​Hurricane Update:

The entire complex is built on pillars more than 20 feet off the ground. The condo sustained no damage, we have been accepting guests for several weeks, the pool has been completely drained, acid washed, refilled and we have installed a new pump, a new filter and all new equipment. The pool has never looked better, the beaches are open, the restaurants are open and the weather is fantastic.

The Beach Bay Breeze condo is located with-in walking distance of Anna Maria Island's best waterfront restaurants, beach shops, gift shops, shell shops, boutiques and the quaint shopping village on historic Bridge St. that leads right out onto the pier, famous for strolling, fishing and eating and the restaurant at the end of the pier.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
The Beach Bay Breeze is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom first floor condo sleeping 6, directly over looking Florida's Intra-Coastal Water offering two balconies north and south. The south balcony is accessed by sliding glass doors off both the living room and master bedroom. The master bedroom with King sized bed has a balcony also provide beautiful views of the Intra-Coastal Waterway The north balcony provides spectacular views of Florida’s Intra-Coastal Waterway as well as the world famous Sunshine Bridge over Tampa Bay and is the perfect place to relax and watch the para-sailor's pass by.

The Anna Maria Island Beach Bay Breeze condo provides you with private beach access to the beach, two private sheltered parking, plus tropical landscaped gardens.

The primary bedroom has an en-suite washroom and walk-in closets. The unit is totally air conditioned with phone, free international and domestic long distance calling, WIRELESS HIGH-SPEED INTERNET, cable TV, flat screen television, HI DEFINITION television with over 170 channels and REMOTE KEYLESS LOCKS.

The kitchen is of contemporary design with white cabinets, hardwood countertops and European lighting and offers all amenities including refrigerator and freezer, ice maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, garbage disposal, pots and pans, cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee cups, glasses, blender, coffee maker and toaster, washer/dryer and much more.

What you are surely to like about the Beach Bay Breeze is the location. Located at the narrowest part of Anna Maria Island where the island is only 150 yards wide. Our complex stretches from Florida's Intra-Coastal Waterway to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. We are literally surrounded by water with the pool located in the middle of the complex.

Additionally the free trolley stops right in front of the condo and will take you any where on the island you desire.

Great vacation on Anna Maria Island

This property is in a great location. Close to the beach, bay, restaurants, shops and bars. The condo was well stocked with everything you would ever need. The only thing that was not as described in the property description online were the TVs. The TV in the living room was 32 inches not the 60 inches as described and there is no cable in the bedrooms TVs. Other than those small details, it was a great place to stay.

I was disappointed that the condo was oversold to what it actually was. It sleeps six, we asked if the couch pulled out into a bed and was told yes. No, it didn't, there was a Murphy bed in the kitchen eating area. Not very convenient. The condo is older and dated. The master suite had a walk in tub, no shower. There was a lot of ideas for things to do in a notebook at the condo, except most of the information was very outdated. The service from the rental company was not responsive and doesn't accommodate any type of situation. After speaking to others in the industry, this is not the norm for most rental agencies. I would not use them again or recommend them. My situation was unique and not a nice story, there were no accommodations made even when I asked for them to work with me. They will not make any accommodations other than their normal rules. I also text a question to a message they sent me and didn't get a reply. Not a good experience, felt cheated from what we thought we were getting to what we actually got.

Crumbling, Cluttered & Outdated

This property is literally crumbling when you walk across tile floors. Furniture in living room is uncomfortable, Dining chairs are rickety and some have sharp points that poke up and actually drew blood on one occasion. Beds are not great. Every surface is covered with knickknacks. Cupboards are overfilled with gadgets & appliances of every variety yet lacking necessity. We had to buy wine & beer glasses and a decent can opener. Forget matching dishes, glassware or silverware...eclectic is being kind. There is owners personal belonging in drawers & cupboards in bathroom....nothing instills confidence like lice treatment found under bath sink!!! There was one old whisk broom but no dust pan (corrected with phone call). There was no mop and when one was brought over it was a wringer mop but with out a wringer so hand wringing only option (nasty). Then it takes DAYS to dry the mop (must dry in the sun)or else it STINKS. Large pieces of grout came out with mopping or vacuuming. Owner did send over vacuum bags when I requested. Dish washer runs but doesn't clean. Primary bath is a small room with toilet and walk in tub with shower curtain that has to be placed just so or risk soaking floor. Other bath appears to have been updated at some point. At half the price we paid it would still be a stretch to recommend this place. The location is great. We have rented for three years on Anna Maria and love it. Regarding manager: he did not return phone call placed before we arrived. He did answer the phone when we called for dust pan and mop, acknowledged he knows about crumbling floor. The owner was very nice & responsive when contacted for vacuum bags and I acknowledge they get to decorate and furnish as they like. I am being as honest as possible without exaggeration here. This place is overdue for rehab & updating and that was not shown in published pictures and description on Vrbo.

Horrible dirty dirty towels left behind bedroom door mold in small appliances clumps of dust bunnies in corners. Walls of master bedroom covered in cobwebs floor was Sandy Worst was getting into bed the first night and finding ton of sand in bed sheets dishwasher rake broken light in master bedroom didn’t work smoke alarm keep beeping had to undo We have stayed in a lot of condos this one should not even be rated with a one!!! Location was great only good thing !!!!!!

Beach Bay Breeze Review

Description of property was miss leading. The unit smelled very musty when we arrived. All the AC registers need a good cleaning. Some were shut but all were filthy with mildew and dust filled. The front door looked awful, had mildew and needs to be painted. The unit on the inside appeared not to have been painted in some time, probably 4 to 5 years. The description stated 2 Beds - 2 Bath. Master Bathroom should have been transparent about it being a handicap walk in shower tub that was very, very tiny. I had to stand on the seat to shut the tub door. I could not really turn around in the tub while showering. The shower curtain was moldy, mildew and slimy and was disgusting. The unit was not very well cleaned. The master bed ceiling fan and light were not working properly but I fixed it somewhat. The remote really did not work controlling the light or fan. We had a swarm of termites we woke up to on Tuesday morning. The exterminator came on Thursday AM and said this unit apparently has not been sprayed for termites in a while while the owner / manager told us he regularly treats for termites. . The beach umbrella was broken. The beach chairs were those folding bag chairs not comfortable and what I expected for beach chairs. NOT VERY HAPPY with the accomodations and how they were miss represented on line. We will never rent from this owner again
