Campbell Cottage: Renovated Victorian cottage with parking near Launceston's CBD
Welcome to Campbell Cottage! This characterful, Victorian-style home was built in 1897 and this gorgeous house has been updated throughout with renovated bathroom and kitchen and beautiful hardwood floors. As you walk in past the lovely front garden and large front verandah, you are met with high ceilings and original leadlight windows.
The front (lounge) room, dining room and bedrooms each showcase original fireplaces (please note that these are no longer in use but ornamental only). Reverse-cycle heating and cooling ensures your stay is comfortable year-round. The lounge is comfortable and spacious and features a 40-inch flat-screen TV as well as a desk and chair for any business travellers. Unlimited free NBN wifi is provided.
The kitchen is spacious and modern with a large kitchen island perfect for preparing your favourite meals. It also doubles as a breakfast bar, with basic breakfast supplies provided (including tea, coffee, cereal, milk, bread and juice). The kitchen is fully stocked and equipped with Caeserstone benchtops, high-end stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher) and a 5-burner gas chef’s stove.
The kitchen flows onto a separate dining room which contains a modern dining suite for six and another original fireplace. Dinnerware, glassware, cutlery and a wide range of cookware and utensils are provided.
The master bedroom contains a comfy queen bed with soft cotton sheets and a luxe velvet bedspread. It is complete with an ornamental fireplace, armchair and mirrored wardrobe. The second bedroom features a double bed decked out with a soft linen bedspread, whilst the third bedroom is the perfect kid's room with two single beds. Like all homes of this era, all bedrooms are generously sized with plenty of space to spread out, and all feature built-in robes.
The home has one and a half bathrooms with the main containing a double vanity and toilet as well as a gorgeous vintage stand-alone claw-foot bathtub perfect for relaxing after a long day. There's also a separate walk-in shower with instant gas hot water. Complimentary toiletries along with a hairdryer and soft cotton towels have all been provided. A second toilet is located adjacent to the main bathroom.
For longer stays, there’s a laundry with washing machine. There's also an iron and ironing board available making this the perfect Airbnb for business travellers.
At the back of the home, you'll find a spacious covered alfresco area with a hooded gas 4-burner BBQ and outdoor seating for 6 guests. Take advantage of the space and entertain your family and friends.
If you're bringing a car, a garage with automatic remote-controlled door is available for your use. Please note that it easily accommodates a small or medium-sized vehicle - if you have a larger vehicle (e.g. a 4WD), you'll need to use precision parking skills. (Otherwise there's a large unmetered car park across the road from the house).
We love this house and have endeavoured to make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for guests coming to visit Launceston. It’s perfect for families and groups celebrating a wedding or reunion or just enjoying a holiday, or come as a single or couple and enjoy the space!

The house was in fantastic condition. The host was awesome. The house is also right next to an unreal gym with a lot of facilities. Thanks for having us.

Lovely house.
Character cottage, nicely renovated in keeping with the character of the era but will all the modern facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Convenient, central location. Would recommend.
