This cozy mountain cabin (736sq.ft) includes an open living, dining and kitchen area. Main level bedroom has a queen bed and a 3/4 bath(toilet, sink, shower, no tub). Upstairs loft(not an enclosed room) has a double/full bed and 1/2 bath(toilet, sink). The cabin's decor embraces the Cloudcroft area. Covered front deck has patio furniture so you can enjoy the fresh air, cool temperatures and watch for wildlife. Walk out the back door and walk through the forest on an old logging road. Located just 6 miles from the Village of Cloudcroft and 3 miles from the Cloudcroft Ski Area.
The cabin is most comfortable for one couple or two singles.
Laundry facilities can be made available for extended stays.

We enjoyed the property and the home very much. It was well appointed.

Our stay was very relaxing and we got to see quite a bit of the wildlife in the mornings. The only drawback is the highway sound but I forgot it was there after some hours again thank you for having us.

Quiet and Peaceful

Came to visit our son at Holloman AFB. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed the elk herd who greeted us early in the morning. Beautiful place to stay and visit. Very clean! Super easy check in and check out.Highly recommend

An amazing scenic retreat

I just have to comment on what an lovely cabin the " Cabana Escondido " was. The interior was immaculate and well stocked. And the views were stunning! And not to mention a short distance away from downtown Cloudcroft as well as being very near to the sky/tubbing venue. I will surely be coming back for another stay.

Beautiful place!

Very beautiful cabin! It's evident this cabin was made with love and it is very well taken care of. My family and I enjoyed our stay here during Christmas and we got to see plenty of deer. We even enjoyed a walk on the trail located behind the cabin. Very tranquil place and I would absolutely book this cabin again. Thank you!

Beautify stay

The cabin views are beautiful and the cabin is small but gorgeous. It was very quiet and peaceful. We ventured out behind the cabin along the old logging road and it was a beautiful walk. The cabin has everything you need if you want to cook. We decided to get food in Cloudcroft. I would stay here again!! Highly recommend

Pretty, cozy property

We had a great time here, very snug. There were three of us and if anything, we could have used more space. The bedroom upstairs is open (no door) and only has a toilet, no shower, so anybody staying here would need to be pretty comfortable sharing a bathroom. Also, the space upstairs is best for someone who isn't very tall. The place can sleep 4 but you would be a bit cramped IMO. All that said, it's very comfortable and there are elk to see out the window in the morning and down the road at night. Also a very nice trail right out the back. I have to also say that while the weather was warm when we were there, the house is WONDERFULLY insulated. Stays very warm, even when it is chilly out and we didn't even use the stove. And the owners were very responsive to my last-minute questions. They are clearly hunters and as they say in the book they provide, this is not the place for you if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. There are also some religious artifacts around so again, if that bothers you, this might not be for you.

Our stay was a combination, my wife was asked to perform wedding services for a friend of ours and we made it our honeymoon as we were married in March. Everything was EXCELLENT and we will gladly recommend it to anyone without kids or pets. We understand the reasoning behind their restrictions.

Cloudcroft is one of our favorite small towns to visit, and we especially like staying a little outside of town. BJ and Judy’s property was a perfect distance from town, making it quite accessible. It was quiet (even with being on the highway!) and restful. The amenities were just right, and I especially appreciated the helpful posted notes around and the nightlights in the bathrooms! Got to enjoy some “visitors” several days, with one particular young doe looking at us as if to question what we were doing in her yard. Ha! I would definitely recommend their home for a nice, relaxing getaway.
