This was the perfect cottage for two for the week. It was cozy and felt like being in a ship's cabin. It was comfortable, clean, and well equipped tiny home.

Just perfect

Despite the proximity to a major route it was very very quiet - the kitchen was very well equipped as was the entire cottage .. one small thing - maybe time to change the pillows and mattress - a bit soft for my taste but not terrible either. Overall a wonderful cottage.

Peaceful Setting

Lovely cabin in bucolic setting. I saw 2 bunnies by the front door one night. Close to Orleans; easy to find grocery stores, bookstores, and great coffee. Comfortable chair by the window for reading, surrounded by beautiful trees and birds and a lovely enclosed porch. Only problem was the flying bugs that settled on lamps at night and the ants.

Peaceful Outer Cape Retreat!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. This well appointed home was neat and tidy. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry items and more than enough pots/pans/utensils etc. to prepare any meal. The outdoor shower is lovely and the location is perfect to shower and pop right back into the house. We thoroughly enjoyed eating our meals in the small backyard with a picnic table and additional seating. Communication with the owner was flawless. They contacted us well-before our stay and provided helpful information about the home and the area. We did not need to contact the owner during our stay. We would stay at this property again and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

Wonderful

Beautiful & well appointed cottage. As a bonus the location is perfect. We loved walking to Fort Hill & it was a great home base to access points of interest in the outer and lower Cape. The cottage itself is so peaceful. We could not have asked for a more wonderful stay.

Perfect cottage getaway

Excellent, cottage that appears to be lovingly renovated with an eclectic mix of old and new which is what my wife and I love plus it gives us ideas for our own place. I particularly loved the pebbled glass chicken wire bathroom door and already started a search to implement on my own bathroom. Being an avid woodworker I have great appreciation for the wood beams and stone work around the fireplace as well as the cabled loft railing with a mix of steel. Cottage is at a great midway point between Chatham/Orleans and Wellfleet and out to P-town. Close to countless beaches. We gave it four stars for location because of the constant hum of traffic from route six which did quiet down after about nine o'clock. There was quite a mix of birds around the cottage and the birdwatchers general store in Orleans is a must visit. The screen house was great to unwind in after the beach and we had dinner out there every night. Patti was a great host and communication was easy. Highly recommend this place.

Great Eastham Getaway

This is a beautiful little cottage, just as pictures portray . The inside is gorgeous and Patti was great as a host. Perfect location at the foot of Fort Hill made for perfect morning and evening strolls. The nature trails there are easy and pleasant. The view from the top of Fort Hill is one of the best on the Cape, and the location mid cape makes trips to Chatam, Orleans, or Provincetown easily accessible. This is a place I highly recommend and would stay again without question. I would recommend this

Great little cottage in Eastham

Ver well equipped and comfortable cottage, in a central but secluded location. We loved the Eastham beaches—bay as much as ocean—and the beautiful views from Fort Hill. If we could have, we’d have stayed all summer and into the fall!

Perfect place, perfect location, perfect stay

Just a beautiful little cottage. We loved being able to make the most of the fresh air by spending most of our time in the screened porch. Even on the hot and muggy days, the cottage stayed cool with just the ceiling fans. The walk to Fort Hill is beautiful and the location can't be beat because it is a short drive to both bay and ocean beaches and to mid and outer Cape. Easy access to bike trail at via a pedestrian light on route 6 (make sure the cars all stop before crossing). We biked to Coast Guard Beach. Nearby Hemenway Landing was the perfect place to launch kayaks. The outdoor shower was great with direct access to the deck and house (no grassy feet!). Kitchen had everything we needed. Would absolutely book this little cottage again!

Charming Cape cottage for 2

We enjoyed our stay at Patti’s property In late September. She was an excellent host, and provided plenty of back up support, which we never needed. The house is well- thought out, with excellent kitchen supplies and appliances. The bed was very comfortable and it was located a short walk from some beautiful walking trails along the water and a short distance to the bike trail. Only reason for 4 stars on location is traffic noise from route 6, but even that was not distracting at this time of year.

Hope to return to the cottage!

The cottage is just as described. It appears to have been lovingly restored; it's rustic and comfortable. The kitchen is very amply provisioned, furniture is comfortable. The porch is lovely and inviting, as is the screen porch. We really liked the location too - fort hill is so pretty and a great place for a morning walk or run. We saw an eagle (among other birds) and the salt ponds are beautiful. It was close to food shopping, easy drive to P-town, and close to the bike route. All in all, it lent itself to a great get-away for us.

A charming, comfortable retreat for two

We enjoyed our week in this lovely cottage in Eastham. The cottage is well-equipped, beautifully furnished, and comfortable. Only downside is the sleeping loft (which we didn't need anyway) - cool idea, but would be impractical for sleeping for anyone bigger than maybe an 8-9 year old child due to VERY low ceiling. The screen porch and yard area are very pleasant outdoor spaces. It's a short walk up the hill to walking trails and stunning views from Fort Hill. It's close to Rte 6 so there is some road noise, but not enough to be bothersome. Location is okay - it's a residential area which is nice, but there's nothing close enough to be walkable, and Eastham doesn't have much going on. But it's a short drive to Orleans or Wellfleet (or beyond), which have lots of food, shopping, and recreation options. We went hiking, biking and kayaking nearby, and beach access by car was pretty easy (it was after Labor Day, so that helped). I recommend it highly, as long as you're okay with a residential location and driving a bit for shopping/ entertainment.

Perfect getaway

We loved our time at the cottage this week. We found it easy to get to and knew exactly what to expect from our communication with Patti. The pictures and description were spot on. It’s tucked away to give you a private feel yet so easy to hop on Rte 6 and get where you want to go. The cottage is well stocked with all you’d look for and need on vacation and what’s not included (linens, towels, beach chairs, etc) you’re told to bring ahead of time. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and grill worked perfectly. The outdoor shower is the absolute best and plenty of hot water. The bedroom downstairs is light and airy, with darkening-ish shades and bed is comfy. We LOVED the deck off that room and soaked up sun with coffee every morning there. The upstairs loft bed room is as described (as a loft) note not much head clearance after sitting upright in bed though there - not an issue for our daughter, but I had to be mindful of it. We appreciated the screened in porch for evening meals to avoid any bugs and also made use of the picnic tables out back while grilling. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! And don’t forget to make time to check out Fort Hill trails for a sunset as it’s only a quick jaunt up the hill - so great to have that in your backyard!

The sweetest cottage in a GREAT location!

My husband and I recently stayed here with our two children and loved it! The cottage is adorable - a great place to come back and relax after a busy day. We especially liked the screened in porch. The location is fantastic. Each day we did the amazing Ft. Hill hike - one of the most beautiful places on the cape - within walking distance of the cottage. Needless to say, we didn't want to leave.

This is a beautifully put together little house. It has lots of character, but up-to-date.

We had a wonderful time. The kitchen was really nice, with every you need, including a dishwasher. Before you go to the grocery, check the cabinets. We purchased things (like coffee filters and paper towels) that they already had. Our stay will always be a really good memory.
