Our property includes a few hosts onsite that are all family and PASSIONATE about this ranch, all that it offers, and ultimately, its’ success. Because of this, we believe we offer a all hands on deck, immersive informative, and inclusive experience from our hosts’ and hostess’. From full property tours, hayrides and cookouts, unique viewings of our working ranch and everything that a “day at the ranch” entails, interactive one on one with our animals, sunset rides and nighttime fire pit chats with s’mores- we really believe in our place and it’s offerings of a true utopia

If peace and solitude is what you’re looking for, you’ve found it! Located at the end of a secluded country road, Rockin’ Star Ranch is a luxurious getaway where time seems to stand still. RSR is about escaping urban life to re-connect with family, friends and all that nature has to offer. This VRBO listing is actually 1 of 10 different listings located on the ranch (sleeps 50+ adults) Rising star can be booked under this listing or the entire ranch can be booked under its own Rockin Star ranch listing. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor bar, the pool, fish in our ponds, observe and maybe even feed the animals, explore our property, and tour our event venue. Our amenities include an outdoor kitchen, pool, large pastures, tire swings, courtyards, cabins, fishing ponds (catch and release), the woods, and a game room which is located in the garage of the main house. Awesome getaway!

We had a lovely stay! This particular spot is right near the pool and so comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. The overall property is just stunningly beautiful. We spent a good amount of time in the pool but also enjoyed the hammock by the pond! We were there for a wedding but will definitely be back for a weekend just to enjoy.

Roundtop shopping stay

My friend and I did a couple of days at roundtop shopping and stayed here and it was just amazing. Quiet and restful. Bed was high quality as well as furnishings. Host was wonderful and helpful when we needed assistance. I would love to come back and bring my family for some quiet R&R and to enjoy the ranch and animals. Would most definitely stay here again.

Perfect weekend getaway!

My husband and I loved visiting for our anniversary. The cabin was perfect for 2. If you have kids, I believe the loft sleeps 2 as well. We loved being 15-20 minutes from downtown Brenham and the seclusiveness of the ranch. Darell, the owner, is very friendly, quick to respond, and welcoming. It is the perfect weekend getaway from Houston. Overall, we will be back!!

Rockin Star Ranch

I have to travel to Brenham for work quite often. My go to place to stay is Rockin Star Ranch. I can't say enough about the beauty and tranquility of this place. To be honest, it's therapeutic. The cabins are immaculate, the animals are everywhere, and Darrell is an incredible host. I'm very thankful that i found this place.

It has been one of the best experiences we had with staying at Rockin star ranch! The place is so beautiful and peaceful. It has everything we needed for an awesome stay at ranch. The owner was super nice and we just felt like at home. The cabins are very clean and organized, with beautiful western decorations. The views are gorgeous! Kids enjoyed a fantastic time with swimming, horseback riding, s’more and so on! We already planned for our next stay! We really appreciate the experiences.

There is so much to stay about this property. Fun for all ages including my family of 7 with mainly adults. The host is absolutely amazing and very accommodating. My daughter won’t stop talking about riding Tucker (the sweet horse) and she can’t wait to go back! Quick Getaway

I love this ranch as my quick getaway from Houston anytime I just want to get out of town for a few days! It’s only an hour away, so incredibly convenient. There’s plenty to do on the property, and it’s a quick jaunt into town, if you want a little more action and noise. Darrel, the host, is always so accommodating and enjoyable - doing everything he can to make everyone feel welcome and at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rockin Star!

Peaceful Evenings after Round Top!

Enjoyed our peaceful evenings after busy days at Round Top! Cabin was well appointed and had just what we needed. Our host Darrell gave us a tour of the farm. The girls got to hold the baby goats and see longhorn cows and calfs. He also recommended excellent restaurants. We will be back for the Fall Show. This is a beautiful place for a corporate event or wedding as there are multiple cabins and accommodations on the property.

Great getaway!

We had so much fun staying at the Rockin Star Ranch! From the minute we stepped onto the property, our host made sure he was available to our EVERY need , literally 24/7! The cottage was super clean, the towels and linens smelled so fresh, and the entire property was amazingly maintained. We had access to the entire ranch and all of the fences, enclosures, stables and animal habitats were SO well taken care of - I was really impressed! We spent most of our time being lazy, playing ping-pong, and sitting by the fire pit- but there were lots of other available things to do like fishing, a hot tub and pool, a covered outdoor kitchen with a sitting area, darts, horseshoes and all sorts of animals to see/pet. This would be a really fun place to take kids!

Rockin' Star Stay!!

Having family in Brenham for 50+ years, we decided to rent a lovely cabin overlooking the pool and lake for my fathers memorial service. The charming cabin nestled in the serene countryside provided a perfect escape for our stay. Waking up to the stunning view of the pool glistening in the morning sun, the tranquil lake surrounded by lush greenery, and horses grazing was pure bliss. Darrell, the owner, ensured the cabin was cozy and well-equipped, offering all the comforts of home. I loved sipping a lovely glass of wine watching the sun set on our private porch, listening to the sounds of nature and frequent visits from the loving ranch dogs. The location provided the perfect balance of relaxation and unwinding outdoors, with close proximity to downtown Brenham and Chappell Hill. I can't recommend this charming cabin getaway enough. It's the ideal destination for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with a touch of rustic elegance and a close connection to nature. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We spent the weekend on the property for moms birthday! It was the perfect weekend getaway . Darrell was a great host. He had timely responses to questions, very accommodating, and built us the perfect fire in the fire pit. The house was clean and comforting. You could tell the houses and property was well taken care of of. We has a lovely and peaceful experience in the ranch! We will definitely return, and highly recommend staying here! Let me begin by saying that the facility is beautiful. The problem is…the facility is not being properly maintained. Upon our arrival, the refrigerator in cabin was not on, the hot water heater was not on, the cabin looked like it had not been cleaned. When we inquired about the hot water heater, a young man entered our cabin and flipped the switch to turn it on. In reality, he turned it off, and we had no hot water for a shower that first night. The grounds were not freshly mowed and most of the flower beds were in terrible condition. Dried up zinnias filled several of the flower beds. The parking was terrible. Upon arrival we parked in a cemented area a little distance from our cabin. But to our dismay, the host informed us that we would have to move our cars because his family was coming in for the weekend and that is where THEY parked. We, the “paying guests” had to move our cars to a gravel drive quite a distance from our cabins to accommodate his teenagers. There was no sidewalk from parking area to cabins AND there was no lighting in that area. We had to walk through un-mowed grass on uneven ground with NO nigh time lighting. Our group had 5 cabins rented. 6 of us were aged between 74 – 83. The pictures seen on the VRBO website show a beautiful outdoor kitchen space. It is beautiful, BUT we were told that none of the appliances work. We had planned on using the space to cook for our group but that was not possible. On the last night of our stay, we were all sitting in the outdoor space enjoying the cool breeze when the host, his friend and several teenagers passed by our area on their way to light a fire in the fire pit. The smoke from the firepit blew directly over to our area and that ended our relaxing evening. We had to call it a night. There is a note on the cabin door with instructions for use of the facility. Upon checkout we were requested to strip the beds, place all linens/towels on a pile, take all trash to the dumpster AND wash/dry/put up all dishes that we may have used. Keep in mind, we paid a Cleaning fee plus a service fee, not sure what those fees provided for us. When I removed the linens from the bed, I discovered a large, horrible stain on the bed pad. We will definitely NOT be staying there again and I could NOT recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a relaxing venue where the host caters to his customers, this is NOT the place.

Hello, Mary! Thank you so much for leaving a review. It’s a bad one but I value your opinion and respect your right share it. We apologize that the parking designated to guests was not to your expectations of having a spot right outside the front door of your cabin. This is our family home, and our driveway is for our own family to park our vehicles - that we need to be able access at all hours of the day and night - without the hassle it creates to continually ask guests to move their vehicles. This is why we have designated parking for all of our guests, a short 50 ft walk to your door. There is signage directing all guests - but we understand some people do not notice the signs- Since you were already parked there (because you chose to ignore the BIG RED signage)my son helped you and your group unload each and every bag/piece of luggage for your friends/family in those 4 cabins. He then took it to the doors of the cabins and asked that everyone move to the designated parking area for the cabins. You/y’all personally directed your entire group to not listen to him and to not move the vehicles. It wasn’t until I asked you and the group to move the vehicles that they were actually moved. All except one. I believe it was yours (or Henrietta or Mary Ann who also left a horrible review) We value and greatly appreciate each and every one of our guests but your booking/rental does not entitle you to ownership privileges, to have run of the property, or to disrespect myself and/or my family. If parking at your front door is what you’re looking for in a stay I would suggest a roadside motel such as motel 6 or super 8. They typically have parking right outside the front door but that’s still probably pending availability. I had no idea that asking you/your group to move your vehicles from our private driveway would result in a group of elderly woman resorting to fabricating lies and making things up in order to make your/their review(s) seem more genuine. Quite sad (not to mention petty) actually.

What a great place!

Rockin Ranch was an amazing place to get away and enjoy the outdoors! The property was large and secluded if you have enough people to rent out the whole property. The stables and animals close by are an added bonus!

Rising Star, indeed!

We came up for quick getaway, and immediately felt at home upon arrival. We stayed in the Rising Star cabin and it was perfect! Had everything we needed. It’s the cabin located near the pool. Kids loved the easy access, and so did I! The grounds were so neatly kept, and just beautiful. Kids got to see emus up close and personal, fed baby goats, pet horses, had a hay ride! It was the perfect weekend, and we can’t wait to get back!
