Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy
We arrived at 1230 am. We registered for 4 guests. The vrbo had 5 stars and good reviews. The neighborhood was very rough. There were old couches along the streets. Along the fence to the property. There was even an old sideways port o potty on the corner of the lot that cats were going in an out of as the roof was cut off for this purpose. When we tried to check in with the vrbo instructions at 1230 am.....the code to the door was wrong. I contacted the host on vrbo. No immediate response. I contacted the emergency cell number listed on vrbo and got a prompt response with a correct code. Then we went in. It is a beautiful space. Just like in the pictures. There was a live roach crawling on the floor that my daughter slay with her bare hands. At 1 am we we ready for bed. No linens or pillows. The ones on the bed were very dirty. We split up the blankets on the existing bed. In the morning I again messaged on vrbo. No response. I measaged the emergency number. I apologized for messaging for the code lat at night but mentioned we had no bed sheets pullows or blankets. I was told to "look in the garage as we just cleaned out a unit". Imagine moving an apartment into a 1 stall garage. The sheets and blankets were burried between desk lamps tvs etc. The looked to have been stripped right off a bed. Pillow cases dirty and still on the pillows. We had to launder our own blankets and sheets. The host did not once reach out to us.
