About this property

Our working ranch offers ocean views and tranquility among the redwoods. The 2 bedroom flat, occupying one floor of our home, includes an open living and kitchen area. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a tub. Bike beautiful local roads, hike our ranch, or relax with a book. We are next to Willow Creek park as well as the lovely town of Occidental. Guests can collect eggs, pet horses, or even scratch a 450 lb. pig! We offer wifi and free phone use. Cell service is minimal. We are just 3 miles west of Occidental on a secluded property. While we just started listing with this site we have been hosting for almost three years and have lots of great reviews on other sites. New hot tub with great sunset views and under the stars.

Pleasant stay in bottom floor of cabin in redwoods

The unit is really unique and fun to stay in with amazing views out big picture windows. There is a well stocked kitchen and lots of good reading nooks. There are enjoyable hikes all around and no cell service, so it's a great way to unplug. The unit is directly below the owners, so there is a decent amount of noise from upstairs, and if they are on site there is not a ton of privacy with regards to the patio and hot tub.

It’s lovely!

This is really a lovely spot for a getaway with kids. We spent every morning collecting eggs and making the best breakfasts. The kids fed the horses every chance they got. Our littlest now knows exactly what the horse/rooster/duck/chicken/pig/cow says! It was also super relaxing to enjoy the hot tub at night and the gas fireplace is a great touch for the deck. Our dog was certainly living his best life...I felt guilty taking him back to the city! They really had everything we needed and were very welcoming. We plan to go back for future mini-getaways.
