About this property
Modern Spacious Apartment across from City Park and the monkeys + free parking!
This is a luxe home away from home, drenched in sunlight. Flop back on the big couch, watch the big TV, cook in the full kitchen, make your morning cuppa, or just catch a glimpse of the monkeys across the road from the living area windows!
A full renovation of a building that used to be a bootmaker factory then retail store until the late 1960's. This large apartment has a new King size bed, floor coverings, new furniture, air conditioning, a 70" TV and electronic blinds amongst other touches.
It's a great place to be if you have an event at the Grand Chancellor or Albert Hall or if you'd like to be close to an event in City Park such as Festivale!
This is a one bedroom, 95sqm apartment with open plan living area and free off street parking at the door!
Guest Access
The entire apartment is all yours. Of course, high speed 250mbps NBN wi-fi is included.
Interaction with Guests
If you need some advice on where to go, Rick knows local attractions very well and is happy to help you plan your trip. We're just a text message away or if you like to be left alone fully that's fine too, you'll have all the privacy you need. We've also included some visitor guides in the apartment.
The Neighbourhood
This is a special event end of the city. On a Saturday morning you'll feel like you've woken up in the coolest part of the city as everyone converges on the Harvest Market. Also downstairs is the Oak Tree Cafe with amazing house-made cakes and homemade relish. Then across the road is City Park and the Albert Hall.
City Park has many special event weekends so be sure to book early for those weekends. Also during AFL days, it's a walk directly down our street to the stadium. The atmosphere is all around, yet again it's peaceful once you step inside.
Getting Around
If you already have a car then there's FREE off-street parking reserved for you at the door of your apartment. You are less than 4 blocks from most attractions.
If you'd like to go further out of the city, you can hire a car from Europcar of Avis, both of whom are less than 100m away. Other convenient places:
* Pharmacy 200m (2 minute walk)
* Coles Supermarket 400m (5 minute walk)
* Central City shopping 300m
* City Park 40m
* Albert Hall 40m
* Harvest Market 100m
* Launceston Visitor Information centre 250m (less then 5 minutes walk)
* Boags Brewery 300m (5 minute walk)
* University of Tasmania Stadium 950m (10 minute walk)
* Cataract Gorge 1.7km (20 minute walk)
* Penny Royal 1.6km (20 minute walk)
* Launceston Airport 14km (15-20 minute drive)
Other Things to Note
You might be in the middle of the city but it's especially quiet. Some inner city accommodations have interruptions from the town clock each hour through the night however we've had double-glazed windows and insulation installed to block out the sound so you can have a great night sleep.

About the host
Hosted by Rick Marton

Dave and Rick love to travel and also love to provide accommodation that has all the quality and features that we'd love to have in our own homes. Quality appliances, really comfy beds, thoroughly clean and good showers!
We have three properties available, all right next to each other in Launceston's CBD (the 3 bedroom heritage townhouse with the modern touches plus two new 1 bedroom spacious apartments).
We also like constantly updating them, so when guests return they often notice something new!

Why they chose this property
It's brought, spacious and you can see over to the City Park (catch a glimpse of the monkeys in the morning).
The couch is made for lazing on and if you need to unwind after a busy day out, Netflix on the 75" TV is easy done! Air conditioning keeps the temperature right, you've got a full kitchen, comfy King bed, and a bathtub if you want a soak.
This was actually an apartment we built for ourselves before we decided to choose country life, so it's a big space for 2 people. It used to be the upstairs of an architects office before this floor was converted in 2015 and then downstairs to an apartment in 2019.
