Modern Gated Retreat w/Rooftop Views, Med Ctr & Downtown

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend hosting this guest again. Although I am not an overly strict host and my expectations reflect what most VRBO hosts consider a normal, respectful stay, the condition of the home and the rule violations were far outside acceptable standards. Upon returning, I found the front door left unlocked and the house in extremely poor condition. The floors were covered with dirt, spills, heavy foot traffic, and hair. A wall sculpture had been moved, and several washcloths were left unusable and had to be thrown away. Dirty socks were left on the kitchen island and bookshelves, which was especially concerning given that the home was provided to them very clean. On the first night, the rule was ignored where the guests parked their cars in the driveway for extended periods, blocking my neighbors’ garage doors, even though two garage spaces were provided and free street parking. My neighbors—who have never had issues with any of my previous guests—reported noise, late‑night activity, and what appeared to be an event with at least 30 people entering and exiting the home, including activity at 3 a.m., captured on their external camera. The home required additional cleaning and sanitization beyond a normal turnover, and the situation caused significant stress and nearly led to an early cancellation. While nothing was broken, the overall treatment of the property was unacceptable. I would not host this group again.
