Welcome to your private piece of paradise. As our home is available only a few weeks in high season,( Saturday to Saturday check in), it is better appointed than any full time rental on the market. We are located only 6 houses (350 steps) from the best beach on Hilton Head Island and our home is lovingly furnished with our favorite finds from around the world. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL BEACH HOUSE! Spacious (2300 sq ft), plus 2 screened porches, and additional decks, our smoke free home in Forest Beach features a large,open living space and a great separation of sleeping areas.

NEW updates: A NEWER home (2017), with state of the art flooring; new kitchen and baths; 55 inch smart TV, Several new decks and side screened lanai. New for 2023 a second screened porch overlooking pool! Luxury bedding and linens.New HVAC and new GPS in-duct air purifier.

Upon awakening to the sound of tropical birds, we invite you to enjoy your morning tea or coffee on one of our outside spaces. Relax in our FULL SIZE swimming pool! Our uncrowded beach also awaits and we have what you need; as we provide plenty of beach chairs, an umbrella, beach buggy and cooler for your use. An enclosed outdoor shower is located by the pool. Perhaps you prefer a stroll or bike ride the few short blocks on safe, shaded paths to Coligny Plaza; the center of activity on the island. There you will find over 70 convenient shops, restaurants and activities. Our grandkids love their daily walk up there. Had enough? Then return to the quiet, private neighborhood. There is even a free beach golf cart trolley that you can call or wave down to help get tired families back home. It truly is the best of both worlds at Serenity by the Sea where location, and convenience dovetail into serene space. We are so well located that some of our guests have said that they spent their entire week using bicycles instead of their car.
BIKE DELIVERY and PICK UP IS EASILY ARRANGED AND AFFORDABLE. We reccommend Hilton Head Bicycle Company on 112 Arrow Rd for quality bikes. Simply call them to reserve. Your bikes will be waiting for you at the house upon check in.

Your home features a beautiful eat-in kitchen, dining room and 3 outside eating areas as well. Spacious bedrooms feature a master en suite (King bed), second bedroom (2 Queen), and third bedroom (1 Queen ). All the amenities you want are here: smart TV in living and master bedroom ; flat screen TV in 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Wireless high speed secure internet for laptops, and cable service.

Home away from home

The owner communicated with us and made everything very easy. The layout was excellent since the sleeping rooms are separate from the living areas. The lanai’s were beautiful and gave us plenty of outdoor space. Going to a home with a pool is always a bit nerve-racking with small children but the upper deck was gated making it more difficult for the children to escape. While not directly on the beach, it was a short walk and the owners provided plenty of chairs and most importantly, boogie boards. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Great place

This property and home was great, so cozy and nice. It was located in a quiet and clean neighborhood. It is close to the beach, just a short walk. I suggest bringing or renting bicycles, it is the perfect way to get around this area of the island. The home was perfect for our family of 7, we had plenty of space. The pool was wonderful, clean and well maintained. The home itself is very well equipped with all the amenities. The property owner replies quickly and is very accommodating. The screened in porch on the side was perfect for evening games.

HHI gem!

What a wonderful property! Our first trip to HHI and this house was a BIG reason the trip was so great. Fully stocked with anything you could need/want. Pool is fantastic. Beach is so close and the house has a wagon to help carry all the gear down. Such a great stretch of beach that isn't crowded. The owners, Anne and Jim, are lovely and very helpful in making sure everything is taken care of for you to have a wonderful trip. Would 100% love to stay at this house again!

Wonderful Getaway

We have had a wonderful week at your home. This is truly a special retreat on the island, and we have made so many memories. Excellent vacation property

This house was a perfect choice for our HHI vacation. The house was well equipped, clean and perfect location-close to the beach and shops. It was one of the best homes we have rented on HHI. We would definitely stay here again. Also the owner was very responsive and waned to ensure we had a good vacation.

Wonderfully Relaxing

We loved our stay at Serenity By The Sea. The house was so spacious and we loved the two lanais and the pool!!! So close to the beach. The owners were super helpful and attentive.

The house couldn’t have been nicer and the owners were incredibly accommodating. Everything was thought of! It’s very close to the beach and the kids all loved the pool. We have stayed at several other VRBO’s and this was far and away the best!

Perfect house and perfect location!

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed here very comfortably. It was great that the living space was separated from the bedrooms which allowed for kids to sleep. The house is just a few steps from the beautiful beach! The downtown area is about a 15 min walk from the house, but there are sidewalks the whole way. I would stay here again in the future!

Gorgeous House, Great Host!

This home was perfect for our groups vacation! Perfect proximity to both the beach and Coligny! The first thing we noticed was how welcoming our host was and how homey it was there. Gorgeous decor, stocked well with all necessary supplies (laundry, toiletries, kitchen) and plenty of space both inside and out. During our rainy days we spent plenty of time in the two screened in porches. We also spent plenty more time in the gorgeous pool on our sunny days! We were so happy to stay here, thank you for sharing your home with us!

Family Vacation

The house was perfect and absolutely beautiful. So spacious where we did not feel on top of each other with our group of 8. The pool was a huge hit and the beach was just a short walk away. Perfect location overall and I would be thrilled to stay here again in the future.

Great Location for a beach getaway

This is a great place for a beach getaway. The house is well equipped with everything needed and a few unexpected luxuries. The house has plenty of room to spread out, but enough privacy that you can still find a quiet corner to read. The beach is a short walk away. There is a nice screened porch and private pool for relaxing after the beach. Coligny is close, and you can use the bike paths to access all the best parts of Hilton Head. Overall, it is a great location, great house, great host.

Great home

Perfect location and quiet. Short walk to private beach which was not crowded. Walking distance to coligny . Everything provided with this rental including kitchen and beach necessities. Living area is very spacious and open which the pictures do not show. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again

Great location and great house

The house is well maintained and close to the beach and shops. The owners leave extra spices, cooking spray, etc. for guests to use which is a nice touch and unexpected. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, tupperware, pans, etc. The screened in porch adds another area when families need to space out. Loved having a quiet coffee/breakfast out there every morning. Very pleased with this rental and owners go above and beyond.

More than we expected!!

We have been to Hilton Head multiple times. This was our first time staying at this house. It was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. This is a very awesome house and we can’t wait to stay again.

Great property!

We loved our stay at this house and it is a perfect house for families. The photos really didn’t show how great it was and the owners were very easy to work with. Couple things we would highlight: - We appreciated the close access to the beach and that it wasn’t overly crowded with a very short walk. - This house has about ever amenity you could possibly need and makes for easy packing. We appreciated all the beach chairs/umbrella, gas grill, cooler/Ice maker, and wagon. - The pool was great and very clean when we arrived. It was a perfect size and much bigger than we expected. The deck was a perfect spot to sit and watch the kids swim and a safe place for young children with a locked gate. We hope to be back soon!

Serenity by the Beach!

Beautiful, spacious and functional home close and easy walk to the beach, and close to Coligny shops. Great pool with sun and shade. Owner and property manager are very nice and responsive. Definitely recommended!

Everything was perfect for our stay!

The location to the beach was a short walk away! The house was beautiful and was fully equipped with everything you would need! I loved that we didn’t have to bring anything with us for the beach because they had several chairs, umbrellas and wagons to carry everything to the beach! The pool was fabulous as well as the flowers and decor! I would totally stay here again if we go to Hilton Head next year!

Excellent Beach Vacation Home

We had a wonderful stay. One of the things my husband and I kept repeating to each other over the week was, "They (the owners) thought of everything." We had everything we needed to have a relaxing family vacation.

Great House

This was the best beach house we have ever rented. It was very spacious with a lot of comfortable seating options—two great couches, two wonderful recliners and several other seating choices. The beds were awesome—super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed plus more. The beach chairs that were provided were top quality and the wagon and tote to take everything to the beach was such an added bonus. The pool proved to be very popular. Overall you cannot find a better house than this one. The owners and Angie could not be any nicer. Book this one!!

Beautiful house; great owners

This is our second summer renting this awesome property and we're prepared to do it again. Day starts with a short, easy walk to the beach followed by an afternoon in the pool. Owner provides all the beach equipment we need so our packing job is easier. Easy walk for ice cream & shops in the evening. We love your adorable home-it has everything to make your vacation enjoyable. Our children are older now and love the extra space that your home provides. We enjoy the quietness this area offers. Book It!!!!

In response to Susan L 1. Susan should learn how to use a camera. I don’t recall anywhere in the description the owner claiming light capacities. 2. The standard practice BEFORE you book a place is to check out the uploaded photos. If Susan actually did that, there wouldn’t be a complaint. 3. Nowhere in the description does the owner make claims about a bathtub in the master bedroom. 4. The master bathroom is off the bedroom. There is another bathroom and shower across the hall. Susan again can’t get her story straight. And there IS a tub in the other bathroom. 5. The beds are real beds of excellent quality. 6. One recliner had a quilt. Susan makes up problems that don’t exist. 7. As far as hanging long summer dresses, inside the master bedroom there are hangers provided. Perhaps Susan should put the bottle down and look around a bit. My wife hung her three dresses up. 8. If Susan looked at the photos she would have known what the furniture looked like. 9. The family room and adjoining living room is long and spacious. Can’t imagine why she would describe it as small. 10. The screened in porch overlooks the neighbors’ yards and path to the beach. NO claims are made that it overlooks the pool area. Once again, Susan complains about something that was not stated by the owner. 11. As for construction, the owner has ZERO control when projects for other people’s homes start or finish. Yes, across the street the house was being remodeled but it had zero impact on us. Do you see a pattern with Susan? She’s a liar. It’s entirely pathetic yet predictable with people like Susan who don’t look at what they’re renting before they purchase then try to destroy somebody’s hard earned reputation by fabricating lie after lie. But of course pathological liars don’t ever see it that way. Clearly Susan has her own issues. This is a beautiful house and is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is new and well stocked. The screened in porch was a great feature to relax or have breakfast. The pool is large, clean and well lit. There is a large wooden deck overlooking the pool. The walk to the beach is less than two minutes. The rooms are large and roomy. The master shower is huge. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back next year! Why they chose this property

We have been coming to the island for over 40 years and North Forest Beach has retained most of its beach house character...we love the private, uncrowded beach and houses instead of condos here.
We are in all the hustle and bustle of Coligny in less than 8 minute stroll so we are the perfect blend of peace and quiet and convenience.
