This fully renovated contemporary estate has it all to make it your place to escape all year round.

Sitting on 11 private acres abutting the Taconic State Park giving you access to over 6,000 acres from your own backyard. The 4,400 sqft house has an open floor plan ideal for entertainment with two sitting areas (each with its own fire place), a formal dining area which seats 10 people next to a large kitchen with Viking appliances and a granite countertop island.

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms on the main floor and an additional three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor. The 6th bedroom is furnished as an office but can accommodate temporary beds. The Master bedroom not only has the best views in the house but a spectacular en-suite Master bathroom with a stand-alone extra-large tub, separate shower room and bidet.

Enjoy the views of your own heated private pool and the mountains from its two large decks, one has a large built-in bar-b-que.

The house has two separate finished basements, each with its own washer/dryer set, one covered car-garage and a 3-car parking area.

Spectacular family vacation

The property and the house are spectacular and located in a beautiful part of NY which is close to Tangelwood. The pool was terrific for my grandchildren. It is a well stocked and spacious house for a family vacation.

I would like to give this home a 5 star rating but attention needs to be paid to the following: broken toilet seat in powder room, electric tea kettle encrusted with chemical deposits, top shelf of dishwasher broken and rusted areas on the edge of the swimming pool.

Hilltop Nature Oasis

A beautiful, private location with pool, expansive views and lots of space, indoors and out. The home was very clean and comfortable and very well stocked. Plenty to do in the area; great for hiking, birding, and cultural excursions. But also great to just hang out at the pool or on the outdoor decks and listen to the birds. We had such a great time!Any questions were immediately answered by Maria.

It’s trite to offer the superlatives that this place engenders however deserved they may be. Suffice to say there are not many VRBO’s of this caliber. There is very little that is not 5 star here. From the ample kitchen to the well appointed furnishings and luscious indoor and outdoor spaces, this is a primo rental. The host is best friend material on top.

A really stunning property on lovely grounds! We had a great long weekend enjoying the pool and good weather. Photos don't do the place justice, really high quality finishes throughout. House and in particular the kitchen is really well stocked for everything you need. Would definitely stay again!

We spent a fabulous 4 days at Maria’s beautiful house in Copake Falls. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished, well equipped both indoors and out. We were 3 couples enjoying spending time indoors in the lovely well furnished living room, den, kitchen and dining room. The master suite is especially luxurious . The outdoor decks have excellent furnishing with a lovely lounging area and excellent dining area where we enjoyed our meals al fresco. The house feels very private surrounded by lovely acreage and a lovely inviting pool. Maria and her husband were available at all times to answer any questions that we had about the house . Driving around the beautiful Taconic Hills area was lovely. Our stay was extraordinary!

Incredible Berkshires getaway!

Maria’s house was incredible! Immaculately clean, great views, and more than enough room for our group of 9 to hang out on a rainy weekend in the country! The house is < 30 from Great Barrington, which is also a huge plus. Maria was extremely communicative, kind, and accommodating. Would definitely visit again!

Great Family Vacation Spot

This house was perfect for our annual Thanksgiving getaway which consists of 10 of us (all family, 6 adults, 4 kids). Really spacious, well-designed and just comfortable. Easily accommodated us - the kitchen area was especially great for cooking all weekend and just hanging out. And the grounds and overall location on the top of a hill made it feel like a great getaway. Really nothing negative to say...perfect house.

A gorgeous home on a beautiful property with amazing views. The owners were great. Very responsive and everything was better than advertised. 8 minute drive to catamount for skiing. 8 minute drive to bash bush falls hiking trail (a must see when in the area). Would definitely stay here again.

King of the hill

This place has serenity and plenty of pizzaz. Exceptionally equipped, expertly designed and maintained,it has the feel of a luxurious resort.The location has views for miles and has both expansive lawn areas and lots and lots of forest. The heated pool kept the kids frolicking while the adults took in the view.. Cool touch the lawn has wild thyme in it which is fragrant when walked on. Heavenly.

Beautiful home on a large property. Well kept with spacious rooms, ample bathrooms, fire place. We spent the weekend at the home for a reunion with four young families. Large kitchen with open concept dining room and family room. Great outdoor space to grill, hike and run freely. Pool in summer time. Would definitely recommend for large party.

Large, Beautiful Home

My family of 9 (actually 3 related families all together) really enjoyed this incredible property. It was very big, beautiful, sparkling clean, and very well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The pool was a huge bonus. Maria and her husband made everything very easy and were extremely responsive both before and during our stay. This is the best of what VBRO and similar services have to offer. Can’t say enough good things to cover it! Will hopefully be able to return one day.

Fantastic mountaintop retreat

We had a great week here! Maria was very responsive before and during our stay. We arrived to a clean house where a thoughtful gift awaited us. The layout worked great for our group of nine…we gathered in the kitchen, around the dining room table, and in the sitting room; the second living room provided a perfect escape for those who wanted a quiet space to read or nap. The grill was clean and simple to use, the outdoor seating areas were welcoming, and the pool was refreshing with a beautiful view. The house was nicely appointed and well stocked with paper goods and other necessities (dish soap, bin liners, etc.). Plus a great area with a wonderful rail trail, hiking spots, and cute towns to explore. All around an enjoyable and relaxing week!

Beautiful home -- exceptionally well decorated, comfortable and airy spaces

Our time in this home was far too short -- the weekend in the fall woods of Copake flew by, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The master bedroom and bath are stunning, the open kitchen and dining room are made for entertaining, and the house easily and comfortably fit the 8 of us renting it (and could have easily fit a few more people!) We went for an early morning walk to the pond down the road and scared a couple of deer, and the view from the house made us feel like we were always in the middle of nature. This would be a wonderful spot for a reunion, family holiday, pretty much anything. We were there for a friend's wedding down the road and wished we had more time. We hope to return in the future -- overall a terrific weekend experience from start to finish!

A fabulous time was had by all!

Could not ask for a better Home Away experience! From booking to check in to check out, the home owner was very friendly and easy to work with. He met us at his spectacular home, gave us a brief tour and answered any and all questions we had. The home is spacious and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Every window has a wonderful view and the home is bright and airy. The house is perfectly situated with loads of nearby activities. Bash Bish Falls, Taconic State Park, Catamount, boating on Copake Lake, apple picking and Great Barrington for those looking for a quaint downtown experience. Lots to keep my group of 11 (older kids and adults) busy for two days though we also enjoyed hanging around the house. All in all, a winning weekend:)

Beautiful secluded home - Perfect for family gatherings

This home was a great place for family members from NY and MA to meet up and spend a nice long weekend together. The home was large, very clean and stocked very well! The open concept made it so easy for everyone to help out at dinner and not feel crowded. The dining area seats 10 easily. There are plenty of bathrooms for everyone to get ready in, without being on top of one another. There are plenty of bedrooms and even an office with a blow up mattress. The views from the house were great! The area is very quiet and secluded. The owners were fantastic and responded to all inquiries within a short period of time. Since they did not have anyone at the home prior to our arrival, they allowed us to arrive a few hours early and they were flexible with the departure time as well. We enjoyed our hike to Bash Bish Falls. We hiked in from the MA side which was much more challenging than hiking from the NY side. My family had a great time at this property and I would definitely recommend it for a large group gathering! My only recommendation would be to arrive during the day since the area at night is dark. We missed the left turn into the long driveway as we drove up the hill because our GPS told us we arrived! You just have to bear left at the fork!

Beautiful getaway !

One of the best houses we have ever stayed in . It was just as we expected and a lot more Very clean, fully stocked kitchen, large living room and family room for games and great modern yet classic feel all around the house. The house location is very private and yet easily accessible with beautiful grounds all around . Maria , thank you for being a great host , being flexible and accommodating. Beautiful house in a gorgeous setting. Great for groups

We had a great friends weekend at the house. It's a rare property that is even nicer than it looks online. Very secluded with great views, but only 20 mins from civilization in Great Barrington, MA. The owners are communicative and friendly. Very clean. Good seating and multiple hang out areas for groups including two decks. Sadly it was too cold for the pool.

A true getaway!!!!!

What a lovely experience. This home is very well taken care of and the owners show they care that you have a great stay. We needed a quite getaway from our 70 hour a week jobs and this was the place to find peace and beauty amidst this stunning setting. We were three adults and all had plenty of space, but a family could do just as well in the space. The only call out I would say is we needed some feather pillows, but if that is the worst of it, you can bet it was a pretty great time. Thank you for a lovely vacation

Beautiful house that offers privacy and a beautiful and peaceful setting. The grounds and house are much more beautiful than the photos. It was well equipped with kitchen supplies and paper goods. It’s very spacious and offers a great setup to have kids sleep in a separate area of the house from grown ups. Highly recommend!

We were two families (adults and 3 children each, ages 10, 14 and 15) that stayed in this home as the base for a ski trip to Catamount Mountain. This home is BEAUTIFUL, much nicer than in the pictures. The owners were extremely responsive and immediately addressed the 2 or 3 small issues that arose. We are from NYC and Long Island, and truly enjoyed our stay and were happy to spend time in this home. Book this home if it's available without hesitation!

Our family purchased this property shortly after visiting a close friend who lives in the area. It was one of the first properties we saw, and we kept on coming back to it. You will feel the same way!

Why they chose this property

The property has a Estate feeling and while being within a 5-minute drive to downtown Hillsdale, nearby farms and cultural attractions, it is one of the few properties in the area abutting the State Park with direct access to trails from its own backyard while sitting on the top of the hill with Northern views of the Berkshires and Western views of the Catskills. It is the perfect place to vacation all-year-round.
