This amazing oceanfront condo floats over its panoramic views, overlooking Half Moon Bay at Akumal with clear blue/green waters out your floor-to-ceiling window. The entire front of the condo is a window making you feel like you are floating on the bay. Crystal clear water views are visible from the living room, dining room, kitchen and even the bedroom. With the floor-to-ceiling window covering the entire front of the condo, you fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the amazing view.

Half Moon Bay is a snorkeling haven. The bay outside your condo has some of the best snorkeling on the Riviera Maya. There is also Akumal Bay close by for waveless snorkeling and beach play. Walk to Yal-Ku Lagoon around the corner from the home. There you will find an abundance of fish, and likely find yourself swimming with turtles.

There are numerous restraurants also within walking distance. If you like, partake in the nearby restaurants and night life, then walk home and enjoy your beachfront outside the home.

There are numerous attractions nearby, including visiting ancient ruins, cenotes, Yal-ku Lagoon, Xcaret, Xel-Ha, snorkeling, diving, wonderful restaurants and bars, and driving (or taxi) distance to nearby sites like Tulum, Chichen Itza, Playa Del Carmen and even Cancun. The nearby ferry can be taken over to Cozumel for a day on the island.

The only thing I needed was more days here. If you rent a car I would recommend upgrading your phone plan to include international data for navigational purposes.

Overall, fantastic spot to stay for a relaxed vacation. You can swim right out and snorkel, hang on the beach, grab drinks and dinner with a short walk. The staff maintained the condo everyday with clean towels if needed and even washed the dishes in the sink which I wasn’t expecting! So wonderful:)

Stacy’s condo was absolutely fantastic. The property management were super helpful and the actual property itself was stunning. If you’re looking for a relaxing quiet getaway this is 1000% the place to be. We rented a car but there are golf carts available for rent as well if you took a shuttle to get to the property. The restaurants in the area were amazing as well! We definitely will be coming back asap!

Right on the beach. Nice mexican decor. A littte older condo - but well maintained and great cleaning service. Fully equipped kitchen - they supply big bottles of drinking water. Most importantly - you have a full wall window with the most incredible view and sound of the Caribbean sea. Bedroom has a small balcony with the pool view. Great stay.

Loving Life at La Iguana

The fabulous view, the peace and serenity, wonderful housekeeping services - all combine to make this the perfect get away from the snow and cold. Wonderful cross breeze kept us comfortable the whole time. No AC needed. Walking distance to good eating and drinking. As others before, we also recommend La Lunita, Buena Vida, Que Onde, and Turtle Bay. Crossing the bridge to the Pueblo is also well worth it for a)l the art work and more food choices. We enjoyed El Ultima Maya and also brought back a BBQ chicken dinner from one of the many roasters around town. Snorkeling, beach time, reading, playing cribbage, walking - all combined to make us love life at La Iguana in Akumal.

Nice 4 night stay in spacious oceanfront condo

We had a nice 4 night stay in #3 La Iguana. It is an older property but very spacious. Everything was great except for having a power outage for the first day/night and then no running water. Luckily it was restored on day 2 or we would have had to move. Communication with host/property manager was very good. The only thing we didn't like about this 2nd floor unit was that there was no real outdoor space (just a tiny balcony off the bedroom at the back). Location is at the very end of the road so a bit of a walk to some of the restaurants. Snorkeling out front was disappointing as the coral is in rough shape. But all in all, an enjoyable stay.

Quiet and Relaxing

First time to this part of Mexico. Driving around Cancun and Playa Del Carmen before we headed to Akumal definitely made me have some doubts day 1. It all looked a bit run down - layer that with the amount of poverty and warnings about tourist scams at every corner, I was starting to rethink our decision. The room instantly made the vacation worth it. The view is BETTER then the photos. Fully equipped - had everything we needed and more. Great communication - house keeping was amazing - staff was so friendly. Genuinely so nice that all our plans to do cozumel/ Xcaret and cenotes - monkey sanctuary / atv / ziplines went out the window. Other than 1 day where we headed to Tulum Ruins, we opted to stay put. We spent the whole week hanging out in the room / snorkeling / walking around and eating. Very quiet / private area - basically had it all to ourselves. Laziest - most relaxing vacation ever. Will 100% be coming back.

Beautiful Place!

We had a wonderful time staying at Stacy’s. As soon as you walk in the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed both pools, and my husband loved snorkeling right in front of the condo. It’s also stocked with anything you’ll need for a fun day at the beach.

Remote Paradise Found

The location is great as far as being on the water with a fantastic view of the Half Moon Bay. We also loved the fact that we were only a 5-minute walk to some of the best snorkeling in the lagoon. The only downside is walking to town is about 1/2 hr. walk each way. There are two restaurants that are about 10 to 20 minutes away. Only breakfast place is in the village, but you can always stock up on breakfast items and cook in the condo. Bring your own coffee filters - regular basket filters, not cone.
