About this property
Large, Family Farm House - Perfect Place To Enjoy The Beauty Of New Hampshire
Situated on 40+ acres with mountain views, vast fields and dramatic sunsets, Gile Road is the place to relax and reconnect with the earth. Our home is a large 1800's farmhouse that has been expanded and modernized to provide today's comforts with the charm of days long past.
Upon entering out family home you will be welcomed into our lovely 'keeping room' with the original over sized fireplace and comfortable overstuffed sofas perfect for lively conversation or a quiet read in front of the fire. There are multiple other common rooms on the first level that are colonial and loaded with history and comfortable surroundings. Our kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and high-end cookware adjacent to a lovely dining room perfect for a simple breakfast or a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner. As you continue through the house you will enter the sunroom lounge area that looks out onto the patio, swimming pool, stone walls and open fields. This garden area is equipped with relaxing lounge furniture, a barbecue and fire pit perfect for friendly gatherings.
Guest bedrooms are large yet cozy with luxury linens. The second level has 7 bedrooms (3 queens, 2 doubles, and 3 twins) plus a lovely den (double hide-a-bed) and 2 complete baths. There is one full bath on the ground level with an additional half bath located in the library.
Other amenities include: WiFi, one TV with DVD player and an abundance of peace and quiet.

About the host
Hosted by John L Gile

John Gile purchased this property over ten years ago as it had been built by his ancestors in the early 1800s Since that time John has enjoyed sharing the home with his family and friends.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this home because it had been built by our great-great-great-great grand father in 1804. The Home stayed within our family until the early 1900's. We love this home as a place for family gatherings over holidays such as July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
