About this property

Welcome to our Strawbale home- With no hidden cleaning fees or a chore list.

Welcome to our Strawbale Casita. We want to make this experience the best for you so we removed all cleaning fees and chore lists. Just come and enjoy.
My husband and I built this home. It is a 600 square ft casita that is very comfortable and has everything you need. We occasionally provide a blowup Jacuzzi for your pleasure and relaxation (Let us know if you are interested). We are just south of Downtown Phoenix, but walking or biking distance from it. Our home has a very constant temperature due to the fact that the walls are about 20 inches thick. We are about 6-10 blocks from the light rail, sports venues, the convention center, theater, bars, and restaurants. We live in another Strawbale next door and can share info about the area (we are natives) but we will also give you all the privacy you need. We think you will really enjoy this unique experience. Come and see for yourselves. We are building another strawbale home right behind these which is a Hacienda with a courtyard. We are in the construction stage and will be happy to give you a tour. We loved the strawbale house!It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also very charming with a lot of creative touches. We were there for a show at the Mortgage Center and it was close to the venue. The hosts are lovely people, kind and friendly without being at all intrusive. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Very much enjoyed the tranquility of this Vrbo. It is near downtown so can be a little noisy but the landscaping is a joy to experience and the strawbale home is very comfortable and inviting. Superb hosts. Highly recommend.

This place is so unique and interesting with a very cool history. The casita is exactly as displayed in the photos. We booked a last minute trip which is not our norm and Susan was so very accommodating and communicative despite being out of the country herself. The place is cozy and comfortable and an easy in and out from the airport. We would definitely book here again.

Susan and her husband were very kind and emphasized reaching out to them if there was anything that I needed. The casita was perfect for my stay to attend an expo at the conference center. I prefer having a kitchen to prepare my own food due to having celiac disease and the full size refrigerator, infection stove top and oversized microwave oven made it easy. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, flatware, pans, and common seasonings and oil. A huge bonus was that my stay was half the price of hotels! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was beautiful 1 like a spa!

An amazing stay

The straw bale house is amazing. The hosts are absolutely lovely and Boo and Lucy (the cat and dog) are very welcoming as well. The area is very interesting and we would love to visit again.
