nuclear submarine from our large deck or our cozy solarium. The natural landscaped yard is designed for the enjoyment of the wildlife, privacy and easy maintenance and features a tranquil pond and natural woodland setting. We leave plants with seeds for the wildlife to feed through the winter.
There is a trail behind the house leading down to the beach. At low tide enjoy a walk exploring over a mile of beach, dig for clams or just sit on a log and relax next to a beach fire.
We also have , 2 two-man kayaks and on single man kayak (in summer only) for guests to us. Want to do some foraging? We have crab pots and clamming tools for your enjoyment. We have Geoducks!!! Or just kick back on the large deck or in the solarium and watch the deer and racoons wander through the yard on any given day or watch the eagles soaring above fishing the waters on our beach below. Many birds stop by for a drink from our pond just outside of the solarium. There is a small patio on the south side of the house to savor the late afternoon sun and the view while lounging in our "outdoor living room patio" with a glass of wine. Cushions and pillows are stored just to the left side of the man door to the garage.
The fully equipped kitchen has a 5-burner professional gas cook top, double ovens and large side-by-side refrigerator, (We have a second full size refrigerator in the laundry room next to the pantry ( storage for your box store shopping trips.) There are beautiful granite slab countertops in the kitchen, and a view that makes cooking a real pleasure. Or you can pull up a bar stool to the eating counter and grab a quick snack. Fine dining is minutes away at several of our favorite restaurants if you aren't in the mood for cooking.
The living room has a stone wall with a gas fireplace and a 55" Samsung Smart TV. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas in front of the fireplace and enjoy great conversation, a good book or a glass of wine. Or, simply admire the beauty of the view.
The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, a king sized bed and 12' sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Lie in bed and enjoy the electric fireplace in the evening and see the cruise ships heading back to port. Or if you're an early riser, watch the sun rise over the Cascade Mts and amazing sunrises. The Master bath vanity has double sink with granite slab counter top, spa-like shower with double shower heads, and like almost everywhere in this home, incredible water and mountain views!
Bedroom 2 has queen sized bed and a garden view. (The only room in the house without ocean and mountain views.)
Bedroom 3 is very large with queen bed (and available space for our queen, double high air bed available for those groups looking for a couple more sleeping spots). Glass doors open to the deck. Relax with a cup of coffee at the bistro table with four chairs and view the marvelous water and mountain views or the turn on the electric fireplace for added enjoyment .
Bedroom 4 is in our second floor loft. It has a queen bed as well as a convertible double sofa bed.
We have a private office area in the loft with its own spectacular views equipped with a desk, ergonomic chair and office basics supplies (if you really need to do some work).
The house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated in a Nautical theme to make your stay feel extra special and comfortable.
The soft breezes from the water below make grilling and dining on the deck table a real pleasure.
Several comfortable lounge chairs are also provided on the deck. Try to spot the seals and otters on the rocks below with the telescopes and binoculars provided or just marvel at the incredible view. There is another patio with lounge chairs on south end of the yard to enjoy the afternoon sun and Happy Hour.

About the host
Hosted by Joan and Jay
I am a retired legal assistant and my husband is a retired real estate developer and consultant.
Why they chose this property
Our family owned a condo at the resort a short distance away since 1962, about a mile from the home we purchased for retirement. So the area was familiar to us. A friend designed this custom home., we were thrilled when it came on the market and snatched it right up. Living in the Seattle area makes for a quick weekend get-away or a long-term vacation spot. We love it here!
What makes this property unique
The first time we walked into the house we were captivated by the incredible views. We have complete privacy and no need for curtains or blinds to block the view. For those who do not like being woken up by a beautiful sunrise we have installed drapes. Bald Eagles nest in trees close by the house so they are constantly flying overhead or fishing in the water below. Deer wander through the yard daily and there is abundant bird life.Take the trail behind our house down to the beach and enjoy over a mile of beach combing (at lower tides). You can also take our 3 kayaks (summer only) for some excercise.
