The cabin is the perfect stay for 2 persons. It is well appointed, thoughtfully provisioned and neat as a pin. It has a great back deck and the beds are super comfortable. Made for the best fishing trip ever. Thanks!
If I could get this more than five stars I would. This was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed at. The owner was very meticulous paid attention to so many details things I didn’t even think of. Definitely would recommend to anyone that would want to stay here.
This place was clean, had all the amenities needed, and was centrally located in the Traverse City Interlochen area. During our stay we really felt like it was a home away from home. Would 100% stay here again and would encourage others to stay as well. The game room in the garage and the fire pit were big hits.
We had a great time! The cabin was so cute and clean. We played games in the game room. The cabin was the nicest one we stayed in so far. It had everything we needed, perfect! Thank for a wonderful week!!!
We came from California for a week-long family reunion at nearby Long Lake. This property was perfect for us! Quiet retreat, attractive building itself, very clean (important) and well provisioned with kitchenware and papergoods (often shorted in some places). The beds were comfortable and we had a recliner chair for sleeping when the back went out canoeing. Would definitely return.
close to Interlochen, where my son was teaching this month. Great fishing, hiking. Close to the dunes, shores of Lake Michigan, and Traverse City. The place was super clean, with every attention to detail. We loved the firepit in the backyard. It was quiet, on a wooded property, but in a neighborhood. So peaceful and quiet. Plus the garage had a foosball table and ping pong. Great for when the kids came over to visit.

I was surprised there was not a dishwasher.
The beds were very comfortable although the one in the smaller room was almost too high to get into.
This cottage scores BIG from a well-seasoned renter.
The two bedroom setup with a well stocked kitchen was perfect for a short visit to Interlochen while spending time with my teenage niece. She needed a break from school and reminders of home, so we set up to cook and bake -- one of our favorite pastimes together. Although just 5 minutes away from school, we felt like we were miles away on vacation. Traverse City being a short drive away provided us social activity. So, the location was perfect, especially since we overslept and were scrambling to finish a batch of cookies on our departure morning!
The cottage is immaculate; a must for anyone who spends time in the kitchen. All of the furniture was fresh and clean and the beds were comfy. (I mentioned that we overslept, haha) We also took advantage of the washer and dryer for my niece's laundry which provided us more time together for a short weekend.
Adding a light snow to the already quiet surroundings provided tranquility that we appreciated as we warmed with a beverage in the glow of the gas fireplace. (Yes, our host also ensured there was a snow shovel and salt at the doorstep)
The only thing I could recommend outside of "you should book a stay!" is quite trivial, but we would have appreciated a window covering for privacy at the front door since it is a clear view throughout the main living area.
This owner has done everything perfectly to make a short or long stay comfortable and easy!
We loved our stay in this tranquil retreat in Interlochen. The kids had a ton of fun playing ping pong, foosball, and badminton in the backyard! Great location for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes. The property was exactly as in the listing. Thank you!
The property was very clean and although there is no air conditioning, the home stayed pretty cool even in 90 degree July. The information book the property manager put together was extremely helpful and done very well. We rode our bikes through the nearby campground which was a lot of fun and had pretty views. The home had everything we needed and we were able to play ping pong and foosball if it was rainy. Very nice wildlife in the backyard. We would highly recommend and would visit here again!
Our jaws dropped when we opened the front door and saw the cabin. It was so pretty with the big windows covering the entire back wall. We had fun roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. Everything was so clean and comfortable. We walked to the beach access near by and had fun looking for shells with our toddlers. It was a lovely stay.
I was a little nervous about the forecast when I realized this cottage didn’t have air conditioning and it was going to be almost 90 every day of our stay, but the fans and canopy kept the interior quite comfortable! It is a beautiful space, and the hostess thought of everything to make our stay lovely. We brought supplies for breakfasts and dinners, and it worked out perfectly! As a prep chef, I was especially happy with the variety and sharpness of the knives provided.
We will be back, for sure!
Kay's place was great, very clean and had everything we needed to make the property our home base for a weekend of skiing, hiking, and exploring the small communities in the area!
Great 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath space with a full kitchen, fire pit, comfy living room, wifi and enough TV channels to catch every March madness game. Check-in with the door code and all communication was seamless. We would definitely stay here again.
