UFO - Unique Forest Outpost with Hot Tub

Enjoy the unique vibes of the Retro Boho UFO! Like E.T. longs for home, you’ll long to stay in this Unique Forest Outpost (aka UFO) for a great couples get away, après ski/golf or small family vaca. Stay where the house itself is a destination!

Only 800 sq feet, but this octagon-shaped house with wrap-around deck and floor to ceiling windows for an almost 360° view, is anything but small.

A spiral staircase leads to a small walkout "basement" with reading nook and desk/work area (if you must) and access to laundry, as needed.

As guests of the Galena Territory, you have access to all of the Owner's amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, world-class golf courses, Lake Galena for boating and fishing, and horseback riding. Historic downtown Galena is just 10 minutes away.

We LOVE this place, but it may not be suitable for everyone. Please note:
- We’re in the woods. Expect bugs outside and occasionally inside, despite our best efforts in pest control.
- We love babies and dogs, but take caution with young children or pets due to safety of the spiral staircase.
- There is a gravel sloped walk from the parking area.
- No full sized oven in the kitchenette - however the microwave is also a convection oven and a pizza pizzazz is available for small needs.

We so enjoyed this adorable little UFO! The hot tub was such a treat! We loved watching the beautiful assortment of birds at the feeders and the trees all around us made it feel like we were in a tree house deep in the woods. The beds were comfy and the kitchenette was just perfect for our needs. Also a short ride to either downtown Galena or Eagle Ridge resort. Great spot!!

Perfect home away from home for a few days. Was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities and extras. Everything was well marked and there was easy to understand directions for everything (owners club passes, thermostat, hot tub etc). Wish we stayed longer, we didn't have enough time to use the sitting area on the upper deck with the fire feature or the outdoor fire pit/campfire area, but they were enticing and will definitely use next time. Helpful information for the area was handy and readily available. Very convenient location, will definitely try to stay with these owners again, either at this property or one of the others.
