Grill didn’t work. And the other had no charcoal. Door code didn’t work.

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Check-in, communication
The property itself is beautiful and has real promise — but it needs owner attention and Yonder's management is unacceptable. On arrival: rusted chain across the access road, cobwebs on outdoor furniture, an alcohol bottle by the firepit (we had kids), and overgrown paths throughout. No blinds on the upper floor despite floor-to-ceiling windows — sleep was badly disrupted. An onsite building (apparently an exercise room with a Peloton) was inaccessible to guests — a missed opportunity. Guests should also be warned the gravel driveway is slippery.Yonder's management was a failure. We had arranged to drop luggage at 2 PM while cleaning took place — early check-in wasn't available, but this had been agreed. There was no cleaning crew when we arrived. We contacted Yonder twice before our scheduled 4 PM check-in to flag this — no action was taken. At 4:30 PM the cleaners appeared to have just started and informed us the owner hadn't approved check-in — something guests should never have to hear. We waited in torrential rain with children for nearly 2 hours. Check-in was around 6 PM and the clean felt superficial & incomplete for all outdoor areas. Yonder never apologized or offered resolution — VRBO had to intervene. We also learned the prior guest had the same access code — a security issue only resolved after we pushed back. With owner investment — trail info, accessible amenities, proper upkeep — this place could be exceptional. We won't book Yonder-managed properties again.
