The house was perfect for us- wonderful location, great layout, comfortable, clean. They had everything we needed that I had forgotten to pack- kitchen spices, baby shampoo, baby gate, etc. Hosts were welcoming and helpful without being overbearing. We can't wait to stay here again!
Great house, nice and cozy! The house is spacious, living area has plenty of seating. Kitchen is well stocked with whatever is needed for cooking. Lots of outdoor space for use as well during seasonal weather. Definitely recommend to rent.
The location was perfect for what we needed. We made great family memories.

For some reason we never received access info which included the combination to get into the property. We did receive an email from Vrbo, and it included the address, but nothing to let us know how to get inside. The owner was able to provide that info. The bedrooms upstairs felt very small, and there were no closets in either bedroom upstairs. The water pressure was very low, taking a shower was interesting. We found dead bugs in every single room of the house. Most of the windows upstairs didn't latch properly, and the downstairs windows in the bedroom were cracked before we got there. I did appreciate the stocked kitchen. The location was good.
The location was perfect for our stay. Only 10 minutes from Boone and 20 minute easy drives to App Ski Mtn and Hawks Nest for tubing. The house had everything we needed and is extremely comfortable. It was very cozy during the snowfall.
Super nice home in a great location. Thanks for sharing it. We observed that the fan in the middle upstairs bathroom works intermittently. Our only other suggestion would be anti slip mats placed under the carpet runners to keep themfrom sliding.
This home was very comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. It is a quiet community with plenty of nature.
Great location for easy travel to App State and other surrounding attractions.
Owners are super nice and had great communication. Would stay here again!

Close to APP State
Good location to APP State. Beds for all 5 of us. 4 bathrooms was nice. Cleanliness was as issue for us, dusty and lots of dog hair.
We had a wonderful time staying at Billy's home near Boone, NC and felt right at home as soon as we arrived. We stayed for a quick ski weekend with our family and found it to be a perfectly central location to access all of the places that we love. It was only 20 minutes to Sugar Mountain which allowed us to easily take our kids back and forth. They loved the flat yard to play and Billy made sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. We will definitely come back in the future!
My daughter, 46, has stage 4 breast cancer and our family wanted to visit the mountains and make some memories. It was my husband & I, my daughter & grandson, my son, his wife and 2 grand daughters! We visited Tweetsie Christmas Train, several first time restaurants and many shops. . We had a blast! thank you!

So sorry to hear that. We will look into the kitchen organization. Glad the rest of your trip was good!
The house was ok, not the cleanest. Dish towels hanging on stove very visibly dirty like used and not washed as well as dish mat with food remnants on it. Garbage can dirty inside and when we moved it from the wall very dirty behind it. Just needs a good cleaning in my opinion.

I'm disappointed to read that our cleaning crew left some things in a less than acceptable condition. We will strive to do better. Especially in the kitchen area.
Thank you for your remarks and we hope that the rest of the stay was pleasant.

Not bad
The house was clean but it felt like we had interrupted the owner's stay. There was a lot of food in the freezer and the fridge had several items too. There were several personal care items in the shower too.
There was a bridge being rebuilt and the detour that we had to use was challenging (many blind curves and very narrow). I wish the owners would have warned us of this as we arrived after sunset.
The location is nice. The area is quiet and not real far from downtown Boone and the university.
Bottom line would consider again when the road work is complete and the house more neutral.

It is our policy to provide general condiments to the guests so they don't have to purchase these items if needed. Other foods left are to be removed by the cleaning service. We will make certain that is clear with them.
We also attempt to provide bottled shampoos and soaps. Again personal items are too be removed.
The bridge work is new to us also and we should have updated that in our packet. Great suggestion and hopefully it will be finished in short order.
Thank you for your comments.
We loved this home and were very comfortable during our stay. Appreciate all the supplies and well kept home. Very convenient whatever you do in this area of the mountains.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vilas. The house comfortably suited the two of us along with family and friends that visited. We especially liked the well stocked the kitchen. We cooked many meals and enjoyed in the spacious dining area and outside deck.
We loved that the house was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit.
Mr. Holcombe came on weekends to tend to the very spacious yard. The surrounding deck with a gas fire pit was great for entertaining our friends and making s’mores.
Garage is messy and dirty although laundry space worked well for us. Housekeeping did not do a good job either but we cleaned up and made do. All in all we were very comfortable and would highly recommend this rental.
Twin Falls cabin was just what we were looking for. It was the most well appointed VBRO house that we have ever stayed in. There were a lot of staples that we didn’t have to go out and buy. The side yard was great for playing fetch with our dog, Kirby and playing croquet. My son and his family visited for one of the weekends we were there and there was still plenty of room for all. Thank you to William and Amy for for providing such a great place for us to stay after exploring the beautiful North Carolina mountain area.

Needs attention!
We were in the area to look at wedding venues. The owners a super nice. Let us check in early & on Sunday, we left our teardrop in the drive until the appointments were done. The location is convenient & the house could be wonderful. We washed all blankets as dog hair was all over them. Upstairs is hot as there is a window unit in one room but no air in the bathroom or the 3rd bedroom. Lots of exterior rot. Yard could be great. Too much personal stuff everywhere & massive mess in garage. So much potential.
We had a lovely weekend visiting family at this well-appointed “cabin” (3 bedroom and 2 full/2 half-bath home). Lovely setting and so nice to have a gas grill, gas fire pit, and fireplace!! Great location and terrific use of space!
