*This is a river cabin, as such expect there to be mosquitos in warm weather and the occasional bug/spider.

*The cabin is also supplied by well water. Being in the river basin, our water has significant mineral and iron deposits. Thus, there can be some discoloration and occasional sulfur odor. We do not recommend drinking it as it may not be palatable to some.

About the host

Host profile image
Wally’s Duck Camp started in 2025 as an outpost for waterfowlers, fishermen, and outdoor people looking for adventure
along the Missouri River.

We first started coming to the Santee area in 2012 for the incredible duck hunting and walleye fishing. After looking for a long while we were able to buy a cabin in 2016 that was on the brink of caving in. We’ve restored that cabin and added this location over the years. We truly love this area. “The Hill” is a collection of like minded outdoor people. Everyone fishes and most everybody is a hunter of some sort.

We swap stories, tips, secret fishing holes and the occasional beer!

You are always welcome to join us and it’s not unusual that neighbors may just stop by to introduce themselves and hear how your hunt has been!

We hope you find your stay safe, secure, and enjoyable with enough memories to last until next year!

Have a great stay Chad & Erin
