About this property
The Vault · Pool, Hot Tub, Mountain Views
Summary:
Slide open the glass at The Vault and the pool runs right up to the dining room, its in-pool loungers set against the mountains of Joshua Tree's open desert. Spend the afternoon half in the water, climb to the hot tub at dusk, then finish at the fire pit on the covered patio. Inside, poured concrete, oak cabinetry and a skylight keep the new-construction house quiet and full of light. Some houses whisper. This one simply holds its ground.
The Space:
The Vault is a new-construction modern home with mountain views and high-end finishes throughout. Its concrete construction gives the house a grounded, quiet feel, while a skylight and walls of glass pull the desert light inside. Warm oak cabinetry and slatted oak, a black waterfall island, a curved sofa and bold desert art soften the clean lines. The open layout runs from the kitchen through the dining room, where sliding doors open with a clear view to the pool. A king primary tucked away for privacy, a second king bedroom and a bunk room for kids share two bathrooms with walk-in showers, plus a half bath off the dining room, which suits couples, families or small groups who want an easy indoor-outdoor stay.

-Outdoor Amenities-
Step through the dining room sliders and the pool is right there, set against the mountains, with loungers right in the shallows for a lazy afternoon half in the water. A few steps up from the pool deck, the above-ground hot tub is kept heated for soaking at any hour, with the mountains beyond. Under the covered patio, the fire pit lounge and BBQ grill make it easy to cook outside and settle in as the sun goes down. Evenings bring big desert skies and, on clear nights, plenty of stars.
-Living Area-
Sink into the curved sofa or spin a swivel chair toward the sunset; the living room, dining room and kitchen share one bright space beneath the skylight, with bold desert art on the walls. The TV in the living room can be seen from both the dining room and the kitchen, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation. Down the skylit hallway, ceramic wall pieces and a cactus greet you on the way to bed.
-Kitchen and Dining-
Pull up a stool at the black waterfall island and watch the mountains through the windows while the coffee brews. Oak cabinetry and slatted oak details warm up the fully equipped kitchen, which has what you need for everything from quick breakfasts to full dinners and opens directly to the dining area. Set the table with woven placemats; the dining room looks straight through the sliders to the pool, so meals come with a view. For dinner outside, fire up the BBQ grill and eat by the pool as the evening cools.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
The primary bedroom is on the far right side of the home, off the dining area and tucked away for privacy. It has a king bed facing the mountains, a built-in oak headboard with sconces, a writing desk and sliders onto the patio, so the morning starts with the view. The bunk room has a low bunk bed, playful wall shapes and sliders to the pool, a natural fit for kids. The second king bedroom sits to the far left of the home, to the left of the front door, beneath a clerestory window.
The two bedroom bathrooms have walk-in showers, one with an oak vanity and one lined in ribbed green glass tile, and the bunk room and the second king bedroom share one of them. A half bath off the dining room makes it easy to rinse off after the pool or wash up before dinner. High-end towels, shampoo and conditioner are provided.
-Surrounding Area-
Downtown Joshua Tree is close by for cafés, galleries and shops, and Joshua Tree National Park's West Entrance is an easy drive for hiking, climbing and scenic drives among the Joshua trees and boulder fields. Add an evening of live music in Pioneertown or a sound bath at the Integratron. Days are bright and dry, and nights are dark enough for serious stargazing.

awesome place as a base to explore Joshua Tree NP. Great to come back to after a day in the desert. House is very new, modern architecture, cool inside even on very hot days (and with a two zone Nest to control temperature if you want to use the AC). Kitchen great for cooking for a group. New grill, too.
