Nothing short of breathtaking!

Clean home with a beautiful open top floor, ocean view within 3 minutes of walking to the beach ( a very small amount of hiking involved but very close). I cannot stress enough, if you’re looking for a coastal home in Depoe Bay, this is never going to be a bad choice! We had a fantastic time and loved the home!

Family Trip

We have stayed at many places on the Oregon Coast in many different houses over the year’s. This house has to be one of the best. The location is great away from the busy Lincoln City and Depoe Bay but also close enough for a quick trip into either. The beach access is a cool little trail through the wooded area across from the house.The house had plenty of space for everyone to do there own thing. Plus a great gathering space in the kitchen/dining area.I highly recommend this house.

Clean, bright and spacious beach house

This house perfectly suited our needs. Our family of four and our friends, a family of three, and all 3 of our combined dogs, had plenty of space here to spread out, lots of room to eat together and hang out. House was nice and clean and well equipped. We got takeout from Fishing Rock Eatery and Lounge one night and it was awesome! We especially loved stargazing on one clear night on the deck and the path through the trees to the beach. Our guys enjoyed some surf fishing and we all thoroughly enjoyed our 3- day weekend stay. Hope to be back in the near future!!

Family trip to the beach

Decent location, short drive to downtown depoe bay, Newport, and Lincoln city. No issues with the neighborhood. Beautiful home inside and out. A little more attention to detail would take this house from an 8 to a 10. The heat by fireplace only was challenging with a toddler but acceptable. The updates through out the house were tremendous but cheapened a little but the main bath being a walk-in stand up bathtub and the downstairs bathroom was completely updated except the toilet. The owners do go out of their way to make the house feel comfortable and do the extras to make it feel like home, but it seemed like the cleaning crew and/or maintenance has been cutting some corners. The shower curtain was ripped down on both ends and made it hard to keep shut, the floors were dirty when we arrived, the closet door in the downstairs bedroom was off the track when we got there. Overall a great house, great amenities, comfortable, and welcoming. -Andy Oswald

Power out

No WiFi available, terrible cell service in house. Contacted property mgmt immediately they were going to come out after trying to troubleshoot on phone, but never arrived. Power out over 1/2 of stay, no water. Considering sunset at 4:30 pm, thats a long time in the dark and cold. When upstairs propane stove was on it emitted a constant loud, high pitched whistling noise. Lots of crumbs in drawers and fridge, cabinets pretty dirty. Game pieces from Jenga on floor in living room. House is great overall but incredibly disappointed with property mgmt. Terrible service, cleanliness and upkeep. No response to my questions and concerns.

Amazing Thanksgiving week

This house is spacious and in an amazing location. The trailhead right across the street was fun, we walked it everyday and loved it! AMAZING views. The house was stocked really well and overall was fantastic, we will be back! There were six of us, our two adults kids brought their BF and GF and we all had plenty of space. The neighborhood was great and we had a lovely time. Two things to mention: Bathroom one is a handicap walk in tub only. There is no shower head except for a hand held. Major issue is that the dryer wasn't working. So I washed a load of laundry and was unable to dry it. After contacting Vacasa, they let me know that the dryer is touchy and has issues. We tried all of their tricks and still no luck. I let them know that since this a known issue, the dryer needs to be replaced. It took me two days to dry my laundry by laying it out in front of the heater! One other side note is that the bed in the largest room, assuming master really needs replaced. The mattress was very uncomfortable to sleep on and the bed squeaks with even a simple leg movement. so was hard to sleep in!

Please Fix these Things.

Can opener is rusty & barely works. Down stairs toilet , REPLACE with tall type. Most furniture needs replacing, too saggy and lumpy. Need some flat surface in downstairs bedroom. a dresser. NO DRAWERS to put things. Beds were comfortable. .The windows upstairs were very nice, as were the coverings. The heater upstairs need a permanent fix. We called the number for a fix in this as it was very cold upstairs. It took 2 days for someone to come. Unacceptable. Remember seniors often have disabilities and need handrails and grab bars in the restrooms.

Our Family Vacation at Chinook House 2021

We had an amazing stay at this home with our large family! We had a few minor things we could say could have made this A+. First off the good, this home was so well accommodating for our group of 11 which included 6 kids! Plenty of sleeping space available, blankets, throw pillows, bean bag, games and books. The kids had a blast! The huge wrap around deck and big yard was extraordinary. We all were so comfortable and cozy! The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. We loved finding anything we needed and we’re stoked to see that it was there! Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked with towels, soaps and toiletries etc. The walk in tub was AMAZING for rinsing the kids after the beach. The access to the beach was great. There are two entries. One that’s local use and is super close. It’s a quick walk through the woods and a stroll down a dirt hill. The other is a HOA entry that we were told is fine for vacationers. Nice stairway down to the beach. So the down sides were minor but somethings that could have just topped it for us in particular. The house got very stuffy when being closed and locked up when we were away and at the beach. Maybe a few fans that could be left on would have helped. And last is just the garbage bags. We could not find any anywhere in the house except for the ones provided in the bin already. Being 11 of us we needed just one more bag! I had an extra grocery bag we ended up stuffing the final day! Other then those minor touches this house was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

Nice and good location!

We had a great family stay with 5 adults and one 5 year old. The house was nice and well stocked. There are two beaches within about 10 minutes walk and many more within a 20 minute drive. I recommend this place for families! If we come back to DEPOE Bay, we’ll try to stay here again!
