Beautifully and conveniently located only 225 steps from two community swimming pools and the gorgeous shores of East Beach, True Knot Cottage offers a glimpse of St. Simons Island at its best. This classic-yet-modern home was designed in the style of Charleston's side-porch cottages, providing a wonderful atmosphere full of Southern charm, elegant finishes, and cozy living spaces. You'll be able to walk to the pools, the beach, and the community sundeck each morning, and easily return home for lunch prepared on the gas grill or in the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Sip cold glasses of sweet tea beneath the ceiling fans on the side porch, spend the afternoon people-watching in rocking chairs on the front patio, and catch unforgettable sunsets on the third-level observation deck.

This home is part of the Coast Cottages at St. Simons Island, which sit just a few steps from two pools, a sundeck, and an oceanfront pavilion on the sandy shores of East Beach. When you're not swimming, building sandcastles, or walking the beach at high or low tide, you'll be an easy bike ride (or an an even quicker drive) from the St. Simons Lighthouse Museum and the many attractions of Neptune Park, both of which are less than two miles southwest. Take out a kayak for the morning, tee off at the Seaside Golf Course less than three miles west, and sample a variety of restaurants that await on Ocean Boulevard.

House was very nice. The bedrooms were roomy and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very nice with adequate utensils etc. The porches were awesome and comfortable. Housekeeping needs to give attention to these outdoor areas as well as the indoor areas. The sofas were covered in stretchy slipcovers that didn't stay in place and were not what was pictured in the listing. The front/porch door was very hard to open but seems that this could be an easy fix. We received texts and emails with check in and check out instructions but they did not give the same information so be sure to check all communications to be sure you are properly informed about all aspects of your stay. Overall it was a great stay.

We loved this house for a mothers daughters trip!! Lots of sleeping and hanging out space. The second floor porch/piazza was a highlight. Great location for villages and shopping area. Rented bikes and a golf cart to get around. Beach and pool at the end of the street. Very each and affordable to have a beach section of chairs and umbrellas each day. Great house and area. We loved SSI!!

We loved staying at True Knot Cottage! It was such a great house for our family. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked and we loved the side porch, we ate almost every meal out there. We would love to stay there again!

Great location near the beach. We loved the floorplan of the place and the community pool. There was mold around some air ducts in the living space – we all noticed that we got stuffy noses shortly after arriving. The sheets in the master bedroom were very scratchy. The decorative pillows and comforters in the kids bunk room were stained. The key was very difficult to operate in the lock – he had to jiggle it significantly every time in order to get it to work. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the experience could have been improved with a few changes.

Cozy beach house that’s well appointed.

This was a great location for our family of five. The kitchen was very nice and we enjoyed spending Thanksgiving in this well furnished home. Great porches and living space for spending time together. Coast cottages is the best location for beach access and central to island activities. We have been many times to various properties in this location and will definitely come again!

East Beach cottage

We loved the house. The location was terrific. The house had umbrellas, chairs, a wagon to get it all down to the beach and that was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked. It was comfortable house for the six of us.
