About this property

Dromore - Spacious, central apartment set in a gorgeous garden

Our spacious two-storied apartment is situated in a beautiful garden behind our home. It is attached to our home by decking but is completely self-contained with it's own entrance. There is free off-street parking and private garden. Guests have complete privacy and can come and go as they please.

Free wifi is provided and Chromecast is set up on the TV.

The apartment has three bedrooms accommodating six - two queen size beds (one upstairs, one downstairs) and two single beds (both upstairs). The upstairs queen-bedroom can only be accessed by walking through the single-bed bedroom but a thick privacy screen can be drawn across for those using the single beds.

The apartment offers a kitchen with everything you could need to cook for yourselves, and a spacious sitting area and sunny light-filled dining area.

The bathroom and laundry are separate ends of a single utility room and share a common sink. The laundry has a family sized washing machine and clothes dryer with laundry powder etc provided.

Tea and coffee, biscuits, milk, fruit and pure rain-water is provided free of charge.

There are two toilets - one upstairs, one downstairs.

We have hydronic heating in all rooms and a choice of air-conditioning or pedestal fans for cooling.

It is a short stroll to Port Fairy's main attractions - shops, restaurants, galleries, and the beautiful Moyne River, the wharf and East Beach.

Guests have both a beautiful secluded garden and a private decking to enjoy - quiet places to enjoy a picnic or read a book, have a coffee or a wine.

Port Fairy is a small rural town. The apartment is close to other houses and a small, free-range poultry run. Guests will be able to hear the chickens, neighbouring dogs and other rural noises. Children are welcome to help us feed the chickens and to collect the eggs.

We have a gentle old Labrador dog called Coco and a friendly visiting cat called Mittens. You might see either during your stay so please let us know if you’d rather they were kept away.

Beautiful and spacious

We stayed the night with 3 kids - 9, 5, and 3, and were impressed by how impeccable the place was. Beautifully styled and very clean. The kids loved the chickens and visiting cat, I loved the washer and dryer that gave me the chance to do some laundry. Communication from Dianne was excellent.

Perfect spot for a short stay in Port Fairy

The apartment was very clean, warm, and cosy. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and coffee. There is also a friendly cat who is keen for pats. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and check-in was effortless. I highly recommend this property.

Fabulous!

This is a completely separate house at the back of the main residence but kept very private via some amazing gardens that anyone visiting with some interest in gardening will just love. The house itself is also beautifully presented.

Great stay in a beautiful town

This property delivered everything it promised. Great location, beautifully appointed, quiet and homey. Dianne welcomed and farewelled us, but left us alone in between. The property feels very private even though it is in the backyard of the main house. The only downside was only staying in Port Fairy for one night. It is such a quaint town and worth exploring.

Property was very clean and well renovated. Downside was beds too old and not comfortable and there is only 1 toilet which unfirtunately is next to the main bed literally so not much fun for the person sleeping in that room. Also we had to figure how to turn the heating on from outside and only stumbled across the power box by accident. The house should have been warmed prior to us arriving.

Home away from home

My daughter and I could not believe our eyes. Walking into Dromore, was the highlight of our trip. What a perfect little apartment. In particular all the little extras, like the chocolates in the cookie jar, the coffee machine and the spring water in the kitchen. A huge thankyou to the host. She really gets it and is very generous. So many more things i could mention. The rooms were perfectly decorated and we loved the finishing touches and the beds were super cosy!We loved the garden, and the chooks and the cute fluffy cat that came to say hello.
