Almost perfectThe condo was clean and spacious. The kitchen was truly set up well for cooking. There was everything you could need. The living area was very comfortable. The sunsets from the balcony were stunning. It was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on the harbor. There were plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. It was almost perfect! In fact it is a marvelous condo. We had only one complaint. The proximity to the Coast Guard and the water treatment plant was annoying. The Coast Guard was tolerable and would not be a deterrent. They were at times noisy (testing loudspeakers, boats, playing revelry), sometimes early in the morning. Never before 7;30 am. So not ideal for those wishing to sleep in. And there is a blinking light that shone in through the curtains in the primary bedroom. But certainly not anything that would ruin a vacation. But the water treatment plant was very annoying. Most of the time you would not notice it but sometimes the droning and occasional high-pitched noise, which seemed somehow loudest in the primary bedroom, was at times disruptive to sleep. I ended up sleeping with the TV on to mask the sound. There was only one occasion we could smell the sewage. I realize there is nothing the host could do about these things. But I feel the need to be honest about our experience. Despite this, I would still recommend staying here. We did enjoy our time there.

I am sorry to hear about all the sound issues you had, I do know that the complex is in the process of upgrading the sewer and water treatment plant. That will hopefully take care of the smell and that noise, however the Coast Guard station there is no control over.

Rachel’s Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had another great week at Rachel’s Retreat. Our 11th year staying there! Liked some of the enhancements with Harbor Rental, such as linen service. Wish there were more towels per person. Miss the towel closet! New rug needs a little better securing (trip hazard). Otherwise everything was wonderful! Harbor Rental was quick to remedy an appliance issue and we were very appreciative! Great job Harbor Rental Team! Thank you for everything!!
