​Hurricane Update:

The entire complex is built on pillars more than 20 feet off the ground. The condo sustained no damage, we have been accepting guests for several weeks, the pool has been completely drained, acid washed, refilled and we have installed a new pump, a new filter and all new equipment. The pool has never looked better, the beaches are open, the restaurants are open and the weather is fantastic.

Look in almost any direction, and there are views of the bay, the gulf, and even downtown Sarasota. Steps away from the white sand beaches of Gulf of Mexico, this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo at Baywatch is located high up in the treetops near the shore of Anna Maria Sound. Renters can enjoy the peek-a-boo bay views from the oversized open-aired balcony. Located on the top floor with just one adjoining condo below, Baywatch 8B with windows on all four sides, is a true vacation getaway.

The first bedroom has a queen bed, glider rocker, cable TV, large walk-in closet with extra supplies, and an attached full bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed, twin bed, TV/monitor, and a large walk-in closet where guests will find plenty of gear for the beach. Another full bathroom is located adjacent to the second bedroom. The living room offers a comfy sleeper sofa, an oversized chair, and a large flatscreen cable TV. The dining room has a table, chairs, and bar stools at the counter providing plenty of room for a family meal or game night fun. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare and share meals together, whether enjoying views from the kitchen table, as a group in the dining room, or on the oversized open-aired balcony while taking in the wonderful gulf breezes. Baywatch 8B is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and activities. Renters can leave their car in a covered parking spot and walk, bike, or take the trolley and explore the seven-mile island. Some favorite local restaurants include Smoqehouse, Wicked Cantina, Beach House, and Gulf Drive Cafe. Historic Bridge Street Village with shops, restaurants, and a fishing pier; Leffis Key with nature trails and beautiful views; and Anna Maria Island City Pier with fishing docks, restaurants, and shopping are great places to explore. Baywatch 8B is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise through the treetops over the bay, build castles in the sand, take a dip in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful white sands of Bradenton Beach.

Wonderful condo

Condo was very clean and well equipped, including plenty of beach accessories. Great location which allowed us to walk everywhere or take the trolley when my son and two young children visited. Nice heated pool.

Pros: Incredibly clean, LOTS of towels, beach chairs and beach/pool toys and a 3-4 min walk from the room to beachCons: Property manager takes a long time to respond to texts/calls (if you get one at all) and parking spot is convenient BUT it’s a car port with a 7’ clearance, so large trucks will not fit and the guest spots were taken up by the construction company. The beds are incredibly soft and LOUD. like standing up from a laying position would wake up my child in the other bed. Another very small and minor thing is that there is a very large building being built in front of this house so you only get to see a very small portion of the bay, so don’t expect any sunrise pictures from your room. All together, it was a good experience but I do wish communication was a little quicker as the people traveling with us had a large truck and could not park in our designated spot and the property manager never responded to our messages about other options until we had a letter put on their vehicle. The amount of towels and pool/beach toys along with a wagon, umbrella and cooler were a fabulous surprise.

The closet was stocked with everything you’d need for the beach. We unfortunately didn’t know just exactly with what so we bought beach toys and boogie boards without knowing all of that is already there and then some! Very nice location! I LOVED being able to walk to the pier, shops, restaurants, and the beach. This is now my number 1 place in Florida to stay! Thank you for sharing this place for us to vacation!

Mostly great

The property was nice and described accurately in the listing. Our only frustration was communicating with management. They sent texts after we booked which were helpful and they encouraged us reach out anytime with questions. On several occasions, we did reach out and received acknowledgement pretty quickly that the messages were received, and they would get back to us with an answer shortly but both times, no follow up was received.

Annual Girls Get Away

Loved the property, convenient to bars, restaurants, and beach. Construction happening right off the back deck so be prepared for that. Partial view of the bay. It was clean and had nice little additions that VRBOS typically don’t have. Will stay here again. Only thing that was off was the cleaning crew was still there at check in time.

Can’t beat the view!

We really enjoyed the view of the water, dolphins at times and birds! It’s a peaceful place but yet so close to so many good restaurants, beach and we really enjoyed taking the sunset dolphin cruise! The kitchen is a bit small for two but overall a nice open layout for a 2-bed condo! Tasteful decor and mostly all updated. Would definitely come back!

Great Location

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in 8B. Property was clean and recently renovated. Easy access to the beach and trolley stop. Short walk to Bridge Street Pier Shops. New construction adjacent to the property was a little noisy and mostly blocks a once great view of the bay from the deck. Kitchen could use a few more/newer cooking utensils and extra plates/bowls. Overall, great experience and would consider renting again.

Great condo.

Beautiful condo, very clean. There was some unslightly construction just behind the building but that’s not the fault of the condo owner. The condo is a 2 minute walk to the beach, which is a quiet part of the beach so that was an added bonus. The condo is also in walking distance to Bridge Street and plenty of restaurants which was awesome since parking on the island is difficult. We would definitely stay with Sandy and Terry again.

Great location, comfortable and quiet condo

The condo is in an excellent location with the beach being a very short walk nearby. Restaurants, grocery and shops close-by, too. We appreciated the beach chairs and plenty of beach towels available to use. Having coffee by the pool in the mornings was wonderful. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking implements and dishes, the bedrooms are spacious (we did have some trouble lowering a few bedroom blinds so we left them alone once we got them got them down for privacy), the bathrooms and amenities were well stocked. The area around the condo is very walkable and we felt super safe. The only hiccup we had was that we got in around midnight the first night and had a lot of trouble finding the little road that goes back to the condo, gps sends you through the Silver Surf parking lot to the condos behind but you can’t get there that way because the gates are locked. The road you need to turn on is to the right of Silver Surf and hard to see in the dark (it’s much easier to see in the daytime). But, once we finally found it we had no further problems. We loved our stay here and recommend it highly; we would stay here again if we visit AMI again.

The space was a perfect size , plenty of room for four adults . Location was good. Enjoyed the peacefulness of the area but close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. We were provided with everything we needed for the beach too which was very helpful. The building could use a touch up, looks slightly run down .

Perfect island stay

Beautiful! Our family absolutely loved this stay. The condo looked exactly like the pictures and had so many amenities for the kids including board games, beach toys, fishing items and more. Pool was crystal clear and the dock outback was perfect for fishing and even provided a fillet table and hose. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful stay and the hosts were great people. Thank you for a wonderful family vacay!

Spring Break Getaway

This was our first time to Anna Maria and it did not disappoint. The owners were always very quick to respond with questions and were very helpful. The condo was welcoming and very clean. The only disappointment was the construction going on right in front of the deck. I know the island has been through a lot, and this is totally understandable, however it would have been nice to have been notified. All in all, we would most definitely stay her again.

Overall a Very Nice Property

Just a couple things: this unit is essentially on the third level with 32 steps to access it. It was a long climb for someone recovering from knee replacement. There is a building being constructed right across from the unit balcony, often noisy.
