Clean, well stocked, beautiful area. Heard coyote packs communicating across two areas one night and it was very cool. I like hearing them in a safe house

Outstanding!! The cabin was clean and comfortable and well stocked. Communication with the host was great. We really enjoyed sitting in the cabin or outside on one of the porches and watching the elk that were there in abundance! Very relaxing! Would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed for a week in the mountains. We were attending a Bible retreat up the road from the cabin, but wanted our own rooms and bathrooms. This cabin was perfect.

Wonderful to hear! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for booking with us!
We had a nice time on our stay in Cloudcroft. The house was just as described and was clean, had easy access, and had all the amenities. We especially liked the quiet neighborhood and the more secluded area. It was hard to head home to the heat of Texas!
We had an amazing stay at the 42 Pines cabin. It was very peaceful, and was all we had hoped for. We really loved watching the elk and the hummingbirds. Everything was provided for us and it was Avery relaxing and fun time. Thank you for sharing your homes with us!

What a wonderful place to get away for Spring break. The cabin was peacefully remote, but close enough to town that we never felt we were too far away. Great sunsets, and lots of wildlife.

We are so glad you enjoyed your spring break escape! Thanks for booking with us!
Beautiful, well appointed cabin. Loved the recliners. Hummingbird feeders should be cleaned of mold regularly. We cleaned them and refilled them. The Seller Jays were very entertaining. They love bird seed. We even had a group of elk come through several mornings. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Loved the location, Que amenities were great. We had elks as visitors every afternoon. Just lovely cabin.
The cabin was awesome. Everything you need. Quiet, peaceful, close to town. The elk on the property at night were magnificent. The stars beautiful! Will stay again.
The setting for this cabin is just fantastic. The weather was wonderful as well. I had to interact several times with the owners due to my own mistakes and they were just as fantastic as their property!

My family stayed here for a week. We enjoyed the Elk every evening and loved watching the hummingbirds as well. We cooked a lot with a fully stocked kitchen. Close to the village so that was great!
A wonderful cabin for a mountain weekend! Loved the elk in the evening and early morning. Highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Neal & Davene Nebgen, Ryan & Kelly Schneider, Chace & Kasey Vacek
About the Nebgen, Schneider & Vacek families: We live in Texas and have always loved Cloudcroft. We vacation here as often as we can & always wanted to buy a second home here. This cabin is the perfect addition for our family. We all have very busy jobs, active lives, & needed a beautiful, peaceful place in the mountains to get away from busy lives & the Texas heat. Neal & Davene Nebgen are parents to these two grown daughters & grandparents to these 4 amazing grandchildren. Ryan & Kelly Schneider have 3 children active in sports & Chace & Kasey Vacek have their first child. This is a wonderful place with a lot of room outside for the grand kids to play. This cabin is also a perfect place to spend family time enjoying the wildlife, birds, views and time together making a lot of memories in the mountains. The Cabin is in an area surrounded by so many beautiful pine trees and every time our family is together, we love to play a game called “42” dominoes! That is where the cabin got its name “42 Pines Cabin”!
What makes this property unique
This cabin has all you could ever want when it comes to beautiful views from huge windows looking out to the mountains! Enjoy the peace and quiet of being in the country along with the wildlife. Wake up to elk grazing below the deck. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a nice grilled meal on the large deck while watching birds or deer. Even with all these "country living" luxuries, you are only 5 miles from the shopping, restaurants, and bars. It is also a must to make the quick trip into the village to enjoy everything it has to offer!
