About this property

Big family beachhouse on small family budget.

"Ocean Echoes" Comes equipped with a Rumpus Room to keep 6 kids happy, a deck with ocean views to keep the adults happy, and some gorgeous south coast beaches within strolling distance. A short 3 minute walk in one direction gets you to Wimbie Beach which is great for kids, while 3 minutes in another direction gets you to Surf Beach. Local IGA, bottleshop, chemist, hairdresser, medical centre, pizza place and Chinese take away also in walking distance.

We have updated the top floor, creating a calming space that will make you sigh the second you open the front door. Enjoy the back deck accessed by our new 6m sliding door bringing the outside in on the warm nights. A view of Surf Beach can be seen from the deck through the gorgeous old gum trees. We have accommodated several families within the house, with a baby bath, highchair and portable cot available on request. Downstairs we have a huge fully equipped kids zone containing 3 sets of bunks, two lounges, kids toys and books and their own tv. Also downstairs is a separate bedroom, laundry, and the third bathroom. The kitchen holds everything you require including dishwasher, coffee machine, pods and a range of teas, there are staples in the pantry, and soap dispensers throughout the house.

The whole house is accessible to our guests including any pantry or fridge items. We have allocated two lockable cabinets downstairs to hold our personal sheets and towels.

Take a walk up Wimbie St and you're able to get to Surf Beach via access steps at the end of the cul-de-sac. Follow Wimbie St to get you straight down to Wimbie Beach. 10 mins walk back up towards Batehaven on Beach Road gets you to the local shops.

Everything you could need for a beach holiday

We had a wonderful stay. I really appreciated all the little touches in the house. The owners have thought of everything from children’s toys and games to a well stocked kitchen and beach towels available to use. We will definitely be back.

Perfect getaway for a group of friends

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this spacious house in Surf Beach. It was great to have a bathroom each and a lovely deck surrounded by trees. The kids bunk zone downstairs would be perfect with any group with kids so the adults can be left in peace upstairs. Only a few minutes walk to a gorgeous beach or 3min drive to Lilli Pilli, which was great for boogy boarding. Overall, we all loved our stay.

My group of friends and I wanted a get away and this house was absolutely perfect! There was 11 of us and the house accommodated us easily. It was close to a couple beaches and a few stores, as well as some great places around the Bateman's Bay area. Karen was also super helpful, every question answered quickly. Highly recommend staying here, it's a wonderful place!

Great Place for a Family Holiday

We found the house idea for our extended family of six adults and three children. The house was comfortably furnished with options from corners to curl up and read to large dining tables both inside and out for great conversations. There was easy access to a variety of beaches, and the local one, Surf Beach, was great for our kids.Karen was always available and had provided many little items in the kitchen that created a homely feel. Wonderful location and very comfy beds.

This was a lovely location to stay at and was walkable to the beach and had a cute little pocket view of the ocean with beautiful gum trees above on the deck. Would recommend for families for sure! A few things could make this property rental better. When paying this kind of cleaning fee, I was surprised that the property was quite dusty and dirty and looks like it had not been deeply cleaned in a while. I feel like a little bit more care with the cleaning between rentals could have made my experience better and made me feel like I got what I was paying for. This might have been because it's the end of the busy season or something was out of their hands for my rental only, which would make sense because of the other rave reviews. Other than that we enjoyed a peaceful escape with beautiful beaches and trails to walk with family and very yummy coffee from just down the road. Thank you!

Had some trouble locating the place but once we were in it was fantastic.

Beautiful quiet place. Great for our large family. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful view. Older teens loved surfing at surf beach. Good coffee at the cafe and great play ground for the little ones. All close walking distance. House was nicely renovated and we'll equipped!

Ideal for large groups

Fantastic property. We were a group of 3 families with young children, and the house catered for everyone. The kids especially loved having the downstairs space with the bunk beds. We had an issue with accessing the house when we first arrived, but a quick phone call to Karen had it sorted out in minutes. We would love to go back for another stay.

Great getaway in a quiet part of Bateman's

We had a wonderful stay here. Perfect set up for 2 families and a lovely view of the nearby Surf Beach. The beach itself is not patrolled - my family ended up having to rescue a couple of struggling swimmers one day, and later after we left sadly we saw on the news that someone had drowned there. The host (Karen) was very generous allowing us to rebook our trip after a COVID delay. Strongly recommend this house.

Great week at Surf beach

There were 7 of us covering three generations staying for 8 days. There was plenty of room for everyone to eat, socialise and still have some quiet spaces. Short but sweet

We had a quick 2 day stay at this property. It was a great location and the kids retreat downstairs was a hit! The property is a 5 minute walk to the beach, views from the balcony and Karen was lovely to deal with. A perfect family getaway.

We are a family of 6, we've always loved the south coast, and decided to look for a beachhouse down at Batemans, so that we could holiday easier (and cheaper) without worrying about the essentials!

Why they chose this property

This property was a sad old girl when we first met her, but she was everything we needed, within walking distance to 2 beaches, close to shops, medical centre, chemist. Most importantly, there was enough room for all of us, plus the cousins, 3 bedrooms and a beautiful big rumpus room.

What makes this property unique

The rumpus room, or Kids Zone (as we call it), is perfect for throwing all the cousins into, for a game, DVD or just bed time. Once the kids are sorted, adults are free to enjoy the view and a wine upstairs. The house is large enough to host about 3 families comfortably without getting into each others way.
