About geodesic domes:
Geodesic domes was popularized by American architect Buckminster Fuller in the mid-20th century. This innovative and sustainable architectural structure is characterized by its distinctive spherical shape, composed of a network of triangles that distribute force evenly. Geodesic domes offer wind resistance, natural light penetration, and improved air circulation.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire dome.
Other things to note
Vehicle accessibility: please note that the last 1/4 mile to the dome will be on a mountain dirt road. Snowfall can happen at any time in the mountains and AWD/4WD is highly recommended.
Pets: Please note that due to allergies, I am unable to accommodate pets on the property. Thank you for your understanding.
Snow removal: The dome is on 0.5 acres of land and the driveway can comfortably fit 2 cars. On days with heavy snowfall, the road and driveway will be professionally plowed.
Children: Children are welcome! There is also a foldable crib for guest use. There are a few places in the house that may require adult supervision to ensure safety, including the loft area and staircase.
Cooling. Please note that there is no air conditioning in the cabin. There is a ceiling fan and tower fans will be provided during the Summer months.
Heating: Please note that the wood stove is not serviced/not operational. Guests are able to use the wall furnace and 3 additional radiant heaters for heating.
