Charming 3 bedroom village house in the Drome Provençal for relaxing holidays

Located in the center of Venterol, a typical Provençal village, this 3 bedroom house is the ideal base to explore the Provence and its charming landscapes and villages.

Situated at the foot of a verdant hill-range 5 km outside the town of Nyons, Venterol is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Its bakery and 2 cafes/restaurants provide for the immediate necessities while nearby Nyons and Valreas cater to all your shopping and leisure needs (restaurants, shops, supermarkets, regional markets, public swimming pools, historical sites etc.). Historical towns such as Vaison-la-Romaine, Grignan and Avignon are all within 25-60 minutes by car. For cycling enthusiasts, Mont Ventoux is around 25 km. from Venterol. The surrounding area also has many marked hiking trails and several rivers suitable for bathing. At the end of the day you can relax on the terrace with a glass of wine bought from one of the many vineyards in the area, e.g. in Vinsobres, Cairanne, Gigondas, Vacqueras or Chateauneuf-du-Pape. A day trip to the Mediterranean is eminently possible given that places such as Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-mer and Aigues-Mortes are 160-180 km away.

The house itself is an old village house that sleeps 6-8 people. The ground floor consists of a living/dining room and open kitchen. Also a bathroom and washing machine are present at this level. A 13th century stone staircase leads to the 1st floor which has two bedrooms - one with a sleeping couch for two, the other with two (adjacent) single beds - a landing and a corridor leading to the outdoor terrace. The 3rd floor attic, with its own bathroom, sleeps a maximum of 4 on a sleeping couch for two and two single beds and looks immediately on the central Place du Chateau.
The house is situated next to the church whose bell tolls 24 hours. Personally we are not bothered by it but some people might find it disturbing.

Mooi huis in leuk dorpje

Het huis is mooi, groot en biedt veel slaapplaatsen. Fijne keuken. Het was echter niet helemaal schoon (stof in een slaapkamer, haren in een badkamer). Aan de aldoor luidende kerkklokken wen je snel. Goede bakker en twee restaurantjes in het dorp. De stad Nyon op korte afstand. Samengevat: prima vakantieplek.

Le charme de la vie en village

La maison ancienne est charmante et très bien équipée, il y fait assez frais quand le soleil cogne dehors. Les différents étages nous ont permis d'y rester avec deux familles, des petits et des adolescents sans se déranger. Quand aux cloches qui sonnent les heures, si surprenantes qu'elles soient à l'arrivée, maintenant elles nous manquent. En bref, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour, merci à la propriétaire !

Nous avons apprécié la maison et ses environs ..maison de village très agréable en période de canicule pour sa fraîcheur. Facilité d'accès et de contact avec la propriétaire. Maison pratique avec une grande cuisine très bien équipée. La maison est au coeur d'un joli village typique et au pied d'un Campanile où les cloches sonnent régulièrement. Dans le village, il ya 2 restaurants et une boulangerie .il est situé à 5 kms de nyons (bourg plus important )la région est magnifique . Nous avons passé un excellent séjour

Au coeur d'un très beau village

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour au coeur de ce petit village de Venterol. Le calme y est exceptionnel : presque pas de circulation, seule la cloche de l'église mitoyenne rythme les journées et les nuits. Nous avons eu l'agréable surprise d'arriver en plein festival : des artisans et artistes locaux exposaient et ouvraient leurs maisons. En pleine canicule, nous avons apprécié la fraîcheur de la maison ; nous avons eu du mal à trouver des coins de rivières où nager mais avons fini par trouver le plan d'eau du Pas des ondes, un peu plus loin, très agréable en fin de journée. Cuisine bien équipée, literie impeccable, rien à redire! Nyons, très animée (concerts, marché, musées), est accessible à vélo ; bar et boulangerie sympathiques à Venterol même. Nous reviendrons volontiers. Merci pour cette semaine de vacances en famille!

Uriges altes Haus in kleinem Dorf

Wir haben 2 Wochen mit 6 Personen in Venterol (sehr kleines Dorf) verbracht und uns nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten recht wohl gefühlt. Sehr netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, die nicht vor Ort lebt. Anfangs waren wir ziemlich genervt von den Kirchenglocken, die alle halbe Stunde, auch nachts, schlagen, denn der Kirchturm ist direkt neben dem Haus. Aber nach ein paar Tagen hatten wir uns einigermaßen daran gewöhnt. Insgesamt war es aber ein angenehmer Aufenthalt . Das Haus ist alt, aber ganz urig. Platz ist genug und die Ausstattung ausreichend. Luxus sollte man aber nicht erwarten. Es gibt einen dänischen Ofen und Holz im Wohnbereich und eine Heizung in einem der Schlafzimmer. Leider fehlten Jalousien am Schrägfenster über dem Bett. WLAN war gut, aber es gibt keinen Fernseher (steht aber auch so in der Beschreibung) die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und recht modern. Man hat alles man braucht und das Dorf ist klein, aber hübsch und ruhig. Als Ausgangspunkt für Touren durch die wunderschöne Landschaft sehr gut geeignet.
