The property is very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. However, when we booked this place we specifically were looking for a waterfront with air conditioning. This property was listed as having AC, being a lake view, having a washer and dryer, and having kayaks/canoes. None of those things was true. It is not a lake view at all, it was a full 7 minute walk to the lake, there were no kayaks or canoes available (there were some but they were not for our property, and the other host took pity on us and let us use his thankfully!), there was no washer/dryer and no air conditioning. On top of it, the listing did not mention that the basement/bottom floor area was only accessible through the outside. We have 10, 11 and 12 year old boys so it was alright but if anything happened they would have had to go outside and up a bunch of stairs to get into the main house to where we were sleeping. That should have been mentioned. Each time I asked the host about something they went and updated the listing after the fact and never offered to compensate me for the false advertising. VRBO finally gave me a small credit, but frankly it wasn’t enough considering how many lies were in the property description. We spent the week we had booked because the property was non refundable, otherwise we would not have stayed because it was hot and so many things were not as advertised.
