About this property

Purgatory Base Condo | Bike Park + Colorado Trail Access

First Chair & Fireside by Boutique Mountain Stays sits just across from Purgatory Resort’s main lodge, designed for days that start early, end cozy, and do it all again tomorrow. Mornings begin with crisp mountain air and an easy walk to the lift. Afternoons are spent carving turns or exploring the mountain, and evenings wind down with boots off, a fire going, and the lights of the base area glowing below.

Set within the East Rim Complex, the condo offers easy walking access to the base area, village dining, and the Purgatory Express high-speed lift, only a 2–3 minute walk away. You’re close to the energy of the skier plaza during the day, while still enjoying the quiet and privacy of a mountainside retreat once you’re inside.
Days here tend to follow an easy rhythm. Mornings start with a short walk to the lift and the excitement of heading out early. The mountain fills the day, whether you’re skiing, exploring, or simply enjoying time at the base area. When you return, the space makes it easy to slow down, warm up, and settle in for the evening.

Inside, the condo feels cozy and comfortable, with sweeping views of the San Juan Mountains and thoughtful touches throughout. Recently furnished with retro ski paraphernalia, the space has character without feeling cluttered, and it’s designed to be lived in after full days outside.

The kitchen supports the rhythm of the day — coffee before heading out, simple meals in between, and warm drinks at night. With full cookware and bakeware, a kettle, toaster, crockpot, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, Brita pitcher, spice rack, and coffee, cocoa, and tea on hand, it’s easy to fuel up in the morning and slow down in the evening.

For longer stays or busy ski days, a washer and dryer with laundry soap are provided. Both bathrooms are fully stocked with hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making it easy to travel light and focus on enjoying your time in the mountains.
The layout includes a full bathroom on each floor and features a wood-burning fireplace, a charming retro spiral staircase, a gas grill on the deck, two smart TVs, and one basic TV with a selection of nostalgic VHS and DVD titles. Wi-Fi is available for staying connected, though there is no cable or landline. For unplugged evenings, board games are available for a cozy night in.

Two parking passes are included, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot during the busy season.

Family-owned and professionally managed, First Chair & Fireside is carefully cleaned and maintained to ensure a smooth, comfortable stay. Whether you’re here for ski days, time in the village, or a simple mountain getaway, this condo offers an easy, welcoming home base for adventure and rest.

Before booking, please note: guests are required to sign a rental agreement and provide a valid credit card for a $300 security hold. The hold is placed prior to check-in and released after checkout if no damage is reported.
