About this property

Seafront house with stunning views close to Athens

A 2 bedroom seafront holiday home ideal for 4 to 5 people, with direct access to a private beach, located in a wonderfully serene surrounding overlooking the sea, 1h 15min drive away from Athens International Airport. The house enjoys a panoramic view of the sea, is renovated (constr. year 2017) and is professionally designed and decorated. Contemporary modern design meets a classic cosy look bringing together comfort and elegance. The motto here is: relax - gaze at the sea - indulge in a swim.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen (cooker, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge with cold water and ice cube supply) and a stylishly decorated living space. There is a garden surrounding the house offering panoramic view to the Evian gulf. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite bathroom. Both rooms have view to the sea and are equipped with ceiling fans. The living space is orientated towards the sea and lounging on the sofa offers stunning views of the sea and sunset. The house is semi-detached and is part of a 5000m2 estate. The property has a private garden of approx. 500m2 filled with low rise Mediterranean plants and trees. The beach is set a few steps below the property and is only shared with the tenants from the adjacent property.

In Evia island you will find more than 350 beaches, I can provide you advice on a selection of beaches in short distance from our property, in case you would like to plan excursions away from the property for half or a full day.

Local amenities in the village of Vasiliko are an 5’ drive away (super market, pharmacy, bank, post office) and the resort towns of Chalkida and Eretria are 10’ drive away, offering you the chance for a tranquil promenade by the sea and taverns with fish & sea food but also Greek and other international cuisine and nightlife options.

The property is located on the island of Evia, which you can access directly by car without the need for a ferry ride (see excerpt from google maps in photos).

Car use is recommended but you can also access the property by train from the Athens International Airport or the Athens City Centre to Chalkida train station (around 1,3 hrs ride) and then take a taxi to the property from the train station (20’). I can provide you further advice in case you decide to choose this travel plan. timetable:

Maison magnifique et très belle vue

La maison est vraiment magnifique et la vue superbe. Elle est très confortable et parfaitement équipée.En revanche nous avons dû activer le chauffe eau, nous n'avons jamais réussi à avoir de l'eau chaude via les panneaux solaires. Je trouve qu'au prix de la location quelques détails pourraient être améliorés (pas de torchons pour essuyer la vaisselle, un étendoir à linge en mauvais état, la porte de la machine à laver qui ferme difficilement, un abattant de toilette cassé ...) certes ce sont des détails mais quand on propose une aussi belle maison à un prix aussi élevé, il me semble que cela devrait facilement être corrigé. Nous avons bien apprécié les moustiquaires à toutes les fenêtres qui sont vraiment nécessaires même en avril.Si nous devions retourner en Grèce, nous referions nos 3 jours à Athènes, en revanche, nous ne retournerions pas sur l'île d'Eubée où il y a très peu de choses à visiter et où les paysages sont certes jolis mais pas exceptionnels. Nous avons dû retourner sur le continent pour visiter des sites remarquables (avec beaucoup de route du coup).La communication avec Marie et Agis était très facile, ils ont été très réactifs chaque fois que nous avons eu besoin d'eux.

Heel ruime woning met goeie airco en uitgeruste keuken. 2 badkamers met douche (waar het water overdag wel te warm, en 's avonds iets te koud was - maar men ging er naar laten kijken). 50 stappen tot aan het strand en propere zee. Goed contact met de eigenares.

Heerlijk huisje met eigen strandje

Ons gezin (3kinderen 11,12,12jr) heeft een heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit mooie vakantiehuis, dat van alle gemakken is voorzien. We werden gastvrij ontvangen, routebeschrijvingen van leuke dingen om te doen of adresjes v lekkere restaurants in de buurt kregen we doorgestuurd, waardoor we na aankomst meteen op pad konden zonder van alles uit te hoeven zoeken. Het privé strandje was heerlijk en het uitzicht op de zee gaf direct een vakantiegevoel. In iets meer dan een uur ben je in hartje Athene, en kun je alle hoogtepunten bezichtigen. Kortom, een fijne plek om te verblijven.

Enjoyed this beach house close to Athens

We were looking for a quiet retreat after a busy time in Greece that was close to the Athens airport (our departure point). We found it in Marie's beach house - we enjoyed relaxing and swimming and did a little exploration of Evia, Greece's 2nd largest island.

Wonderful panorama

The house is in a perfect position just in front of the sea...with a private beach from where have a swim every time you want. Each detail is accurate inside the house and me, my wife and my daughters spent beatiful days.

Wonderful holiday in an amazing location!

Wonderfully relaxing holiday. Lucky to found this peaceful place! Lovely location away from the tourist traps with whole beach to ourselves all time. Excellent house with an amazing view, perfectly positioned for great swimming, chilling and relaxing. The nearby village has a very good bakery and lots of shops. The hosts were really helpful and well informed us about excellent tavernas and what we could do on the island. We will definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice environment and a good vacation by the sea!
