Cell service is questionable. It can be spotty with limited to no coverage in this area. We have ATT and it works and we can stream tv from our phone, but each phone and service is different.
There is no wifi.
The smart TV has an antenna, sometimes you get channels, sometimes you don't. It's weird. There is a DVD player.

Other things to note
The Red River Gorge is in the mountains. The roads are steep and curvy. A 4-wheel drive is only necessary when it snows. It's good to arrive in the daylight; it's really dark on the mountain at night.

I am a former Children's Librarian, James is a retired History Teacher. We take care of my Mom and special needs adult child in Kentucky. When we are not doing that, we love to garden, craft, build, restore historic automobiles, collect antiques and other old junk. It is fun to help nice people of all kinds enjoy nature.

What makes this property unique

Homespun Hideaway started as a tiny house that James and I were building as our home. It took a while to build, and was a work-from-home office for a year or two with a wood-burning stove. We couldn't quite figure out where to put it since I worked in Richmond and the farm was too difficult of a commute. We tried that a couple of times. It was horrible, truly horrible. People don't believe you are late to work because of a dead horse in the road. Weird! So, we came up with the brilliant plan to quit my job, move the tiny house to the farm, and try to survive.

We had exactly 2 months' worth of money to finish the tiny house, move it, get it set up, and start earning money. No pressure there. We reclaimed the wood wall and metal from an old building we tore down. It was originally furnished with whatever furniture and household items we had. I split up our set of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. We hand-painted the hubcaps from one of James' car projects. I sewed and tie-dyed the duvet covers because I am obsessed with tie-dying things. It was a pretty dicey time!

We lived in the blue tiny house next door, and poof! We were short-term rental people. Very happy things worked out the way they did, and we were able to eat, have electricity, afford a car, etc. Several years later, tragedy struck. A tree fell on Homespun Hideaway. If it were a car, you would say it was totalled. Thank goodness for insurance. We had to decide quickly- rebuild or take the insurance money and go on without it? Obviously, we went with rebuilding it. Who knows, maybe we will live in Homespun Hideaway someday?!?! You never know what might happen in life.
