About this property
Spacious Monomoy Gem
63 Monomoy Road is a stunningly renovated 4 bedroom 2.5 bath upside-down home nestled down a private driveway in the prestigious Monomoy section of Nantucket. This custom designed home boasts sweeping views of the moors and picturesque island sunsets over Nantucket harbor. Set back off the road, this peaceful home also features an incredibly large yard providing ample privacy. Tranquil Monomoy beach is only a couple of hundred yards away to swim, sail, kayak or just relax overlooking the picturesque harbor, town, Brant Point and Coatue.
*Be advised, window treatments are not pictured but are included in every room*
First Floor Description
Enter through the front door to an open foyer that leads to three guest bedrooms, featuring two twins, a queen bed, and king bed, all sharing a full, hall bathroom. Just off the hallway is a washer and dryer and linen closet.
Please note: A signed rental agreement is required to finalize your reservation. Even if your booking request is accepted through VRBO, it is not fully confirmed until the rental agreement has been reviewed and signed. Instructions to complete the agreement will be provided immediately after booking
Monomoy and Shimmo are located next to each other on Nantucket Harbor across from the downtown waterfront. These areas are known for their grand homes, many with views of the Harbor. Accessible from Milestone and Polpis Roads, this strictly residential area is quiet and relaxing, yet only a short drive to Town and Mid-Island conveniences.
Beach
Monomoy Beach is popular for walking, picnicking, and launching kayaks or paddle boards. A walk to the left leads to a salt marsh and creeks, which is a great place for spotting birds and aquatic wildlife. The most common birds seen in this area are ducks, geese, cormorants, oyster catchers, blue herons, egrets, and of course gulls. A paddle through the winding creeks will also reveal small fish and lots of crabs. Make sure to pay attention to the ebbing tide as you could strand your craft! A walk to the right will take you past two piers and up to Pimney’s Point, where another salt marsh ever changes with the tide. In the winter, these waters are popular with scallopers and clam diggers.
