Tucked away in nature’s quiet embrace, this one-of-a-kind cabin offers a peaceful escape from the noise of everyday life. Thoughtfully redesigned with cozy interiors and serene surroundings, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, reconnect, and breathe deeply. Whether you're sipping coffee on the porch or stargazing, every moment here feels like a gentle exhale.
The space
This cabin is located in Mayhill, New Mexico, approximately 14 minutes from the village of Cloudcroft. The cozy two bedroom, two bathroom, cabin retreat has been completely remodeled, top to bottom and side-to-side, inside and out. It is both rustic and beautiful, and every square foot has been designed for comfort. The large porches in both front and back are covered, from where both deer and elk can frequently be seen in early morning or evening.



A wood burning stove, or propane wall heaters (your choice, or use both) provide heat if required. Hunter ceiling fans in every room provide excellent cooling. (Community) Access to the cabin is from highway 82 near mile marker 25 with a large entry sign that says, “Robin Hood”. The road to the cabin is paved and a four-wheel drive vehicle is NOT NECESSARY to access the cabin.



Access to the national forest is but a short walk, so after a hike in the forest or a visit to Cloudcroft village you can relax at the cabin with all the comforts of home. There is a complete kitchen, table and chairs, and a small but beautiful kitchen island. A washer, dryer, and mop sink are in the utility room.



Free WiFi and two large screen Smart TVs.

Queen beds in each bedroom.

All cooking basics, dishes, pots, pans, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

1) LEAVE Propane Heaters on low (level 1) in Winter 2) Wood Stove Ashes must be cool before disposing 3) Leave Sheets on Bed (Housekeeper will remove and wash for next guest

4) Place dirty towels in laundry room 5) Load the dishwasher and start. 6) Turn off coffee pot and lights 7) Secure all windows and doors.

8) Take Trash to Dumpster 9) Leave the keys in the lockbox. Scramble code

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Hunters - Please do not place game in refrigerator because blood will pool in bottom and seize motor

Winter Months - Please make sure propane heaters are set to 1 before departing to ensure pipes do not freeze. Trash must be put in dumpsters! BEARS!!

Septic System - Please dump all scraps in trash and dump any oils outside on grass. The cabin does not have a disposal.

This was an excellent property. Almost brand new and maintained perfectly. Artfully appointed - we really enjoyed our stay. Complete with Elk visiting every evening. Highly reccomend

The cabin was very clean and we appreciated the updated bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with what was needed to prepare meals. And the beds were super comfy. We loved sitting on the back deck for morning coffee and evening meals. Communication with the host was easy … even after we left and realized we left a computer behind. We look forward to booking again in the future.

It was great property for 4 of us. Clean , in the forest but still home around u to feel safe.grocery is just 15 mins drive in Cloudcraft. All ups store open 24 hours. New vessels in kitchen. Felt living in mountains for 2 days.

Everything was very clean and everything you could possibly need from dish soap to a “church key” for opening canned milk…and q-tips and air freshener! So impressed with the whole set up….even pans that you could actually enjoy cooking with….the view of the trees out the back was awesome and relaxing and we spent a lot of time on the porch just looking at them. ..we will definitely stay here again! Wow. Where do I start so many good things to say about this cabin it was clean. It was New. The beds were great. Slept like a log. The host was excellent. Lots of amenities beautiful back deck. Great showers great communication from the host hostess she even brought us fresh farm eggs. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cabin in the Mayhill Cloudcroft area. It was perfectly situated with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains. I cannot say more about how good the host hostess was. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay beautiful but needs a Tv in the 2nd bedroom and the Tv in the living room you can’t watch cuz in the kitchen so that was inconvenience. I we have no control over power outage, but the power was out from midnight till five in the morning and it got a little hot in the cabin, cause there is no generator that supplies the house when this happens like the other houses up there.

Property is just as pictured and accurately described. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. Beautiful scenery with elk and deer right off back porch. We went to go off roading and enjoyed the entire area. Host is very responsive.

Christy had the most beautiful cabin in the woods! We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and sweet hospitality! The cabin was immaculate and smelled amazing. All cooking appliances were extremely pristine and perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay! Blessed to have been in such a perfect cabin!
