This is an excellent location, central to everything in Garmisch and it was so quiet, great to sit outside on the decks and also, so quiet for sleeping. Laundry is right in the apartment. The views from the apartment are outstanding!
Lovely apartment in a great location! The host made everything easy and I would recommend staying here if you're looking for quality accomodations in Garmisch!
The location was excellent. Easy walk to several conveniences. The view was outstanding. The communication was great. We checked in late and they were very helpful and accommodating.
Unit was a great size and location was superb. Unfortunately the unit was missing very basic amenities such as, toaster, microwave, bedside tables with lamps. The TV had a couple of channels with no streaming capabilities. The beds were very very uncomfortable and were hostel standard. The 4 lights on the motion circuit were annoying as the 2 lights over the dining table continually turned off even while sitting there. The host was friendly and helpful.
This lovely apartment, with its balconies overlooking the surrounding Alps, is in the historic Ludwigstrasse, where a lot happens, both spontaneous and planned. From this street there is easy access to the hiking areas.
Very quaint apartment. This was conveniently located near small shops and restaurants. Skiing was about 10 minutes away and was perfect. Hope to return someday soon
You can't beat the location if wanting to be on the Partenkirchen side of town. Ludwigstrasse is the prettiest street in town, lots of great restaurants within a block. Check-in was perfect through a local ferrienwohnungen office about 1/3 mile from the property. They had a parking spot for us so that made things very easy. The flat is very nice and again the views are great from each bedroom. The kitchen had ample pots/plates for cooking/eating. Having a washer was great. The only minor issue was it seems the previous renter smoked and was apparent, but we left windows open and it aired out well. G-P is just a lovely place to visit and you won't be disappointed here.
What a wonderful apartment! It’s right in tbe old town of Partenkirchen and surrounded by restaurants and cafes/bakeries. It was quite large and plenty warm during a very cold weekend. All of the bedrooms do have doors. Two spacious bathrooms, one with a bathtub perfect for kids. The underground parking was quite low and tight, and we couldn’t fit our van in. But there is plenty of free overnight street parking.
A great apartment and spacious enough for 2 couples and 2 children. A bonus having 2 bathrooms. Lovely views from the balconies and nice and warm and has a washing machine which was greatly appreciated. Easy to walk to the supermarket and shops. The pillows & mattresses however weren’t comfortable at all. Definitely missing a personal touch since it’s a business with multiple apartments, plus some minor touches noticeably missing: no lamps, no bedside tables, no microwave, and getting the TV to connect to WiFi was hit and miss. No instructions for where to leave rubbish or recycling. Overall would recommend staying here as a great base to explore.
We did not realize how literally the location is right in the heart of the historic Ludwigstraße. There are amazing restaurants, bakeries and cafes right across the street and nearby, along with grocery shopping a few blocks walk. There are museums and beautiful churches within walking distance as well. The onsite parking did not end up working out, but there was a public underground parking garage a block away that was only 5Euro a day. We were there during Christmas Market season and there was a gluhwein stand right below the apartment! Rcommendations on nearby restaurants: Werdenfelser Hof (best authentic Bavarian meal); Bakery Josef Krätz (award winning), REWE for grocery! It was also a 20 minute walk to historic city center for the main GAP Christmas Market, very small and cute, but plenty of upscale shops if that is your thing.
We arrived at the assigned key handover point about a half hour late. By that time, they had left instructions to obtain the keys. The process was smooth. Due, in part, to some sort of reading comprehension problem on my part and some pretty obstructive construction going on next to the building, it took a while to find our designated parking spot. We were unaware of the additional tax due on arrival, but it wasn’t onerous and they were gracious while we sorted all that out. Since we had a car, we did not look into the public transportation. It’s pretty close to a lot of cool stuff. We visited Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, the Zugspitze, the bakery that’s down the block and open at 6am, and random stuff that we saw while out driving around. It was quiet, we felt safe here, and we enjoyed our stay.
